  4. Just to be clear, if any club wishes to change anything regarding a published fixture, ( KO time, date or venue,) it is up to them to contact their opponents for agreement. Both clubs then need to confirm this by contacting me via a text or email.
  5. I've had nothing from Maryhill or Pollok. I did get an email from Maryhill about playing all their sectional games at home, which is in line with the switch for the Shettleston game.
  6. Sorry Archieb, I misread your post. I thought it was the 3 group games you were on about. But you are right the knock-out stages are reversed for home advantage.
  7. It's probably a throw-back to the old sectional league cups format. It does ensure that teams are not opening the season against the same opponents. It also helps to produce derby games, by that I mean that if your team's local derby didn't land on the Saturday last year it might happen this year. ie- Maybole v Girvan, Whitletts v Annbank, Muirkirk v Lugar, Port Glasgow v Greenock, Cumbernauld v Kilsyth. Games are also played under the split gate principle.
  8. Already discussed this with Rossvale. They will play that game at Huntershill.
  9. Hi there all Junior Fans, I'm continually receiving calls and messages asking about the release of fixtures. So just for clarity, the fixture list is ready and will be released to the clubs at the AGM of the West Region, which takes place on Wednesday 26th June. They will then go live on the website following that meeting. But, for those of you that are desperate for news, you should be able to work out the first 3 fixtures of the season in the Sectional League Cup. Fixtures are moved on a day and reversed from what they were last season. So, Game 2 is now Game 1, Game 3 is now Game 2 and Game 1 is now Game 3. If you were at home in any of the games you will now be away in the corresponding fixture and vice-versa for any away games. Kennie Young Fixture Secretary (WRSJFA)
  10. Tonight's game between Kirkintilloch Rob Roy and Beith Juniors has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. The fixture has now been changed back to the original date. Saturday 1st June, 2 PM KO at Guy's Meadow. Did I hear someone mention summer football?
  11. Results added and Tables updated. http://www.scottishjuniorfa.com/sjfa/competition_results.cfm?page=1762
  12. Laws of the game 03 Players Rule 7. Extra persons on the field of play The coach and other officials named on the team list (with the exception of players or substitutes) are team officials. Anyone not named on the team list as a player, substitute or team official is an outside agent. If a team official, substitute, substituted or sent off player or outside agent enters the field of play the referee must: • only stop play if there is interference with play • have the person removed when play stops • take appropriate disciplinary action If play is stopped and the interference was by: • a team official, substitute, substituted or sent off player, play restarts with a direct free kick or penalty kick • an outside agent, play restarts with a dropped ball
  13. Originally Neilston’s January fixtures were set as 5th Home v Arthurlie, 19th Away v St Roch’s, 26th Home v Kello. The West of Scotland Cup was played on 12th January and when the draw was made, I had 9 teams to sort league games for. For Neilston that meant a Home game v Girvan as that was the best configuration to let me list 4 games. The Arthurlie and Girvan games were played, there was no game on Brig-o-Lea on 19th and then it was used for the Kello game on the 26th. The next game played at the Brig was on 16th Feb, then followed 2 away games (both played) before a postponed fixture (waterlogged) at home on 9th March and a postponed away fixture (Benburb playing in the West Cup) on 16th, only 1 game survived the weather on the 16th so the West Cup was moved to the 23rd, unfortunately for Neilston that meant their game against Craigmark was postponed. I don't see where 3 home games in January caused any problems, and I can hardly be held responsible for Scottish weather.
  14. My info from the game was that it was abandoned due to the pitch becoming unplayable. No mention of an injury and that was confirmed by the referees report.
  15. I also hate to do it, but where's the punctuation?
  16. This is what they want the juniors to get involved with. "Come on over, the grass is far greener over here, we will do away with the glass ceiling and we'll all become one big happy family." Meanwhile the self preservation society kicks in. "Don't tell the Juniors, but once they agree to join, we'll remove the glass ceiling, but we'll just built some more layers onto the wall and keep them in their place."
  17. I've always said that communication is a good thing and I will try to answer queries and even complaints as long as they are relevant and reasonably respectful. But as soon as a thread drops into the gutter and becomes a bit of a bitchfest , I'm off and I'll leave you all to it.
  18. There are ways that fixtures on the 13th October will be affected. A postponement followed by a draw, a draw followed by a postponement or 2 postponements. Other than that fixtures will go ahead on the 13th as planned. I can't foresee how things will turn out on Saturday or the following Saturday, so I can't help you out on whether you should book a bus or not.
