  1. 25 pts etc and relegation to the third is about best we can do, perhaps a points deduction for a 3 yr period thereafter perhaps stronger measurement is the only thing I'd perhaps add as the rainfall with Killie and Hearts may join the book of Rangers and Dunf..... We dont have a viable pyramid system to throw clubs out and probably never will, some juniors and highland league clubs have bigger crowds than our bottom two leagues and dont want to join the league That will be Man Utd then....... Scottish fitba is fuked with the deluded that believed the SPL dream......... Every Scottish club probably has been owned by a crook or two, its just a case of how stupid they are with the club the problem and if you were doing a stupid test for owning a Scottish club.....They'd be 42 in the queue.......
  2. It was always a case of when and not if that this was going to go bang...... Masterton's comedy interviews recently kinda shows how Dunfermline were being run..... Dunfermline tho are one of the many way back in the new SPL who overspent like money was water with no way to balance it at the time and obviously now an impossible task to break even come end of a yearly tax year....... Killie, Hearts, Dundee Utd and maybe Aberdeen have that ticking bomb and I will be surprised if one or more of that group will go down same route in my time There is no treasure chest/golden pot anymore, gone are the years that a 1st Division team go up to the SPL and rake in the cash as Dunfermline wouldve found recently, Im sure they had to shut a stand....... The bomb seems to be now ticking, you wont be the last club in this scenario but I suppose its the dark area to what will happen when it all explodes Do you have a ground ? Do you have a place in Scottish football ? All the best in the future, I obviously dont want to lose the Pars, so hopefully they can resurrect in div 3 and will come back stronger which is a bit of a pisser.....heyho all the best
  3. A quick skip over to Aberdeen v Ross County whilst Barca Madrid game half time....the park is as much of a mess as ours.... Thats SPL for you.....games shite too.......
  4. I would say its more his work in the final third can be hot or not..... He didnt have the beating of the fullback or midfielder on Saturday, then some weeks he skins them...again with our formation its a hard task..... The big improvement is in his defending for me, which is his first and foremost task...... Probably has been our most improved defender this season or consistent after a shaky start......I had him down as our weakness pre season and he has turned that around 100%.......
  5. 7pts outta 24 in first 8 games perhaps tells its own story..... I would say its took us until December to get our best 11 sorted, that with some blips along the way instead of continuing blips Aug - Dec.... A decent run in hopefully........
  6. Add 300/350k for arfield an 150k for Flynn it easily £1m without the Wallace add ons
  7. According to Soccerbase and wiki he never played a game for Thistle.....I'm sure he had been on the Thistle bench tho for the first team... I'm sure we swapped players to get him, cant fully recall the deal......Im still laughing at the tribunal fee.....
  8. Did he not start of at Celic ? Bradford fans taking it well...... http://www.claretandbanter.co.uk/threads/33380-City-odered-to-pay-Falkirk-%C2%A3-250-000-compensation-for-Mark-Stewart
  9. Agreed....Dont see the point on it this season, we do have 4 or 5 players who can play centre half allegedly as recent weeks have shown but this season league wise will see us finish mid table with or without Neilson......... I dont know the penalties if Bradford appeal but if they are not too damaging to the original 250 000 euros, then I am sure they will appeal, I like many here I am sure, wouldve thought we would either get 50k or feck all.....We wouldve probably took 50k too if Bradford were clever enough to deal outside Fifa ruling......
  10. Ive said so far of Haworth if you scratch deep enough there is a player there..... I wouldve liked to seen him play on Saturday as I think he couldve opened up Hamilton out wide, obviously Saturday with him not in the 16 told its own story..... Haworth will be on a decent wedge I imagine, probably more than Leahy, you dont get players up from down south on peanuts. We probably couldve got 3 or 4 players from Scotland on a Haworth and Leahy wage, journey men type of Partick (im being sarky here) or young up coming players that Dunf signed..... You cant take pre season form to judge a player tho but I personally blame the tactics and formation for the part in the Haworth downfall. Elvis could make Messi look pish....not to say Haworth is an amazing player, just that he couldve done a job me thinks......
  11. Just a pity oor clubs at deaths door with current board and manager tho...... Dribble in the ocean having the club post here.....
  12. Current form and current playing style has us having no real sell-able assets on the park other than a 30-50k to an SPL club....FACT As mentioned previously re meeting with fans, the account numbers did not add up, the best part of 600- 1M came in last season with bonus payments via Huddersfield, transfers and semi final with Celtic. You really felt they had learnt there lesson ala George Craig era of not spending money they dont have.......seems they haven't......
  13. Makes a hell of a better idea for Dunf, bigger gate, on good form, cash flow increase as against a midweek game with a free Saturday coming up.....All the pluses are on the Dunf side tho......
  14. Dunf with cash flow problems....??? Boxing day match would have a bigger crowd an I can see Falkirk games far enough away at the moment. Im hoping for some amazing attacking brain wave from Elvis or for us to unearth the new Pele from our youth team to make us unbeatable.....neither is gonna happen in the near future mores the pity
  15. Reira was an amazing player for 65 mins.....70 mins tops, strange that such a player with so much ability could not be fit for 90mins.... Love how his photo is still FFC 3 year or so on..... http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/arnau-riera/profil/spieler_7919.html Mallo first choice at Girona im guessing with him being no1..... http://www.gironafutbolclub.com/catala/equip/jugadors/1mallo.htm The sad illusion of watching Falkirk at the moment, looking back at past players..... I also noticed that the club Reira left us to go to is the club that Pedro is now at.....CD Atlético Baleares
  16. Hughes been quoted from a Burnley forum also Post from said forum also - If Pressley is the limit of our ambition, we might aswell pack up and call it a day Perhaps if it was last season just after Celtic game then perhaps may have had some hope on the rumours but stranger things have happened, I'm sure Coyle got the Burnley job when his St Johnstone team were struggling......ok I don't think they were struggling like we were but were 12pts behind the leaders in 3rd place Fingers crossed, but I very much doubt they will go with someone who has one decent season in say 3 seasons an with no real English league experience other than a poor time as a Coventry player......
