I think too many people are reading between the lines. Until a chairman comes out and says they'll be voting no, then no-one knows. I reckon they're coming out making the right noises to appease the fans so that their inboxes can get a bit of a break. When it comes to the crunch I'll bet it comes down to a secret ballot with sevco conveniently getting admitted to the SPL by 1 vote.

Bollocks. I hate to say it but I think utd and any other clubs fans who are witholding their purchase of ST's to make a stance are to be applauded. You're making it out as if fans are contradicting themselves by beating the drum about 'sporting integrity' and then witholding money?! You are twisting it to suit your agenda. They're not refraining from buying ST's to withold money, it's to send a message that they won't be back if their clubs vote newco in. How else do you suggest fans get chairmen to get the message?

I never saw rangers show too much concern about what state they'd leave the Scottish game in with their numerous attempts to leave the SPL to go to EPL/Atlantic League/lower English leagues and now in their current guise theyre trying to tell us it would kill the game. On the contrary, I think the game would/will prosper. After romping the league for a couple of years Selik will have to adjust their budget due to a loss of fans bored of the monotony and lack of TV money. The gap narrows, every team begins the season with something to play for, fans start to get interested again and crowds go back up(apart from selik...shame), jobs a good 'un.

The team formerly known as rangers have been trying to get out of Scottish football for years and do you think they would have given a flying monkeys what state they would have left the game here in? Whether it was the Atlantic league, EPL or lower English leagues, them along with selik have been doing their utmost to escape the SPL with scant regard for what the consequences would be for the provincial/diddy clubs. Well they have got what they wished for and look at them now...on their knees pleading to be let back in to play with their old pals. f**k them. All the hysteria about how Scottish football will go breasts aloft is a lot of pish IMHO. Imagine sevco are told to get tae from both SPL and SFL, they cease to exist. Clubs have to 'cut their cloths accordingly'. It might be a heavy hit to take for a few seasons til contracts are seen out and shit but so be it. Selik will romp the league for a few years til their crowds start to dwindle with the monotony and the Sky money will be gone. Clubs will need to survive on ST and gate money, sponsorship deals and a nominal fee from council telly for a highlights package. Selik will no longer be able to attract players of the calibre they have just now due to their inability to pay the same sort of stupid wages as just now. The gap will close between them and the rest, therefore the other teams will be able to start the season with something to play for for the first time in about 30 years. Punters will start coming back to the 'wee' clubs cos the seasons not a forgone conclusion and Scottish football is cured. That is exactly the way it will pan out if the right decision is reached on 4th of July. Anyone who disagrees is wrong.

How is all this shit supposed to be sorted in a matter of weeks before the season begins? Its all far too complex to deal with in that period of time. They should be suspended pending all investigations into them. But then does the newco argue that that was the oldco and as they are now a separate entity should be allowed to start afresh. If that's the case then the best they can hope for is to start in the 3rd. Personally I would have them down in the juniors.
