  1. I was thinking that today. We don't have a good record signing strikers in the January window. Duckens Nazon was another who was underwhelming. Rory Loy did a job, albeit in the championship.
  2. It was tongue in cheek. Still, I'm sure that Curtis will give him a game to remember one way or another.
  3. Barry Robson? I see they've signed a 21 year old CH from Watford. Curtis Main's next victim.
  4. No managerial list is complete without that useless bell end Alan St****s.
  5. He's been a regular all season. Seems you're as ignorant about football as your manager was about signing players, tactics and just about everything else really. He was carrying an injury yesterday. But thanks all the same for him.
  6. In most cases "double the salary" comes with "double the pressure". Loads of people value their lives outside of work more than a high paid job with a huge salary and manage to live a comfortable lifestyle. Agent Jim was obviously very ambitious. However, it would seem that he's been overly ambitious. It is amusing to think just how much he's cost you in terms of compensation, salary and signing of completely shit, gutless players. Mind you he did save a some money offloading one of the decent centre halves that you had. Thanks for that. He's been outstanding all season.
  7. Not quite as amusing as one not leaving us for Dundee.
  8. We had about half a dozen today. Kelly caught about four of them unchallenged. The others were cleared by defenders. With the likes of Gogic , Dunne, Gallagher, Ayunga and Main in there we should be causing more problems.
  9. We seem to be coached to give catching practice to opposition keepers at corners. Our corners are dire. Our goal threat from corners is non-existent.
  10. Thought he looked very lively when he came on. Although he was up against a rather ghostly midfield which was largely posted missing for much of the match
  11. Indeed. He's a much better player than last year. It takes a wee while for a player to get rid of the bad habits picked at previous clubs.
  12. Absolutely. O'Hara and Kiltie were invisible for most of the match. Motherwell midfield managed to dominate the second half completely. Thankfully Baccus will be back for Wednesday, hopefully along with Gallagher, with Gogic moving back into midfield. Thought Marcus Fraser was really good today. Main had a strong game too.
  13. He's injured, or he would have been playing CH in place of Gogic according to Robinson. Baccus will be a huge miss today. A midfield without both Gogic and Baccus is worrying.
  14. Robinson's first comments on O'Hara's injury was that he'd be out for 4 weeks or so. However, he made a miraculous recovery and reappeared for the next match. Contrary to what some of our support believe, we will miss Baccus. He hasn't been as good as he was before the WC, but his energy in midfield will be missed IMO.
  15. The latter. A couple of laughable bookings took him over the threshold. Unless there's been an injury this week O'Hara is fit.
  16. In other news........ I noticed that Connor Ronan sealed a £500K move to Colorado rapids. Colorado Rapids acquire Connor Ronan from Wolverhampton Wanderers (denverpost.com)
  17. Indeed. I'm certain the clubs that are interested will have focussed on his performances on the biggest footballing stage in the world, rather than a couple of poor performances in the Scottish premiership. What is it with some of our dafty supporters?
  18. I think the big question is whether or not we're going to sign a striker that might get us the goals to get into the top six. Given that we're saving money to compensate for our financial losses, there's a distinct possibility IMO that Offord and Jamieson will be replacements for Brophy and Oluysana. The former two didn't exactly excel at a lower level, so I'm not convinced that they're the answer to our goal scoring problems. Even if we are looking to bring someone in, it's very difficult to sign a quality striker who is ready to start matches in this window. It's hard enough for a club like us to sign a goal scoring striker in the summer, never mind now.
  19. Have to agree. An slightly better than average defender, who isn't particularly strong in the air. He also has a tendency to ball watch and let forwards nip in at the back post and score. He has had some good spells though.
  20. Ross County set to make second striker signing as Eamonn Brophy nears move to Dingwall (pressandjournal.co.uk)
  21. I think they're both decent managers, but it would appear that mid-table SPFL premiership is their limit. I do think Robbo is a better manager, but apparently he can't maintain decent managerial form over the course of a season, according to our Fir Park stalkers.
