  1. We only have 3 on the books. One is suspended, and one is Buchanan.
  2. Our defence looks all over the place. No real shock with midfielders in both full back positions. Absolute madness we haven’t strengthened the defence.
  3. I feel our pitch actually plays better the wetter it is so that shouldn’t be a problem. There have been plenty of games ruined by high winds in recent memory though. For some reason gale force winds and our brand of hoofball don’t mix.
  4. I'll confess I didn't follow the fallout all that closely, once the decision was made all the talk became rather tedious and futile, but I know radio Scotland kept banging the drum for Kelty with the argument that it was making a mockery of the newly introduced pyramid system. It was a shitty situation all round that we undoubtedly benefitted from while others were undoubtedly hard done by but I thought the hard luck story about Kelty was out of proportion considering what they were "robbed of" was a chance to play a two legged tie, for the right to play another two-legged tie, which may have seen them promoted. It's not quite as harsh as Partick being a point behind us with a game in hand, or the Raith/Falkirk scenario discussed above.
  5. Oh yeah, absolutely hilarious. The fact our bacon was saved at the expense of Falkirk and an Ian McCall led Partick was delightful.
  6. Whilst I can't imagine Thistle's record over the same period makes for much better reading , none of our support are under any illusions how fortunate we were last season. We won a watch no two ways about it. Despite the media largely focussing on Hearts and Kelty I think Partick probably suffered the largest "injustice" out of everyone.
  7. People commenting on decisions based on what they think the rule should be rather than what it actually is has got to be the second most infuriating thing about football. I blame the numerous pundits who make a living from doing exactly this. Of course the most infuriating thing about football is watching Queens defend set pieces. I wish I knew who to blame for that one. I just assumed it was Aaron Muirhead.
  8. Agreed. I’m certainly not taking solace from the fact “we’ll be alright once we sort the defence” given we’ve not been able to sort the defence for the past two seasons and we’ve not been alright in them!
  9. Crowd wankery and an over-inflated opinion of their team’s ability. The Honest Bairns might be a more suitable nickname for Ayr this season.
  10. Probably so they can catch any possible positive cases to protect their employees and those they come into contact with.
  11. We could chat about what a magnificent player Lyndon Dykes is instead if you’d like?
  12. I thought in the main it was a very impressive showing and although you can't read too much into one game it gave a lot of cause for optimism. Fitzpatrick looks to be the pick of the signings, his powerful direct running was at the forefront of everything good that we did. Dobbie looks to still have it, not that I ever really doubted him, but I was a wee bit concerned what sort of shape he was going to be in after missing some of pre-season. East and Shields look like being the right kind of foil for him both putting in a power of work, with the latter scoring a peach of a solo effort. Big Obileye looks solid at the back, he won't lose much in the air over the course of the season but also looks comfortable with the ball on the deck. I also liked the look of Maxwell, perhaps our run of top notch left backs will continue? As far as negatives are concerned, the goals we conceded were hugely disappointing, as was losing the shootout after the amount of work we put into the game. I also hope Wullie Gibson at right-back is just a stop gap. He didn't make any glaring errors but St Mirren were always looking dangerous down his side. It would be nice to get a specialist full back in as well as another centre-half or two.
  13. It's most likely just a blip in your internet connection at home. Even large scale platforms such as YouTube and Netflix etc. suffer from the occasional "buffering" issue so if it's only a few seconds I don't think it would really indicate a problem as such. If your TV has the facility to be cabled into your router rather than connected via wifi (I'm assuming that's how you were connected) that may improve things but it relies on your router being in a suitable location to do this, and you having an Ethernet cable.
  14. I thought the coverage was absolutely top notch. I was a bit wary after the Morton balls up and actually kept quiet on that one until I had seen our own production, but it was night and day. Congratulations to all that were involved in it, great stuff!
  15. That was the Morton goal I was describing based on our live updates.
  16. It’s probably more accurate to call it an “inexperienced at this level” squad rather than a young squad then. I think that’s what people are getting at. I’m far more excited by the element of the unknown this season brings than I would be over the usual faces from the merry-go-round. We all knew how the likes of Oliver, Kidd and Paton were going to turn out last season before they kicked a ball. Of course there’s no guarantees this years squad will fair any better, but at least we’ll have a few weeks of intrigue until we work it out.
  17. Yeah I noticed the extra pictures on the store. I've posted some of them in the kits thread. The away shorts look great as well, they remind me of this belter of a Scotland tracksuit.
  18. First pictures of our new kits just released. http://www.qosfc.com/news-5230
  19. First images of the new kit now on the OS http://www.qosfc.com/news-5230 The home top is fine pretty plain and simple but that's not a bad thing. It's very similar to the first Macron home top but without the striped collar. I like the look of the away top a lot.
