I do not think it is in this thread but someone mentioned some of our " fans " throwing the plastic water bottles back at the Norwegians who were kindly giving them out

Also , at the end of the match , some of our " fans " were chanting about Haaland . Pathetic , especially after we had won

Someone threw a bottle on the pitch after Haaland scored and that was it, let's not be making up stories about people throwing bottles at people handing them out. As for any chants about Haaland I was too busy celebrating in the away end to care.

  2. VPN gets by it no bother if you're willing to pay the mental prices.

Going by where the €79 seats are and where the standard away end is I think we'll be €79 too unless the French are feeling generous and say the away end is a lower category.

I don't care about booing GSTK which is maybe a bit disrespectful but I have done it myself as I can't stand it as an anthem.

So here's a question. What about the the other 40 or 50 percent of folk who are unionists and don't mind the Royals?

Are they not welcome at Scotland games these days or do you have to be of a certain political viewpoint?

It seems like as long as you do something then it's fine but if you find something distasteful then the rest of the crowd need to stop doing it.

Can we have your definitive list of what the crowd can and can't do before the next game? Maybe start another thread about it like you've done here 3 days after the game when the same subject had already been done to death in the match thread.

Maybe worth point out that at the bottom of the Spain ticket email, there’s a form asking about numbers attending the Georgia. Hadn’t noticed it myself until now.

    Completely missed that, cheers.

To be honest I'd have thought the minimum required allocation in Georgia would be enough to cover those travelling.

  5. It's more than Cyprus gave us but opens up a point higher since so many jumped up in that 9-14pt bracket. Cyprus dropped down to 9, don't see this getting there as everyone seems to be booked up.

Probably an empty threat but at least they are starting to put stuff like this in the emails again.

Tickets purchased are strictly for personal use, or for the personal use of the supporter whose membership a ticket has been assigned to. Anybody found to be purchasing tickets either to build up their booking history with no intention of travelling or to pass on to another will have their membership reviewed which may result in previous booking history being cancelled and deleted from their account. Supporters found to be doing this may also receive a temporary ban from purchasing away match tickets.

  6. You couldn't transfer tickets bought through the SSC on the app last time round but could for tickets bought through UEFA. I'm sure there was probably a way around it but it didn't seem obvious to me at the time.

16% is a joke, 25% would be reasonable, anything unsold can be given back.

Stadiums capacities based off the Euros wikipedia page. I've seen different capacities elsewhere aswell.

    Berlin 74461 16% allocation = 11913

    Munich 70076. 16% allocation = 11212

    Dortmund 65829 16% allocation = 10532

Stuttgart 54906 (what hampden could be) 16% allocation = 8784

    Gelsenkirchen 54740  16% allocation = 8758

    Hamburg 52245 16% allocation = 8359

    Frankfurt 54697 16% allocation = 8751

    Dusseldorf 51031 16% allocation = 8164

    Cologne 49827 16% allocation = 7972

    Leipzig 42959 16% allocation = 6873

so as it stands 13 points to guarantee every game. 12 guarantees all but leipzig. 11/10/9 you then would need to get lucky.

Anyone on less than 9 probably has no chance through SSC. They would just need to hope that some folk won't manage all 3 games or allocations increase.

I read somewhere the allocations may be higher for the FAs this time but I wouldn't pin any hopes on UEFA doing anything for the fans. There's been some jump in numbers in the 8-12 point bracket if you consider for the England game in the euros we got 2655 and it dropped down to 12 points and now we've got over 7k with 12 or more points.

I think you're right and you might find not everyone can do all 3 games so it could drop a bit. You may also find some folk get tickets in UEFA ballots so don't buy their SSC ticket, I got Croatia at Hampden through UEFA so didn't need my SSC ticket even though I had enough points so in 50k seater stadia rather than COVID restricted crowds that same scenario should happen a fair bit.

Relatively new to all this but I'm on 10 points which seems to put me in top 17,000 or so cumulative points and I'd have hoped that would be enough for a ticket through SSC for a game at the Euros? Stadiums mostly 50k capacity, will the teams really only be getting 10-15k each?

Going to Germany but unlikely to make any other away games unfortunately.

If UEFA do the same as recent tournaments it's around 16% to the FA of each team so a 50k stadium would be around 8k allocation

  10. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scotland/supporters-tickets/scotland-supporters-club-membership/ssc-loyalty-points/

SSC points updated after Cyprus and England. Not much movement really for anyone 20+ points but that's an extra 1248 people now on 12 or more points between June and September and 3208 on 10 or more with 3 more away games to go before Germany so previous estimates about how many points will be needed might end up quite a bit off.

  11. @welshbairn you might be the best man to know but has it been mentioned anywhere about them limiting the tickets you can have on the same day like they did for euro 2020? I'm hoping not as there's a realistic chance you could make 2 games in the 1 day in Germany which obviously wasn't the case when it was spread over Europe.

I'm up for applying for tickets in October to random games but not if it causes hassle if it then clashes with a Scotland game on the same day and they don't let me get rid of them before I can buy Scotland tickets through the SSC.

Booked up for Cologne Friday 14th- Wednesday 19th. Direct flights from Scotland were looking pricey but we managed to get Stansted-Cologne for £99 return with Ryanair and good flight times.  None of the budget airlines have released their timetables for Edinburgh/Glasgow-Stansted that far yet but would imagine we'll be under £200 in total. Worth a look as most direct flights are now over £300.

Also hoping Scotland avoid that opening night fixture. We'll be out long enough to catch one Scotland match and will be aiming to be in that city on the day but Munich on the Friday would be a stretch.

Easyjet launch their summer schedule this week btw. Think it's Thursday but might be wrong.

So for the WC is being in the top nations league draw a good thing from a playoff point of view?

I'd hope we could get closer to POT 1 but catching Sweden and outperforming Austria, Serbia, Poland and Ukraine at the same time may be a lot to hope for.

I'd say the opposite, it's a bad thing for teams that are near the top of League B/bottom of League A. For WC qualifying years you're arguably better being in League B winning your group to have a chance at one of the extra playoff spots and then for Euro qualifying years you're better being in League A as League A teams are more of less guaranteed a playoff spot for the Euros and since UEFA uses the Nations League standings for seedings for the qualifying draw it means you're guaranteed to be at least pot 2.

I'm sure Steve Clarke doesn't see it that way, he'd rather just aim to be in League A regardless of what qualifying campaign it is and then stay there.

  14. Unless it changes which seems unlikely it'll be FIFA world rankings that determine the pots for the WC qualifying draw. 12 groups of 4 or 5 means the top 12 will be top seeds, Scotland are currently ranked 16th in Europe but aren't massively far off Sweden in 12th place so some decent results in the remaining qualifiers, friendlies the euros and next year's Nations League could see us nick a 1st seed. For context we're 27 ranking points off of Sweden and gained 19pts at the update after the June fixtures. If we qualify for the euros automatically then the SFA should be thinking very carefully about who they play in friendlies next March when the playoffs are on. You'd be looking at pots like this if the draw was right now (Russia removed but they'd be pot 2 if included)

    image.png.34f0ae7a072df31a85249852a76c64dc.png

and yes for the WC qualifying only winning Nations League groups matter so in theory a League C or D winner could end up in the playoffs ahead of league A or B teams who are much better but didn't win their groups.
