  1. I dont think anyone had us challenging or being too close to top spot, like many I reckon we thought play offs is the object but Ive never thot that it was a giver. You look at our squad in August......you look and think we have the best keeper, the rest are kids and Loy. Millar coming in has shown we really needed someone else in there but we still have our youthful moments and that will continue, when we are on top of our game, we are good....a few teams have seen that and have praised that......when we are bad, we are really bad..... I think last weeks Dumbarton Jekyll and Hyde performance typified that.....Dumbarton fans even commented on how we looked good 1st half and a shambles 2nd.... I still worry for us with goals at the moment, Its annoying tho that in Roberts we have someone who can do it....but is a mindfuk
  2. I half agree with Holt...but its the TFS not Brockville and to an extent at the lifeless new football stadia, it takes whats on the pitch to get fans going..... I was kinda proud last week watching 18yr olds and 19yr olds perform to a high ability together with some fantastic pass and move moments between Sibbald, McGrandles, Kingsley,....then came the 2nd half...perhaps the downside of having so many youngsters and also a small squad. In reality we have a decent 10,11 or 12 form depending with some and we have nothing to really change it from the bench, Im sure its only Ayr in B&Q cup where we have made a sub that has changed the game to our favour. Are we punching above our weight with that or are we just about right, its hard to say as others are in a similar boat but perhaps not so many young uns. I like Holts honesty, he doesnt bullshit us like Elvis had done for x years but his opinion at times like other managers I liked, I will never agree with, thats how it is but I think he is doing a decentish job in a position considering his playing cards.....just would like him to grow a backbone and drop Duffie.....
  3. There is a lot of bollox in the league now tho...... We are good on our day, we were good yesterday for 45mins, 2nd 45mins were were poor, suppose it tends to be the thing with younger players not showing real consistency.... Its Dundee's to lose now, Hartley will have you more organised than the pub manager/Rangers Social manager which will see you through to top spot
  4. Main goal is always to better yourself....but I think we had a little glimmer of hope then John Brown got sacked....!!! We also wouldve had have the Roberts, Sibbalds and Duffies to have their A or even B games till end of season and obviously others on their games too within a small squad which in reality isnt strong enough. The SPL tho has no real clamber for me to get there tho, the product is poor and we would be aiming for probably 10th or 11th with our squad and if you think crowds are dipping now, try a season of getting pumped in the SPL especially after Christmas. Dont get me wrong, Id take winning something anyday of the week....but I think Id have regret afterwards.........
  5. I said at the time, Id have liked to have a midfielder in to replace the outgoing Fulton. Take yesterday, no Alston and we dont have cover I reckon tho Holt wouldve had a hard job getting players in due to budgets and who is available to us on that budget and that he obviously doesnt have serious tie links with Norwich or Aston Villa...... We have to perhaps be honest and see that we have some really gifted kids and they havent and wont be consistent over the season. Kingsley leading the way at high standard throughout, Vaulks and McGrandles have had off days next in, but the Roberts, Alston, Sibbald and Duffies are more down in form over the period than up. Yes we all want to win and aim as high as possible, but for the first time probably ever, it maybe more beneficial for us to stay in the championship. If the Pars do make it, crowds will be well up and the competition levels will be decent unlike the stale SPL. Im not sitting here singing the we'll support you evermore aka losers song, its just that I would dread being in the SPL again at the moment in that its dire and we would struggle without serious investment. Get the Pars up, give us Ross County, get rid of Hamilton and we will have some real tasty league here next season.....
  6. The case is won,FIFA verdict we were due £215k... its the xs an ys to be crossed on the amount due that's the issue Bradford have.
