Why don't you go and have a look at that thread and see me admit numerous times my opinion was incorrect.

Then let's see if you can do the same?

My opinion isn't incorrect though so why would I do the same? I'm simply pointing out you are acting in the same way you complained about when others did it to you.

  2. Thought the biggest non-Scotland match in recent Scottish history deserved its own thread since a load of us will be watching. Draw is the ideal result if we want to win the group but Spain being comfortable for 90mins and not giving Norway a sniff would also be nice.

Live on Viaplay 2 for those at home.

Yeah I actually felt Serbia were quite unlucky and deserved at least a point from that, probably more. Hungary’s performance in the last Nations League shows where they are as a team, and they were possibly even a bit unfortunate at Euro 2020.

In terms of seeding, was a draw the preferred result for us last night? You’ll know better than me!

The draw there would only have really been the better result for the difference between pot 1 and pot 2 if we win the group, doesn't really matter for the difference between pot 2 and 3 if we finish 2nd.

Although looking at the potential teams in pots 2 and 3 I'm not such there's a massive benefit of finishing in pot 2 if we end up 2nd.

    Oh the irony 🙄

Considering you used to cry about 2426255 following you about this place because you had one opinion so bad the mods locked the thread to stop the embarrassment I think the irony might be lost on you that you're doing the same to Craig now.

Think that may be right, but don’t know-   feels like he just wasn’t fancied by the manager re style of play he wanted to play.

Many talk about the fall out , the way he was or was not treated- but no one has disclosed any detail - so just conjecture by many who in all honesty know  no more that the rest of us.

    Hi Anton.

I thought it looked impressive from a distance but the stands were the kind of crappy temporary structures you tend to get in some of the worst Scottish stadiums.

It being in the arse end of nowhere and seemingly with 1 proper way out of the stadium footprint which was narrowed by fences down to the tunnel under the motorway didn't help either. I've seen Scotland in some shite holes and that was one of the worst.

I once got the nightbus from Glasgow to London, then London to Paris. It was the absolute fucking worst journey of my life.

I'm on the train from London to Glasgow thankfully, I thought I'd be able to sleep through the night on the bus not thinking about having to get off on the ferry and also going through border control.

Fucking hell. Can we stop debating the offside? It's obvious he gave a foul and fucked up.

I'm more concerned about Robbo and also about how shite we were in possession. It doesn't look like he'll be back for the next games as by the looks of it he's either dislocated his shoulder or broken his collar bone.

Doesn't make sense that they'd do this in a fast paced environment where they have to switch between languages frequently.

Anyway, I don't know why I'm getting drawn into this, but speculation and supposition presented as fact tends to rip my knitting.

It's obvious when you speculate but not when others do.

  9. No idea how seriously the French are taking this but if there's a chance Mbappe starts I'd be starting Hickey on the right and bringing Taylor in.

After playing Craig Gordon for 90mins in Turkey last year with 2 goalies with 0 caps on the bench I don't see much chance of Clarke making a huge number of changes.

Yes they did. He booked the keeper for dissent. I assume that stands regardless of the subsequent overturn? Dissent is still dissent I guess.

You're right it still stands. Fairly sure there was an instance similar recently where a player got a 2nd yellow for dissent for an overturned decision and he was still sent off

Booked flights Glasgow > Frankfurt Sunday morning, returning Thursday night. £300. Taking my chances I’ll get a single bed in a hostel once the fixtures are set and I should get a train anywhere from Frankfurt (?).

Will be keeping an eye on this thread for any tips.

What’s the worst that can happen?!

The worst that could happen is Scotland are drawn in group B play on the Saturday in Berlin and the Thursday in Gelsenkirchen and you see none of them.

Whilst I agree that there's alot of history to hampden the idea that edinburgh is a rugby city is only something you here from the west coast. You mention edinburgh sport to 99% of people and they think of hearts and hibs and yes there supports are comfortably behind celtic and rangers most of the OF support come from bigoted scumbags from all areas of the country,  the idea they are more likely to travel from various regions of the country to glasgow more than edinburgh is weird when your consider the national team.

And edinburgh is a bawhair from glasgow in population, the differences aren't worth considering

The difference in metropolitan area is about 700k, it's definitely worth considering.

I would imagine it’s going to work as follows:

Tottenham, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool and Newcastle get 5 matches each - 4 group matches and one R16 or SF. Manchester and Tottenham get a QF each and the other three get a R16.

Cardiff - 4 group matches (including the opener) and two R16

Belfast - 4 group matches and one R16

Hampden & Aviva - 4 groups matches, one R16 and one QF each

Wembley - 2 SFs and Final.

Wales/Scotland/NI/ROI will be predrawn if they qualify into a group where they can play all their matches at home. England will be predrawn if they qualify into a group with one match in London, one in Newcastle and one in Manchester/Liverpool.

Cardiff, Dublin and Glasgow each get a QF according to the Times article.

  14. That's Lamine Yamal out injured too so don't need to worry about getting ripped apart by a 16 year old.

Fair few missing for Spain now. Yamal, Gaya, Pedri, Yeremy Pino, Dani Olmo and Marco Asensio all missing through injury.

  15. For those shiting it about this international window you can get around 6/1 on the results required for us not to qualify by next Sunday night.

If it comes in it pays my flights to Georgia next month and if it doesn't I'll be too delighted to care about the lost money.