  17. Technology has moved on since those days, so in today's world they probably would if they could. I do recall a streak done by a par on the plastic pitch and still remember the burn marks Both statements probably sit well with 80 odd percent of the ones who witnessed both, I have yet to speak to someone who enjoys the TFS, yes its modern....thats about it. I do like my seat in the main stand I've had since day one but I'd rather be in the terracing at Brockville, likewise with your 2nd point, Id rather be halfway along the pitch in the terracing at Dunf
  18. You will know also with the bastardize of your ground...... An at least we didnt have a plastic pitch......
  19. That was my birthday game...... I stayed to the end and watched Neil Murray's 90 min old white shorts, whereas everyone else on the park had took part in the game.... Perhaps an alarming stat is the above season at the same time now we had 11pts, we now have 7pts......
  20. Joe Cammay....... He was very good when I seen him a good few year ago.....The event is not for me but good luck with it..... Joe Boyle Keith Brown Kevin Christie John Convery Steven Craig Stuart Cringean Greig Denham Kenny Deuchar John Henry Darren Hill Myles Hogarth Mark Kerr Andy Lawrie Lee Mair Kevin McAllister Jamie McQuilken Garry McStay Lee Miller Ian Morris David Moss Neil Murray Camille Oponga Chic Pearson Steven Rennie Andy Rodgers Patrice Tano Mark Thomson Ricky Waddell Steve Watson Lee Wilkie Paul Wright It was hardly suprising we were 2nd bottom with the above to choose from after losing a good 10 or so players from season before, 9 different centre halfs that season, Crunchie injured for half that season, Greg Denholm also (dunno if thats a plus or negative but he was announced as captain at the start of the season) Deuchars injured also (see comments on Denholm) PAul Wright and Steve Watson on short contracts, Paul Wright was done tho, we had Ian Morris, Neil Murray and Lee Mair, John Henry was away in October, Davie Moss and Lee Wilkie short term loan and Mark Kerr and Lee Miller were perhaps forced in and altho they did well, there true potential was shown season after Crunchie and McQuliken would be the only players Id take to for current team
  21. Farid warming up yesterday at Prenton park.....he didnt get on at all and the Bees fans were singing to him as he warmed up after the first 15mins....A strange one as he has scored three goals whereas the starting striker yesterday has scored none....
  22. That was my big thing throughout the whole meeting..... Surely the league cup with near sell out v Rangers, sell out v Celic and decent large crowd in other semi (semi money pooled) and the tv money,Ramsden cup win sales of higgy and Wallace has us at worst 6- 800k better off and only to make a 200k profit just doesnt add up I kept saying to my mate throughout those sums dont add up, I was sure Higgy was quoted at 150k down Huddersfield way and it was kinda confirmed that it was 300k up front for Wallace at meeting, so with a decent cash cow called league cup and ramsden (50k) adds up that if we had no sale of players we wouldve lost 250k........ Surely you didnt expect an answer to that question tonite or ever and that we didnt vote for Sevco...... I did laugh when McIntyre said he didnt know how we voted....... First of all he will be in team for the Saturday....... My quick general feeling - David White seems a decent enough guy working hard but profit figures dont add up for me of 200k Gordon Profit - Decent enough ideas but decline is the feeling within FFC at moment and these ideas wont work when people have no real love with the club with recent decisions board level and most of all level of performances at the moment. If we had an evil chairman it may have been a different story with the performances as they are at the moment as most Falkirk fans unite to fight evil, but I would use pandering for the word to describe for MR. There also is that hmmmm feeling towards the Bairns trust/Falkirk thingy, They announced a Sportsman breakfast at the Park hotel the day we play fifers on Feb 16th.....32.50 a ticket....hmmmmmm, good luck with that one. There also was Sam Mcgivern film shown and It was almost as if Sam had been scripted to say what he said Elvis - as expected came across well, he wont shirk anything but as much as I sympathise with areas of him pointing out that he is working with 70% less budget than when he took over, he is still on par if not greater this season than everyone else, there is no Ross County this season who were easily budgets ahead of the pack. I didnt agree with his comments that he sent out players to attack, pressure game as he called it....ha Bringing in the Craig Levein name drop didnt help matters either when showing how we defend corners, Id said on holiday an have for a while that Elvis is a Levein clone and sets out not to lose first of all. Overall he came across well but still didnt answer the questions that were answered on how they were asked Messrs Crawford and McFarlane pipped in with backing for the manager in heart felt cries, but TBH I fell asleep 1 min in for their 5 ish mins war cry Anyway, meeting wasnt too bad but was all too predictable. I had said to my mate pre that we will all leave feeling like we have no answers and have felt like we have been banging our heads against the wall, which pretty much sums up most of these meetings, unless there is praise to be handed out
  23. I was gonna quote in previous post that I wont be surprised if Martin Richie is not there......an heyho he isnt gonna be there...... I still feel, I will be coming out of the meeting still wanting to bang my head against a brick wall