  7. Repeat what I said back pre the 215k amount from FIFA........we wouldve took 50k back at the very start
  8. 500,000 less than Bangura........ The never ending Mark Stewart case seems to have an end..... http://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/blog/verdict-on-the-mark-stewart-case/#more-1885
  9. Im sure its more heavily related to wages, Murdoch mustve been on lesser wage for period of time as he did spend six year with us. Im chuffed with 100k for Fulton and add ons, that we probably wont see. We have improved recently with him out of the team and he has had a mixed bag level of performances this season. HIs body language kinda showed he didnt want to be here too for me. Good luck to him and like all FFC players that move down south, I will keenly look out for them but I dont think he is good enough at that level personally...go on prove me wrong tho Fulton..... I wouldve liked to have a replacement in for him tho, we have a powerful 4 of Millar, McGrandles, Alston and Sibbald, but take two of them out and we dont have decent cover for me. Overall chuffed with the business
  10. I see Mark Stewart has been released, I dunno how fit he is as over the period since he left us, he has been injured mainly at Bradford, Dundee and even Killie...but a pay as you play deal would be decent enough option if possible, tho that may effect our compo if he were to come in and fail badly I suppose, tho Im probably like many that think we will probably get a packet of haribos and a tenner for him..... Tis also never really good idea to go back to where you had a decent spell, tho Crunchie breaks that spell for us on numerous occasions...... I will be surprised if he is not on Dundees radar.....injury prone striker, fits the bill for John Brown
  11. 200k ???? I was told from a very reliable source last season that we would only be able to get 30k for Murdoch moving on last year with the training compo scenario. I dunno exactly how the compo works (I dont think anyone does....Mark Stewart !!!! ), but surely Murdoch has similar training compo as Fulton The 100k quoted in the Sun seems more realistic to me, using the similar bar that Hearts got 150k for one of there youngsters as Im sure the major part of working out training compo is wages earned, which is perhaps why we have a 215k claim for Stewart, who wouldve had been on an SPL contract which was managed by Im sure Kevin Drinkell. Id like to see at least one more in today, with Fulton leaving, as much as I think its a good deal on both fronts money wise and that we can do without him, id still like similar replacement in as we all know we dont have a ready made replacement for him apart from really untried young uns.... transfer rumour on bbc sport Former Dunfermline & Morton forward Davie Graham seen going into Falkirk Stadium earlier today-
  12. local Carlisle rag http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/carlisle-united/latest/carlisle-utd-s-mark-beck-set-for-loan-switch-to-falkirk-1.1113376
  13. Id bite your hand off for 100k........reports were laughable that we would get 300k due to the development of Fulton. I just cant see Fulton, if he moves to England, being there long, it wont be long before his tail is back to a mid table SPL to bottom SPL side on loan or transfer back, He isnt as good as Higgy,Flynn or Arfield and only one of them has done well at a decent level and Flynn has done similar to what he did with us with not being consistent with good form over the period. Id be as far as saying Fulton has went backwards this year and its hard to pinpoint where is his best position. Id had thot last season, Id like to see him in the sitting role only if he can cut out being wayward with the ball and be more disciplined, whereas this season, Im scratching me head where Id like to see him play tho reserve football down south with 200k in our bank seems my desired feeling. Its not that I dont like him, just dont rate him as highly as some of our management and fans do.....also wearing gloves this season......c'mon, its not been that cold....
  14. I said in last match thread, Duffie needs to get away for his own good as a player, he has become stale I hope thats the case....for his sake..... I dont think any championships teams would take a punt on him as per his form this season....an I mean Scottish. The compo thing is a good thing to protect similar clubs in the uk, the main loophole is going out of the country, cant remember the Dundee Utd player who went to Poland. I do recall Martyn Cardigan going to Iceland, only to return 6 months later to Motherwell. I can see Fulton signing on again, no one in their right mind would pay the money banded about for his services.....
  15. Id imagine, if anything was to happen with Vaulks and Blackburn, it wud be end of season....unless he sticks out like a sore thumb during trial... As for Alston, tis clear Holt doesn't fancy him and we have to offer him a contract for us to receive money for him if he left
  16. Looks like Boyzone 2014.....tho one of them has ate Stephen Gatley........
  17. I think you will find QOS or Partick fans will disappear when or if you head towards seaside leagues.... The point and laugh appeal will be lost I nutemegged Dougie more than once and twice in an airport 5 aside competition, probably 2yr after he finished playing with Falkirk..... Cult player whilst with us......Im sure the word is cult
  18. How far does your run in go back.... Are we in the run in now ?
  19. One win in his last 8 home games at Killie....... continues that at Morton and I can see the buckets and spades being looked out..... Club Chaplain ?
  20. Got papped by St Johnstone and beat 5-1 by Cowdenbeath puts that into perspective..... Whats the latest re new manager.....tis all been very quiet
  21. Ive been told that a certain player had words with Holt regarding Roberts not being a team player and Holt said , leave it with me.....not exactly good for the team or looks good on Holts part I do recall, McCracken clearing up his fannying about on Saturday there and he didnt even look the ground he was on after it... End of the day, its a team game, Plenty of teams have had players who dont get on, but the better teams are the ones that cross that line of the park and all muck in for each other.... Worst part is we have him signed up for 2yr........ Does she have big tits ?
  22. Shepherd did more in 10 mins than Roberts did in 60mins..... First and foremost, effort should be there, abillity to show less effort requires greater talent than he has, thats the main problem... Loy has talent, but what he lacks in high level talent, he makes up for an effort. I have said previously Roberts needs to take a leaf out of Loy's book. Roberts was a man down, especially as he was fed through a few times in 1st half when we were playing well and either simply lost it or was just pish He was unlucky to be booked, but nearly talked himself into a sending off and the shoulder stance and huff mode appeared... We will have him for at least the year, probably the two, he hopefully will come decent or average during this period but so far he hasnt really showed anything since Livvy away, I feel if we had still had Taylor yesterday, our name would be in the hat for tomorrows draw
  23. Had the joy of watching I think a rangers fan try to buy tickets at the club today....was funny and sad his story....
