I thought this was one of those competitions where if points were equal at the end, the result between the two decided it ? In which case, in your scenarios Utd couldn’t qualify.

    League cup rules -

    Quote

If clubs are level on points at the end of the group stage, the criteria for separating them is 1) goal difference, 2) goals scored, 3) away goals scored, 4) matches won, 5) away matches won, 6) head-to-head record, 7) drawing of lots.

Ireland away defo wasn't zero points.

There were loads in the "unofficial" away end to the side of the goal where the main support, who would've got the points were.

It went down to 12 points which you can get without having attended a single away game (10 home points, the 1 renewal and the 1 loyalty point) which was his point.

    10.361 on 11pts+.

I know, there just isn't going to be the opportunity for enough of that 10,361 to get above the poster I was replying to if he gets to 12.

The numbers on 12 or above dropped from 6110 to 5884 after June and the only opportunity those on 11 or below will realistically get to climb the table to 12+ are France and Georgia and we all know nowhere near enough 11 and below pointers are going to either game to stop someone on 12 or above being near enough guaranteed a ticket for the Euros if we get the 16% allocations that were given to teams in recent Euros.

  4. Someone suggested last time this came up copying the England model and I've come around to it over ours.

With them 90 percent of the away allocation goes to the members with the highest point totals who apply and 10 percent go into a random ballot of everyone who expresses an interest in going. Means those at the top get sorted and everyone is still in with a chance. I think they also allocate everyone who applies for a specific away game a point even if they are unsuccessful if it's oversubscribed.

Now there's obvious issues with applying with no intention of going being abused but it's no different from people buying and selling on, just that everyone gets the same opportunity to abuse the system. Also it really moves the people who just miss out from the allocation up a point or two. They also do full pickup for the vast majority of their games to stop people buying and not going.

  5. With two of the last three away games being 100% pickup and the SSC specifically saying that it is likely tickets for Cyprus, Spain and France will need to be collected in person and by the individual members rather than the lead booker I'm not sure how much faith I'd place in it being fine for other people in the past.

MY friend lives in Italy and wants to attend the Cyprus game but he doesn't have loyalty points. Can I buy a ticket using my SSC account and give him the ticket?

I might be confusing Cyprus with another away game but I've got a vague recollection of your name being on your ticket and having to match your ID.

The official answer from the SSC is no you can't and if caught you can be expelled from the SSC.

  7. Kazakhstan was still taken into account by the time Armenia and Ireland came around and they dropped to 9 and 12 points plus San Marino, Belgium, Russia and Cyprus dropped to 0 points after Kazakhstan so there may be something that's not right but it's not the system to blame for that.

How many points do we reckon will be enough to ensure tickets through the SSC allocation for Germany next summer? Trying to get to France away which should put me on around 12, which will hopefully be enough.

I'd be surprised if enough people can make it up to 12 by the end of the year for that not to be enough for you to get sorted for Germany.

  9. I feel for those trying to build up their points. There's a real gap developing where the 1000 odd of us on 20+ points are fine for every game and everyone else is fucked. We all took our turn in the home ends when building up points but I think since they changed to home and away points it's harder to start off than it was when I joined.

  10. Email just out from the SSC saying the venue has changed from GSP Stadium in Nicosia to AEK Arena in Larnaca.

8k capacity in Larnaca compared to 22k capacity in Nicosia so it will absolutely f**k over a lot of folk heading over I think.

Cheers. Has anyone got any tips on how to get tickets for 1860 Munich? I hear it's really tough for locals never mind visitors, but they're home when I'm there so I'd love to go. Internal ticket exchange for season ticket holders who can't attend maybe?

Depending who they're playing your best bet might be to go in the away end. There's maybe only a handful in the division who will sell out their away allocation before going to a general sale and most German clubs make it fairly easy to buy online for their away games.

  12. With it being a friendly I'm not sure if France are bound by any rules about allocations but Lille normally give British teams around 2600. Any similar allocation should see anyone on 11 and probably below fine I'd like to think. 2500 tickets went down to 12pts for Ireland away last year and loads of people were going over for that.

Anecdotally I know people on various levels of points going to Cyprus or Spain but hardly anyone doing France other than those I know who go everywhere.
