I can't help thinking that people would feel a little better towards Rangers if they were being a little more humble about their circumstances and not so arrogant. If the admins had went about their job in the usual fashion and sold off half the team and most of the back room staff, they weren't staying in hotels a 45 minute drive away the night before a game, or wasting money on card displays while small companies go unpaid, people might be more inclined to accept the argument that they should remain in the SPL (albeit with some sort of points deduction/transfer embargo etc).

Some times you get a new contract, sometimes you don't - they cannot ask you to sign a new contract for something that is not in your favour - ie: they could increase the amount of holidays you are entitled to, but they are not allowed to decrease them. Who knows what will apply in Rangers case - I think they're just making it up as the go along.

From what I read earlier - Craig Whyte is peripheral to what is happening with Miller - the admins can do what they wish with the company, including transferring loads of bits of it into a 'not a Newco' Craig Whyte is only needed when Bill Miller wants to join the two (oldco & newco) back together - Craigy would need to hand over his share to Miller to allow the Newco to assume the rights to past trophies, etc.

Daily Record this morning I love how they've put the spin on it that HMRC are going to agree to Miller's proposals - HMRC have only agreed to the proposals set forward in the creditors notice ie: allowing haudit & daudit to perform the duties of administrators and to allow them to try and find a solution - at no time did they say "Oh, I think 3p in the £ sounds like a deal we can agree with." This is even more annoying when we have direct quotes from HMRC saying they have not discussed the deal and have no agreement - although I don;t know why I'm at all surprised by the MSM these days.

I'm amazed (well, no not really) at how the papers are treating this as the end game - "Oh look, we've finally settle on a preferred bidder and this is what's going to happen now" - well no actually, it's not, they still have to get the CVA (or is it a CVL?) past the creditors which according to everyone else outwith MSM has a snowball in hells chance of being accepted.
-
I *think* from what they said - that the assets would be 'hived off' to a separate company, but it can't actually be done until a CVA is agree'd - if the CVA is rejected then they go back into administration or liquidation. (I'm assuming that it would be under the control of the admins until the CVA is accepted - Bill Miller can't get his mitts on it until he parts with the money, and there's no need to part with the money if the CVA is rejected).

I'm wondering how many Chief Executives have underestimated their own support? I'm what would be considered a part time supporter - I generally only manage along to maybe 6 or 7 home games a season (not incl. cup games) - through various reasons (work commitments, nights out, other obligations, etc). I'd be quite happy to guarantee to Stewart Gilmour that if RFC are not in the SPL next season I'll buy a season ticket, even if it means I only get 6 games out of it.

I must be missing something because i cannot see where costs were cut in the overall running of the club? We were told at the start that the club was making a loss of almost £1million a month - this was apparently found mainly through wage cuts to players - but then the administrators bill of £1million a month is added taking them back to where they were to begin with?
