  1. Yeh, love Italy too mate. I really need to visit Rome tbh. Vaguely remember Genoa being nice from the WC in 1990 with Turin being a bit industrial. An ex colleague whom is now a good friend is from near Naples so will look to explore further South on my return to Europe.
  2. As much as I enjoyed Venice, I much preferred Florence.
  3. Florence with a wee trip up to the opera in the Roman amphitheatre at Verona, Throbber?
  4. Off work til the 10th but could do with being back in the routine even though I've not really been on the drink over the festive period. I can see why my mum says you need to be ready for retirement. Without some sort of structure to your day you're just filling time really.
  5. Congratulations! Great to hear he's doing well after a tough start
  6. On a serious note, here's Hearts proposal for relocating to Sighthill back in the 1930/40's:
  7. f**k! Is it too late just to touch up the paintwork on the old main stand instead?
  8. You don't know what you're missing mate. Marlborough Estates is a good starter for 10!
  9. Alex Ferguson's Aberdeen won the league that year.......Didn't they beat you over the Christmas period then in blizzard conditions?
  10. in fairness, whisky is good for a cold too.....
  11. You sound like a real catch!
  12. For free parking in Edinburgh go to Lower Gilmore Place and park "off road" (still on the monoblock) on Rope Walk near the canal. 10 minute walk to Princes Street from there.
  13. Gin and tonic is a magnificent drink....or with bitter lemon. Especially if the gin is tanqueray or bombay saphire.
  14. It never ceases to amaze me the number of people like Daniel that think anyone in their right mind would give a flying f**k about any day in their life to make a vlog about it. Just f**k off.
  15. Did you not take the horse with you this year? (no wife or gf jokes at the back please!)
  16. Thanks mate. Hope your son is ok and that his ongoing treatment is going well. Congratulations! I think your worrying has only just begun! Try not to though and enjoy what is a wonderful experience. Thanks mate. All the best to you and your family with your partners treatment too. It's a vile and horrible disease cancer. Just the look of the chemotherapy drug screams "toxic" or "poison"! Cheers guys. Appreciate all your thoughts and wishes. She had a heart scan yesterday to see if the cancer drugs have had any ill effects on its work and thankfully everything is normal. Another step on this long road done.
