  1. Even if Conway is in Clarke's thoughts for the Euros it makes sense for him to be in the u21s for their competitive game next Thursday at the very least. They're missing Doak and have made a good start to the group which they hopefully won't throw away at home to Kazakhstan and if Conway is in with a chance then he can still join up with the main squad when they are back from Amsterdam.

Possibly been covered already in the thread ..... I had a quick look and reckon at this stage no tickets have been made available for the top tier of the South stand for any of these five games?? Am I right in thinking that?

Bit strapped for cash just now so not looking buy tickets right now, but hoping they'll release South stand top tickets nearer the time (as they did for Norway game).

Northern Ireland game has the upper tier on sale now and Portugal game did have on Thursday but now appears they've been sold.

Thought I was smart booking a flight to Amsterdam but now struggling to find a train to Bonn on 17th June.

Anyone got any advice of alternative ways of getting to Bonn from Amsterdam? Tried via Utrecht but can get to Utrecht but Utrecht to Bonn is sold out.

Just to add flight doesn't get to Amsterdam till 1725

Some Amsterdam to Cologne trains aren't available to book yet. Here's DB a few months back replying to someone asking similar about Amsterdam and Brussels trains and further down the thread they suggest it might not go on sale until 3 months before so I'd suggest trying again later in the month and seeing if you get any joy.

Yeah, see that. I can buy now to be fair but it will only let me buy one. My son's not eligible till 11am. I assume it will revert to allowing 2 at that point?

It should do but there's been enough problems with the new system I wouldn't say anything with any confidence.

  5. Don't think there's any way of telling how many are left on the new system unless the SSC tweet it out again but it's still on sale over an hour after it dropped to 10 points which suggests it's going down to 9 at least.

  6. I'm not going any further to see if it blocks it but it's letting me tick the box to resell my SSC tickets despite the fact they are meant to be non-transferable.

Could anyone who's used Flix trains in Germany tell me about any downsides to them? They can be a lot cheaper.

I've used them a few times in Germany, it's no frills and usually mobbed because it's cheap but I had no real complaints. Maybe slightly less comfortable if travelling long distance than DB standard class and one of the trains I got in the summer had no air con but the windows opened so wasn't a big deal.

The major downside to them is on most lines they won't run more than a train or two a day so if they cancel you're either not getting to your destination that day or at best you might get a spot on one of their buses unlike DB where a cancelled train opens up the possibility of any route to get where you need to be. I wouldn't rely on it if I needed to be somewhere that day but I've always just been travelling about and been fairly flexible so it wouldn't have been the end of the world if it was cancelled.

  8. Gibraltar will be a case of us getting as many tickets as we want, there's a real lack of cheap flights for an in and out job and it's weeks before the Euros. I reckon both will go to 0 points but Gibrlatar is an absolute cert.

The problem is you've got to take Bannigan over the piece. If we're selectively picking out only part of someone's tenure Osman or Barton would be in the team of the quarter century and Keown would have a decent shout.

Bannigan pre-injury is so far ahead of Docherty he'd need to have spent the last few seasons actively scoring own goals against us in order to bring him down to a level where this is even a debate.

  10. The exact same thing happened to me last summer in Germany @Billy Jean King and I couldn't figure it out but I got both trains on my booking just fine. Assumed it's an automated thing that happens if either train changes at all even if it's something that doesn't impact your part of the journey.

  11. It's not something he's done in a while but there's been a couple of windows where one of the two hasn't been available. He started both against Ukraine in the playoff, away to Austria, at home to Israel and 2 of the 3 games at the last Euros so it's clearly something that's in Clarke's thoughts when it comes to a certain type of big game.

Slight tangent, but why are Lithuania and Gibraltar not clear which league they're in?

There's 4 groups in League C but only 2 in League D so originally the 4 teams that finished bottom of their groups in League C should have had play-offs with the 2 losers getting relegated and replaced by the 2 League D group winners.

Due to Russia being in League B when the 22/23 draw was made but now being punted out they only needed 1 team to be relegated from League C to ensure both Leagues B and C had 16 teams so the 2 worst placed teams from League C Gibraltar and Lithuania are having a play-off with the winner staying up and the loser being relegated.
