Even in 1985 at Heysel......incredible looking back that the game was played. Platini even celebrated his winning goal! Admittedly they feared a further riot had the game not been played.

The nostalgia is great but Muirton really was a tired old ground......the supermarket deal & that with Farmer McDiarmid when combined with the work deal the previous couple of years by Geoff Brown & Alex Totten laid the foundations of St Johnstone being a full time Club for the last 25years (they were part time from 85-89 I think). People slag off McDiarmid but the first 2years where the Club averaged over 7,000 were amazing plus the football was great too.....Perth just seems to have fallen out of love with their team a bit.

I believe Celtic & Rangers fans started the demolition just before the final whistle.......:ph34r:

The two stadiums (not Ibrox (yet)) are gone.......the near stadium is where the M*8 now runs and the other is where there was a high rise until recently. Check it out on google satellite maps.....you'll see the gas holder is still there.

I like the Falkirk stadium.....looks great although an old style covered terrace enclosure opposite the main stand would set it off nicely!

Dry your fcuking eyes Keith Jackson.....if Hearts are liquidated I'd fully expect the Newco to have to apply for SPFL Div 3 entry & a licence.........hardly the same as exiting Administration via a CVA. The transfer embargo is down to continued rule braking of late payment of wages.....I understand the concern for the strains the young players are being put under but rules are rules.....get on with it.
