Been discussing it here where the fan zone might be, got a number of venues they could use.

Hopefully they'll use one of the parks, would be tremendous in summer and would keep the main squares free for any pub dwellers.

Devastated England will be in Koln though, with all the bampots likely smashing the place up with the Serbians.

    🎉 Fan Zone Heumarkt

At the heart of the EURO 2024 Festival in Cologne will be the Fan Zone Heumarkt. Bring your friends, family and colleagues to join thousands of other fans for the ultimate EURO experience. Open on all 31 days of the tournament, the Fan Zone will be the perfect place to drop in and enjoy the “kölsche” atmosphere while watching all EURO 2024 matches on screens or showing off your skills in one of the various football-related activities on-site.

    📺 Public Viewing Tanzbrunnen

The official Public Viewing is in an iconic Cologne setting. Enjoy the beautiful view over the Rhine river with the World Heritage site Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom) as a backdrop while watching the biggest matches of the tournament live on giant screens. Expect live music, a stage programme and an eclectic atmosphere to rival any stadium.

When do we think train tickets will be available to book?

If you go on bahn.de and put in for the day you're wanting to book it tells you when it will be on sale, most dates in June go on sale this month

If you're going to have tickets for matches there's going to be deals for the ICE trains so it depends as well so you could wait on the full details of how that works.

Hmm just noticed the locals of München, Stuttgart and Köln are gonna see first hand the difference between Englands Glory and the Tartan Army,

    Hope the coppers are aware!!

England are C4 so they aren't in Munich or Stuttgart.

Dates and locations of their games are ideal for avoiding them too unless you've booked to stay near Gelsenkirchen, Frankfurt or Köln.

  4. I found a load of places on the usual booking sites were a fair bit cheaper when going direct. Managed to get a Motel One in Munich for the Thursday and Friday a lot cheaper than I was being quoted just after the draw.  Land in Berlin Thursday afternoon so just going to jump on the train straight to Munich instead of waiting until the Friday and losing part of the day of the game.

Stuttgart the night of the Hungary game seems fairly reasonable too for hotels outside the city centre. Seems easy enough to get to the centre on the S-Bahn from a load of them too.

  5. They add loyalty points after the game has taken place so not sure how they can claim they can't fix them afterwards. Other than a few sad cases like me I doubt people are constantly checking their points after every international break.

I've mentioned before mine was wrong a while back and they sorted it but that was either the renewal or loyalty point so different circumstances.

  6. Weird that it's top pointers "always moaning" when we've had months of tears and snotters from those on low points to the point of us having to pay to pick up our own tickets in Lille and Tbilisi.

So, any of our online ticketing platform gurus want to offer some advice here? I've read through the guidance the SFA have issued tonight and, notwithstanding it seems a very long shot that I'd get tickets, I'm not 100% clear here on slightly contradictory advice.

"You must have a unique email address to set up an account on the UEFA ticket portal.

If you share an address with a child with no email address then update both your UEFA and SSC account with a unique email address"

"U18 are not able to register on the UEFA Ticketing portal. The unique access code for the u18 member can be used by an over 18 family member to purchase on the adult account..............."

The first part suggests we need to set up a UEFA account for a child. The second part says you can't but will be able to use their link on your own account. My son has a separate SSC account with a unique email (another of mine). I didn't set up a UEFA account for him though as it said I couldn't. Is the first piece of advice here nonsense? They only need a unique SSC email?

My understanding of it is their advice is an absolute mess but you just need a unique email address for the SSC for any u18s so they get the email through from the SSC with the access codes. The adult can then use the access codes for the u18 on the adult's own UEFA account alongside their own access codes to buy tickets for the adult and the child.

  8. Thought they might give those with more points the opportunity to pick their category first like other countries such as Belgium are doing.

The map does make category 2 look worse than category 3 for most part.

  9. Seen a couple of things this morning saying the German FA have corrected what they said about allocations and are now saying they will get 10k for their supporters club members and the Slovakian FA have said the same.

That Leipzig last 16 game I'm going to try and get to if it's the early evening game, I'm back to Scotland the following day from Berlin unless Scotland make the quarter finals in which case I'll patch the flight and phone my work to beg for an extra few days off.
