Fair due but not much better or worst than what we have.

Shame we couldn't have dodged a few more bullet with what we have.

We've got strikers befitting our club's stature. You should be used to it by now. It's pie in the sky to think we'd secure better strikers.

Even if we did, they'd be off after a season.

If we take the arse cheeks out of the equation, and even then theirs are hardly scintillating, other than Shankland and Miovski, there are no really good out and out strikers in Scotland.

We weren't really complaining about our strikers at the start of the season as they were performing quite well. However, that's when the team were also playing well.

As a support we really do moan a lot.

It shows how much we rely on Strain. His delivery is excellent. Tanser is good but not quite the quality of Strain. The rest pretty poor.

Thought Kiltie had his poorest game in ages.

There is no point lumping crosses into the box when our strikers dont take advantage of it. They are hanging about outside the box and dont gamble on a deep cross.

Given that most of the balls either sailed about six feet over the strikers heads and straight out of play or went straight into the 'keeper's arms, they'd he hard pushed to take advantage of them. However, our striker's presence in the box does need to improve.

As I mentioned, there were a couple from McMenamin that our strikers should have done better. However, maybe the complete surprise of receiving a decent ball in worked against them................................

Whichever strikers appear in the next two games should be told to get into the box at the earliest opportunity and disrupt the defence. Both Mandron and Ayunga are capable of that.

I also thought that Mandron improved matters when he came on as he made some great lay offs. Still needs to be more physical in the box though.

Not sure I agree with the managers post match comments, yes we play balls into the box BUT the overall quality is poor. Too often we hit the first man or play it into an area the defender can clear unchallenged and we don’t win the second ball.

I don’t deny our strikers need to do more but without good quality deliveries we will struggle.

I've been going on for this for weeks. Last night was no different, although when McMenamin came on he put a couple of decent deliveries in.

Might I suggest that we spend a day at training just practising delivery of crosses and corners?

It certainly couldn't make the quality any worse.

Police Scotland called the game off at Ibrox I believe due to conditions/concerns on A9.

Rain has been fairly light for the past 90 minutes or so.

A heavy burst to pass through in the next hour or so, then it's to be light rain up to the K.O.

I think the deciding factor will be whether the police decide the roads between Kilmarnock and Paisley are safe to travel on or not.

That's the main problem for me at the moment. It's not just that we're not scoring, it's that in most games we're not even creating chances to miss. We had nothing really clear cut against Motherwell (aside from the penalty) and don't seem to have created anything until we were a couple of goals down yesterday. We seem to be starting a different striker alongside Ayunga every other week in the hope that something works (Stav presumably got a second shot because we actually scored with him in the team against County) when, for the most part, they're not the ones to blame because they've sod all to work with. Maybe it's because we have loads of forwards so it's the one area of the team where we can change things about, whereas we have hardly any options in midfield - surely the main reason O'Hara hasn't been dropped/rested/allowed to fully recover from whatever injury he had. As superb as he was last season, he has been really disappointing this year - the reverse of Main over the last few years!

We weren't particularly prolific when we were going well earlier in the season but we were keeping it tight at the back. Now we don't seem to be doing that, and because the goals have dried up (three in eight games) we're struggling for form. The Strain injury is obviously a huge part of that - but I wonder if we've hit the stage where other folk have sussed Robinson's system, which the obsessed Motherwell fans told us would happen.

The results and lack of goals suggest it is time to change things about with the system. The number of games in the next 10 days or so suggests it would be a sensible time to change around what few personnel we have to keep things fresh, and if a bigger change is coming it'll be after the break when we've had a chance to work on it in training.

That may have some bearing on the matter, but I think it's more down the significant drop in quality of too many aspects of our play.

E.g. Use the ball better when we've got it. Stop giving the ball away. Put in better quality crosses. Cut out the mistakes at the back.

I think the fact that the midfield performance has been very poor of late is the main problem. It's neither creating chances nor is it keeping the ball to take the pressure off the defence.

There also looks to be a bit of a lack of confidence with some players. There have been a lot of instances when players have been going forward with acres of space to run into but then inexplicably turned back, when they could have driven into space and put pressure on the opposition defence. Instead we end up passing back and across our defence, giving the opposition time to re-group.

Who took the armband when O’Hara was substituted yesterday

Fraser is the vice captain. I assume he took it.

Although we miss Strain's deliveries, which weren't always perfect, is it unreasonable to ask the rest of the players to put a decent delivery into the box?

Over the past couple of months it has been atrocious. Most recently V Motherwell and also yesterday. Tanser hit one decent delivery, which Gogic got onto the end of and forced a decent save from Clark. other than that, crosses sailed over the heads of the strikers or were easily cleared or cut out by the Hearts defenders.

It's no wonder our strikers haven't scored, as we've barely created anything for them to actually strike. Although, the Ross County game did see a few created and missed, so they're not without blame either.

Will be interesting to see if Elvis (the RWB, not the halfwit that infests here with his pish) makes a difference.

As others have mentioned, there are too many wayward passes, combined with basic mistakes at the back.

Robinson has a lot of work to do to redress the situation.

Chance to go 4 clear in 4th place, would be absolutely delighted with that. If Hibs beat Hearts we could go 3rd.

Will be a tough game. Hoping we go with a largely unchanged side. Would maybe drop Vassell and bring Kennedy back in if he's fit.

    Not so sure about that.

The form of our entire team, bar Hemmings, has dropped off a cliff.

However, we do play better at home. If we play like we did v Ross County we've got a chance. If it's like the recent Motherwell performance, then you'll take all the spoils.
