  1. Last year we played Ukraine on 1st June with the EPL, Serie A and Belgian based players playing until Sunday 22nd May, the Hearts and Rangers players being involved in the cup final on Saturday 21st May and McKenna and Robertson involved the weekend after that so the majority were involved in squads playing until 10-11 days before our first game so I can't imagine they were idle for long before joining up with the Scotland squad . The English Championship players finished up early May but I'm almost certain they went to a training camp in St Andrews to keep themselves fit until the seasons were done for the other teams. It doesn't seem like there was as much of an opportunity for a training camp for the majority of the squad last year regardless of McGinn saying they've learned from it.
  2. If the club doesn't f**k up the ticket situation in the Lambie then none of the other issues occur (if they all happened as the club claim) yet the majority of the statement is aimed at blaming the fans. On this part of the statement we're talking about a fraction of the group of children who have started to gather this season over at the JHS side of the Lambie stand with their flags and on occasion a drum, they are primary school age at most. It's hardly a group of grown men forcing their way into the stand. Strange the club decided to leave that context out of it. There's still a lot of work to be done once the club becomes properly fan owned, hopefully starting with Gerry Britton being chased.
  3. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/review-of-supporter-migration-issues-complete/ Guess we didn't get rid of whoever wrote Jacqui Low's statements.
  4. Rough's budgeting for 2nd claims also included him saying they were anticipating bigger crowds for the run in if we were challenging for the title. I don't think those materialised so I suspect we're not close to breaking even this year. I noticed another of the former directors from Low's board, John Penman, is now on twitter telling anyone who will listen his thoughts on what's wrong with Scottish football without a hint of a brass neck.
  5. The foundation have sent out a survey about the B teams and Conference League in case any members have missed it in their inbox. Worth the 2mins it takes to let them know how awful it is.
  6. Starts for Newcastle tonight. Still no real idea if he's any interest in playing for Scotland but worth a watch until he says otherwise.
  7. Really compelling stuff from Maxwell. Even at 91 seconds long it feels like he's waffling for most of it.
  8. If you book and pay £156 per person for the Georgia game. It's their new hospitality section, the Terrace.
  9. It had been mentioned the Tbilisi stadium was having work done to it, the final of the upcoming u21 Euros is being held in the new stadium in Batumi and they've played the last couple of games in Batumi including the Norway game so while it's no guarantee it's just reassuring they haven't bombed out Tbilisi completely. The big game v Spain plus their record there v us should hopefully convince them to stay in Tbilisi purely for my selfish reasons of not having to pay to change a flight home.
  10. If you can get anywhere in Cyprus there's a guy Davy who is organising buses from everywhere to Nicosia for the game, he done the same for the last time we played there. Post is taken from this facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TartanArmyGroup I've got Norway, Spain, France and Georgia away all booked so might give this one a miss.
  11. Cyprus away game confirmed as being in Nicosia by UEFA. https://www.uefa.com/european-qualifiers/match/2036383--cyprus-vs-scotland/ Almost 23k capacity so best of all the possible stadium options for tickets. Georgia v Spain confirmed as being in Tbilisi which is welcome for those of us who have booked flights back from Tbilisi where it would be impossible to get back from Batumi in time to make them for our game there in November.
  12. Alan Nixon the Sun journalist reporting Forest Green are interested in Jack Thomson.
  13. Norway tickets arrived today for those waiting on them.
  14. He pulls out the u21s to go on holiday, potentially isn't arsed and might opt for England.
  15. McTominay should at least benefit from being in training until FA Cup final day on 3rd June, 2 weeks before the Norway game. I have nothing to back it up other than a throwaway comment from the commentator in one of the Norway games in March but apparently they're good from set pieces so I'd like him in the team for some extra height if anything.
  16. I didn't think we'd get anywhere near selling out the stand so hadn't bothered getting my tickets yet so the tweet has worked since I've panic bought them in the last 5minutes.
  17. I seem to be in the minority going by the reaction on social media but I'd rather Graham had said nothing tbh.
  18. I thought he was good, started out wide left in the first half but getting forward to support Wilson then they changed it in the 2nd half and it looked more like he was staying up front. He was the only player in the Scotland side who could match the physicality of the French defenders. Had a good chance in the 1st half from a header at the front post, was unlucky with a run through the middle where he just lost out battling with both French centre halfs and then in the 2nd half he cut the ball across for Wilson to tap it in.
  19. Cracking battle between Oné and the French defence.
  20. That's an old photo. We've knocked down the offices and put in extra seating to cash in on the black and white pound.
  21. Lennon was at the game on Friday with the Thistle chairman, not anyone from Queen's Park. I'm not sure the model Queen's Park are wanting to eventually implement includes a 'pin players up against the wall' type manager.
