  1. Nowt to do with Football. Work has a job tomorrow delivery to Brockville Street in East End of Glasgow, had a look to see where it is and the three streets adjacent to it are Banknock Street, Bainsford Street, Camelon Street, anyone know the Falkirk connection to this area of Glasgow ?
  2. Definitely on a fishing trip, “Our Class” you looked like a Welfare Team on your last two televised matches. Falkirk will win this tie
  3. I'd give the option to Concessions to pay the Adult price if they can afford to do so, as i'm sure many of them can, and the age demographic of the support includes a lot of pensioners, who aren't poor. There is quite a large price ( too large in my opinion £100 for Main and South Stands and £ 55 for Prime Main Stand) differential between an Adult and a Concession Season ticket. I'd also at least make a charge for Under 12's going to Prime main stand. They should be paying something for attending a match in that area
  4. Excellent pricing, Adult: £20 Concession: £15 (Over 65 and Student) Under 18: £10 ( Plenty of 18-23 year olds having a shave ) Under 12: FREE with a paying adult (maximum of 3 free tickets per adult)
  5. I agree, and seem to remember teams didn't have to play "Catch up" games leading into Cup Ties I remember we played St Mirren two nights in a row in the cup after they had got the original / first match postponed, supposed waterlogged pitch, more to do with suiting their own team shortages. 1-1 at Love Street then lost 3-0 at Brockville the next night
  6. Ridiculous sending Kimarnock to Inverness on a Scottish Cup Q Final night game.
  7. Ridiculous sending Kimarnock to Inverness on a Scottish Cup Q Final night game. Can see us being allocated Dunfermline away on the 7th or 8th March now ?
  8. Know what your saying, but i still think we'd have won 5-2. We have a bit of resiliance about us now. Watching their Aberdeen game the longer the game went their back four became slower than the cab horses they already are. When you look at it again Aberdeen should never have lost to Darvel
  9. McGlynn Falkirk manager in an interview was asked after the last league game against Alloa about the forthcoming Cup Tie against Darvel. He said, Falkirk would need to be well prepared and Darvel's results against Montrose and Aberdeen showed that they were a good side. He went on to say they had some players capable of playing at league two and maybe a couple at league one level, but they were only playing at Darvel because of the money.
  10. She'll be living out of the country if that ever happens again
  11. Good Tie, an opportunity for both sides to get to Hampden for the Semi. If they will play one tie on the Friday, probably be this one, should know schedule soon. Hopefully the same Ayr that played Queens park at Ochilview the other week, turn up, they were very poor and the ball ended up black and blue, but then again that might have been an exception to how they normally play. Few games to get out the way before then, but hopefully a good crowd, decent away support, and Falkirk win 2-1
  12. Depending upon where they plot the Ayr game in, if its the Friday 10th or Saturday 11th I think we’ll play the rearranged Dunfermline game Tuesday 14th. If it’s Sunday 12th or Monday 13th we may play the rearranged Dunfermline game Tuesday 7th, however at one time you didn’t need to play rearranged games in the midweek leading into a Cup Tie, that may now have changed ?
  13. After the Aberdeen Match, there was no excuses for Falkirk to be unprepared. Having watched the Abereen match I knew Falkirk would make more chances than Aberdeen did, and had pace up front against a pretty slow defence. The first two goals showed how slow they were. Falkirk were right up and focused on winning, that wouldn’t have happened these last four seasons. Darvel were quite neat passing in the midfield, but were only capable of forcing pressure in occasional moments. If they win their league and meet Linlithgow to go into the Lowland League I’d maybe go to see the match at Linlithgow. The pitch is quality for a grass pitch in Scotland this time of year, the visiting area is hopeless unless you are against the barrier or taller than folks on the barrier, those three four back seen nothing.
  14. I hope so, but don't see it being quite so comfortable. Falkirk have no excuses for any surprise element, everyone has seen what happened v Montrose and Aberdeen. I don't think Falkirk will take the match as casually as Aberdeen did.
  15. Forthbank Stirling 3808 is perfect for Raith and Accies
  16. Do supporters club buses get tickets “Ring Fenced” when it come to all ticket matches, or how does it work for them ?
  17. Good day all round. Gap closed to 5 points, every game massive now, especially this away run were into. Hope we play the rearranged Dunfermline away match before our home fixture against them. Certainly a sight more enjoyable than the last two seasons.
  18. How many Aberdeen fans actually attended the last match ? I guess that was the first time folks were at the top of that banking.
  19. The TV Scottish Cup 5th Round ties should be announced by tomorrow. Last year they were 5.30 Saturday 2.00 Sunday 4.00 Sunday 7.45 Monday If we end up with a TV match hope its a Sunday one.
  20. It’s the Patrons aim to keep their shareholding at 26% by buying additional shares and not allowing their shareholding to be diluted. Its £10,000 minimum to “Buy In” If you already had say £8,000 of shares I don’t know if you’d get into the Patron Group by buying another £2,000 ? If you want your own shares the club will sell them to you 1000 shares £400 minimum “Buy In” easy terms to pay but don’t get your share certificate until all is paid. Personally I think the Patrons Group have to be given credit for ponying up and being affluent enough to keep adding to the pot if required, although better ways of financing, and reducing costs are required
  21. I tend to agree about venue ( Overpriced Drink ) and speakers on this occasion don’t really float my boat, but I’ve still booked a table as there’s not been one for a while and we need to chip in when we can.
  22. When the CEO / Board spoke at the Dundee game they said income had reached 85% of last years total, I can’t remember if that was to October or November. However they were expressing something that sounded good on the face of it but last years income was shit at £1.3 Million, so we should have been looking at a target of £2 Million. Christ our last year at Brockville 20 years ago had an income of £ 1.676 Million IF we have to find £600K between now and the end of the season in addition to funding that has already come from Patrons / Loans / Donations we’re onto plumbs, no chance. I’d hope that is part of the £600K and will be coming to us gradually to meet Cash Flow demands which are going to be tight as we’ve only 2 home games for weeks. If we can’t reach £2 Million income in 2023 when we were at £1.676 Million in 2003 we are struggling
  23. If you go back a few years to the BTB initiative that didn't come to fruition, apart from prospective Patrons, some 800 or so others had intimated an interest to pledge within an instant. At that time i circulated "The Appeal" from BTB to many friends / work mates in my address book, and i know a Bolton Fan, West Ham Fan, and Leeds Fan ( All work mates ) and two relations who never attend games but see Falkirk as their football team that were prepared to " Sign Up" I think the BTB call at the time had more bite to it, than the current FSS I believe it is from people not 100% into the club that an increase in numbers could come from. Fans family members. Friends elsewhere in UK and abroad who look out for Falkirk's result. Look at the numbers locally who give a monthly donation to Strathcarron, that probably have little or no association with the Charity. They do it as they see it as a local organisation worth supporting financially on a small scale.
  24. Crunch time coming up. 6 away league games in next 8 or 7 in next 9 if Dunfermline is rearranged, between now and 18th March. The fans have supported the team well this season, but we need to give the team all we can in this period, it might be crap to go to Edinburgh, Kelty, Alloa Midweek, QofS, at this time of year, but if we show up in numbers we’ll get the results.
