  1. Noticed btw that Peter Grant was wearing the German captains armband tonight. Was in Wattenscheid last year (great wee club, sadly financially fecked) and saw one or two QP scarfs amongst the home fans. Tried to educate them in the errors of their ways over a beer but to no avail.
  2. Hahaha ! Love it ! thanks for the info. That’s some commitment from Willie Haughey. Exciting times for QP fans. With that kind of backing, you should be looking at Championship football in the not too distant future. Sustainability will be the key though. That’s where we failed big time. Threw everything at getting to the SPL, and should have got there to be fair, but when we didn’t it all unraveled spectacularly and we’ve never recovered, nearly 2 decades later. Haughey’s a clever businessman though and I’d be amazed if this isn’t a consideration.
  3. Watching the QP cup game tonight. I hadn’t quite appreciated the players QP had this season apart from one or two. A lot of higher league experience and all full time I believe. A deserved win although you made hard work if it. A genuine question, does anyone know how much is being put into the club by sponsors/benefactors? And is there a medium to long term model in terms of club progression and sustainability? I’m genuinely interested, no Clyde fan animosity in the question. Way things are going, you can wave to us in passing on your way up this year.
  4. Have a look at the goals from our last game which are pretty typical of our defending this season. There is no chance that Thistle won’t score.
  5. Another Highland League team away. How many times is that in recent years ffs ? Only actually went to one, at Nairn during Jim Duffy’s days. Didn’t end well !
  6. Airdrie had the wind but doesn’t excuse most of what we’ve witnessed today, with the exception perhaps of the first which was helped by the wind.
  7. Rumsby has been horrific. Howie must come on for him.
  8. Wtf is going on here. Poor as our defending has been this season, we’ve suddenly managed to raise our incompetence to an entirely new level.
  9. The bizarre thing about this is that Airdrie haven’t played well. Just absolute gifts from us. I know it’s Xmas but c’mon. Mitchell having a stinker here btw. Nearly gave away another.
  10. All the time on the fuckin world. Schoolboy stuff
  11. This is a fuckin joke. Airdrie not having to work at all to score. Nightmare defending once again.
  12. Can’t argue with you about Jack. He’s played a few times now and I think the thing I can say about him is that I don’t even notice him. The game seems to pass him by. As for tonight, there were a few first team goals players who didn’t do themselves any favours. Don’t they see what Goodwillie offers when he comes on and think ‘I should do that’ ? I’m not talking about ability, I’m talking about determination and desire. Syvertsen tonight was shocking. Lost the ball and couldn’t be arsed. That’s how it looked to me anyway.
  13. Haha, naw you’re ok there. Something else for you to chew over though. We were a top Championship club until our financial problems emerged. More than a decade later we are still trying to recover, having had to pay our way out of the problem. That’s why we’re not quite as good as we could be. if we were liquidated, there would have been no shoehorning a new Clyde into the Scottish leagues.
  14. Yeh, but we don’t have the financial strength of Rule Britannia behind us. You should really stop singing that btw given that we’re now the basket case of the world. Even our former colonies aren’t interested. Catch up guys.,
  15. Rangers Colts very comfortable in this game. We’re struggling to get into the game.
  16. YouTube stream has gone for me. Have I done something wrong ? Doh
  17. Danny a wee bit sniffly in his post match interview. Yikes!
  18. That’s an incredibly disturbing statistic !
  19. Can’t believe that’s actually our first away league win since October 2019 at Falkirk. Hadn’t quite appreciated it was that long.
  20. Well, didn’t see that coming. Brilliant result !
  21. That’s so close. My first impression watching it live was that it was offside but it looks marginal there. Wouldn’t have changed the final outcome though.
  22. I agree that 14 points is excellent. Could well have been more considering Benfica away. Although Benfica probably could or should have won at Ibrox.
  23. Ironically that probably showed Lennon up even more. His blind trust in certain players while ignoring others might well still cost him his job. In last chance saloon he shakes it up and what happens ? The players he has overlooked put in a good performance and get 3 points. Be interesting to see his team selection next game.,
  24. Not a fan of the Auld Firm (understatement)! but got to acknowledge how well Rangers have done in the group. To be absolutely fair, it was a favourable draw considering who they could have got, but still did better than most would have predicted. Only downside is that we’ve got to suffer the double act of Rob McLean and Alex Rae for a while. Let’s not actually commentate on the game. We’ll just chat about Rangers. Bloody nauseating .
