  1. The £500,000 will be the Covid Grant from the Scottish Government that all Championship teams received
  2. Even this kind of run in wouldn’t stop us winning the league I think it will be won at Edinburgh home now maybe have a couple of away draws before then.
  3. It won’t be a Queens. Hamilton surely will get some points in their next four games
  4. Giving away age here. We won 2nd Division at Love Street in 1974/75 on a Wednesday night. We had to avoid a three goal defeat to be Champions and it played out a 0-0 draw. We should have had it done on the previous Saturday which was the proper last day of the season, but we lost 2-0 to Clydebank and had to wait until the re-scheduled match in Paisley was played. Won the league by a point from Queen of the South. Was a season when reconstruction was happening and 6 teams went into the New League One.
  5. Town and Pubs also get a turn with a home title win, as they will get on Trophy Day 5th May, which is also a Bank Holiday Weekend
  6. Following on Bridge of Allan’s arithmetic Earliest it can be won is Stirling Away but needs us to win next 3 and Hamilton to loose next 3 If gap remains 17 points after Montrose Away, League is won as only 5 games then remain. I think it will be either Montrose Away or Cove Home
  7. You’ll be able to stick your 700 in the Main Stand and give us the rest of the ground
  8. Possibility you might get a decent Pay Day in a few weeks as the Saturday night match might be the one Falkirk win promotion at. Better give some though to where you might need to fit in 4000 Falkirk Fans.
  9. Jordan Allan will then be the only deadwood in contract we need off the books replacing Brad McKay
  10. They are numbers he's used to writing on his Golf Score Card
  11. Hypothetically : If you could sign Arfield. Or Sibbald. Who would you sign ?
  12. I’d be looking to get them paid off and out the door
  13. For what it’s worth I’d keep Oliver Not sure the contract position but I’d get rid of Long Loan Hogarth Bisland Loan McGinn Mackie Agyeman Allan
  14. Another big effort to get a win and go 14 points clear. Get it done asap.
  15. I sit in line where Rose was when the ball was played and he was definitely Offside from Lang’s position, whether Donaldson was wider and a bit behind Lang played Rose onside, maybe. The stand side linesman was close enough in line that he should have got the decision correct. It was a bad goal and time to loose one, it gave Accies a glimmer of hope and Falkirk then had the issue to either stick or twist. If Falkirk had got to Half Time 3-0 they would have won 4 or 5 nil.
  16. If a week on Tuesday we are 14 points clear ( wishful thinking I know) I’ll then believe we are home and hosed If we finally get out this mire the 4500 that have stuck with this for 7 years are equal to players management board in getting this result The job isn’t done. If you have an ounce of being a Falkirk supporter in you, get your arse to next weeks match.
  17. McCann is having a great season and is well worth retaining. However he has been found out a couple of times being too advanced before attacks have began or likely to begin, like where he was when Nesbit was closed down in a wide right defensive position on Saturday when he played the ball back to Lang he didn’t have on out ball left to McCann as he was trotting back from being too advanced at a point when he was unlikely to receive the ball.
  18. I was in the ground early yesterday and watched the three keepers go through their warm up with the coach. You could actually make an argument that the young lad who wasn’t in the squad looked the best of the three. One part of the routine was a keeper or goalkeeping coach hitting either easy to take cross balls or crosses that were miss hit left right and centre. Is it too much get a sub forward to participate in this part of the routine hitting in balls that be typical of what might happen in a match. Long’s Pre Match kicks into the wind were poor too, so he should have had an idea the ball from the free kick would hang in the wind.
  19. MacIver was injured last week, and was running out of steam after about an hour. He had a half chance with space in the box if he’d turned sharp and shot he might have scored but elected to lay the ball off. As the game wore on whilst defending a corner almost sliced one in his own goal, combination of tiredness and pitch, then didn’t have the legs to get out and play the Bonnyrigg goal scorer offside from the winning corner. I would have brought Agyeman on up front used him as a bettering ram. The unpredictable bounce of the ball would have made him feel at home with his close control
  20. Couldn’t make yesterday, however now having see the highlights and heard a bit more about the match, obviously wasn’t good to hand 2 points of the gap away to Hamilton, but the damage got partly rectified, and the second half returned to what should have been happening from the start. Allan where he may be hacked off with little game time has been rank rotten in these few reserve games they’ve had Alfie hasn’t a clue what he’s going to do with the ball at his feet, becoming really fed up with him. McGinn is done Mackie has been out the picture so long he needs to realise we play at a completely different tempo to when he last played regularly Hamilton will drop points too in the coming weeks but ultimately it will come down to the head to head between the teams. It’s a bit like us and Dunfermline last season, with us thinking we could do the catch up until finally getting finished off in the March fixture. We could do the same with Hamilton in February
  21. Too many changes just for the sake of if. That could have waited until next week. Edinburgh weren’t that bad in the game back in December to think we’d walk this.
  22. We were one point behind Hearts and Partick should never have been relegated. Raith should never have been awarded the title. For season 20/21 The Premiership should have become 13 teams Championship should have become 14 teams with Raith Falkirk Airdrie Montrose and East Fife joining those that remained from Championship season 19/21 Division 1 should have become the remaining 15 teams. No team should have ended up in a worse position than they may have been had the leagues continued. They could then have concocted a system to readjust the leagues in subsequent seasons, via Play Offs or whatever.
