Is the Ayr fan that ran on the park coming down for this one? Get him to bring his boots if he is. If he’d ran on and slipped this season he’d be in line for player of the year.

It is not the same story as last season. The story this season is much more depressing and is going to have a far worse ending.
The lead character needs dispatched to breath some life into the plot.0 -
Absolutely laughable that he still hasn't gone.

You're a glutton for punishment. I gave up watching his interviews months ago. Just a vast void of nothingness that comes out of his mouth. He's either deluded or delusional as he never sees it the same way I (and I expect most of our fans) do.

We have two choices. Guaranteed 10th place with Johnston in charge, or a slight hope of 9th if we get rid. If the board don’t take this option then they are just as much to blame due to their inaction.

What cliches can we anticipate in Johnston’s post-match interview?
Im going with “individual errors” and “just couldn’t take our chances “.
“Tough conditions” and “difficult place to go”.0 -
El Bakhtaoui was average at best and the fact people got such massive hard-ons for him sums up this shitshow of a season.

How many goals has that diddy conceded since coming in? Must be averaging close to 3 a game.

It is highly probable we won’t be able attract anyone who will be able to salvage this mess. But that is not a good enough reason for the inept charlatan to keep his job.
This has been an utter disaster of a season however you measure these things and he deserves to pay the price for this failure.
He should have been punted in November.1 -
Oh well that’ll be that then.

Price a seething, heads gone mess. Pleasing.

Thought Dobbie has been disappointing all season, when I’ve seen him. He doesn’t seem as interested as he used to be. Think the only thing he did all game yesterday, was his terrible dive at the edge of the box in the second half. I find it bizarre that Queens fans are so quick to criticise Turner’s dive (which was a shocker and he was rightly booked for), but have just forgotten about Dobbie’s... he dived 2/3ft forward, so that he landed inside the box, after running in between 2 defenders and realising he had hit it too far ahead of himself. Pathetic stuff.
He doesn’t look the same player he was and I wonder if age has caught up to him. He used to turn really quickly and get away from defenders, but doesn’t seem capable of that now. He used to be capable of making chances for himself, out of nothing, but now seems to spend all game moaning about everything and blaming everyone else, when his first touch is poor, or he runs into a defender. Not sure if he’s just given up, or age has caught up with him.
Cheers Geoff.0 -
We need to talk about Dobbie, his body language and performance last few months has been worrying. Something isn’t right.
Dobbie is probably as pissed off playing in a Johnston team as we all are watching one. The only injury worries he’ll have is a strained neck from watching the ball getting shelled over his head all game.
I’ve said it before but Johnston failing to make the most of having Dobbie at his disposal should be a sacking offence on its own. Factor in his complete failure across all competitions and I’m struggling to think why we are still employing him and that cretin Clark.1 -
Another unhelpful result. Johnston will view it as “stopping the rot” and will cling onto his job, but draws won’t save us and neither will he.

That was an excellent read and it sounds like Dan Armstrong deserves a lot of credit for the work he is doing.
Generally I am quite cynical about the term "community club" as it is a pretty vague term that almost every club seems to use about themselves. Given the general apathy towards the club from the Dumfries public I wasn't really sure if it applied to us or not. We don't feel like an integral cog at the heart of the community, with most people unable to name a player or tell you our last result.
That article dispels that view though with a considerable list of really great work the club does in the community. It just shows how important a football team is to a town/region. I really hope it continues to grow.

Has he not been sacked yet? I'm starting to worry it might not happen.

It's depressing enough that we are even talking about this subject but despite it seeming impossible at the time, I think this midfield is definitely worse than the one Macpherson assembled. Both McLaughlan and Simmons were on a negative career trajectory that either started with us, or certainly accelerated but at least they had track records (of sorts) of being footballers at some point and very occasionally showed it. I'm not sure if some of the current crop will even be playing the game in a few years they are so bad.

Absolutely scandalous that he hasn’t been punted by now.

The claim that Johnston has run out of ideas suggests he actually had some in the first place.
Why have we not binned this abject failure of a manager yet? The announcement should have been made at 5pm yesterday.

Hoping the new manager bounce will lead to a comfortable away win.
Also hoping to win the lotto jackpot and I’ve not got a ticket.0 -
Delighted to have dodged that.
A narrow defeat would have lead to the usual excuses and he may well have clung onto his job. Hopefully an absolute horsing like that forces the board’s hand.0

Clearly the board foresaw the fixture cancellations and have been holding off sacking Johnston so that they don’t have to stump up compensation with no money coming in. The season will then become null and void, we’ll survive relegation and sack him in the summer when it will cost us less money.
They aren’t indecisive shitebags at all, and are in fact geniuses!
