CLYDE FC season 16/17 Thread

I stand corrected. Lack of local knowledge. I'm relying on my limited experience of going to the rugby. -

Shawfield is a dump and would be a terrible option. It was a dump when we left it and is now close to derelict. Only the main stand could be used and you get a shite view of the park because of the dog track between and numerous columns blocking the view. I'd be seriously concerned about someone's sanity if they think this is a serious option. -

May be. Would need a bit of development as its capacity is too low even for us, but location is good. -

Exactly what i was thinking as, like you, I just can't think of anywhere else. I hope not. If nothing else, you can't park anywhere near the place. Only realistic way of getting there is to use public transport or walk miles. -

Was a clear foul by Easton to be fair. Pulled the defender back. -
2016 Scottish Cup Final - Hibernian FC v Rangers

Think the SFA should replay the final cause the pitch invasion clearly cost Rangers the game. -
The irony of a Morton fan slagging off Dundee. Priceless !

I'll give you that ! Hibs deserved to win. Created much more over the 90 minutes. Great to see them finally do it. -

Can understand getting carried away and running onto the pitch, but breaking the goals, ripping up the pitch and running over to the Rangers end are all just acts of vandalism and thuggery. -

Fair play to the Rangers fans. Took them nearly 70 minutes to belt out the ****** word. Plenty of No Surrender stuff and the Sash and all that though. Wonder if anything will be made of the sectarian singing and flares. Of course not, don't be silly. -

How much do the BBC TV commentary team want Rangers to win ? Done nothing but talk about them for most of the half. Paterson really is an arse of the highest order. -
Going to Düsseldorf this coming weekend. Got tickets for the Borussia Monchengladbach v Bayer Leverkusen game on Saturday and Bochum v Ingolstadt on Sunday. Saturday game could be a belter. Teams 2 points apart, on great form and fighting for the last Champions League spot. And only €14.50 for a terracing ticket.

Scottish Cup Final 2015 - Falkirk Vs ICT

http://willievass.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/250415-Rangers-v-Falkirk/G000010y.wlwKMOM/I0000UggLfsXLfcA Flippant comment from Sevco photographer. What he doesn't realise is that away fans just don't want to go to Ibrox as away fans are made as welcome as Andreas Lubitz in a cockpit. Hope Hampden is jumping in May. I will probably be there, in Inverness end simply as a friend is a fan. I know a few others who will probably go. Be great for the people of Falkirk and Inverness (other than the glory hunter OF fans from those towns of course) -
Munchengladbach v Leverkusen on 9th May. Standing in the away end. €14.50 a ticket. Cheap as chips. Compare that to the cost of football in Britain ! Probably go to Bochum v Ingolstadt on the Sunday. Been to a good few German games. Football not always the best but atmosphere usually superb. We were trying to get Cologne v Schalke tickets for 9th May as Cologne is easily the best atmosphere we have experienced, but some of the ground has been closed off due to the poor behaviour of the Cologne fans in recent matches (they seem to have a problem element amongst them. When we were there, they were fighting with the police and amongst themselves after winning 2-0. Crazy).

Going to Leverkusen v Schalke on 25th October and then Rot Weiss Essen v SG Wattenscheid on 26th.

Going to Dusseldorf in October. Staying in the very hotel Fudge mentioned. Got tickets for Leverkusen v Schalke which should be good. If game days/ times work out, going to take in Duisburg v Dynamo Dresden as well. Will be weekend No 5 to Germany. Managed to see a good few games and while the football is often not brilliant (out with Bayern and Dortmund, German teams are distinctly ordinary), the whole match day thingy is great.

Went to Derby v Charlton yesterday. Liked Derby's stadium. Game ok, routine win for Derby. Charlton pretty woeful. Was at Burnley v Notts Forest a few weeks ago. Impressed with Burnley. Going to go back to Premiership it seems which is amazing for a club of their size and support.

Was wondering the same thing myself. Jelavic was sold by the old club. There will be no contract between Everton and the current "Rangers" so why would Everton pay the current club £300k ? I'm sure BDO will be on the phone to Everton first thing in the morning making sure they secure the £300k for the benefit of the former club's creditors.

We've ordered tickets direct from Berlin, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Bremen and Hamburg in the recent past. Cologne and Hamburg posted them with the rest picked up from ticket office. Never any issues and dead easy to order.
-
Went to Bremen v Freiburg on Saturday. Just my luck, only 0-0 of the Bundesliga so far. Brilliant day though- met some Bremen fans in a pub in town late morning and had a great laugh with them. Totally pissed when we jumped on the tram to the stadium. Went to Hamburg v Stuttgart on Sunday. 3-3 draw, much better game.

Train to Olympic Stadium station. You will get searched going into the Olympic Stadium at the outer gates/ turnstiles. You will then be asked for your ticket again when you enter the stadium proper, so make sure you don't throw away your ticket after the outer gates ! Superb stadium but a bit too big for Hertha. Generally they get 40-50,000 but more for bigger games and when they're doing we'll. I was there 4 years ago when they had a spell at the top of the league and got 62,000 versus Leverkusen,. They had a full house last year in Bundesliga 2 against Union Berlin. 78,000 for a 2nd division game. Amazing.

Going to Bremen next week. Werder Bremen v Freiburg on Saturday then train to Hamburg on Sunday for Hamburg v Stuttgart. 4th visit to Germany for the football. Always a great experience. And it's the start of Oktoberfest !!
