Rangers never ruined Cantwell, he's just an absolute fanny.

That he is and maybe ruin is the incorrect or too strong a word but the transfer just didn’t make sense if you were going to allow the player who was already heavily criticised for his off field antics to come up here and continue that behaviour especially in Glasgow and especially when your not 1st.

All that happens is it costs you a lot of money, both club and the player look stupid and the player leaves tail between his legs with his confidence shot to shit

The Diallo loan was to a much lesser extent similar.

There’s a story today that rangers net spend this summer was close to £12m.

Thats quite insane based on 1) how shit they are and 2) how they’ve been pleading poverty all summer.

By far and away the biggest spenders.

Their operating model is destined to fail if they do not make drastic changes.

They spent way beyond their means in the 90’s to try and bury Celtic, fast forward 30 years and they spend way beyond their means trying to catch them.

They hold onto players way too long and some of them that do have potential they utterly ruin such as Cantwell who was just 3 or 4 years ago a potential £40 million target for Villa.

They need to stop pretending they can compete with Celtic, get the operating model right for long term stability and then work on bridging that gap. If they don’t the good ship Sevco may be joining her big brother at the bottom of the sea.

Maybe cast your eye over the thread for the cup final, or the game at Ibrox  for Idah’s goals and you’ll see that I criticise him when it’s warranted.

You make it out as though I believe Butland can do no wrong, when in reality I do criticise him - I just think he is a good keeper. As I said, this all stems from my criticisms of Hart which you clearly haven’t gotten over.

Mate you can keep circling back to this idea that there is something I need to get over if it helps you soothe the seethe you currently feel but I probably got the last laugh in that regard on Cup Final day, it’s not my fault Butland has continued to make a rip roaring c**t of himself since and since cost you Champions League Qualification and much needed points yesterday.

As a rival fan do I quite enjoy the irony of you putting him on a pedestal for him to turn out to be what I told you he is which is pretty average? Absolutely and ofc I’m going to take the opportunity to goad you a little about.

But don’t blame me, blame Butland for making it too easy and throwing you under the bus and tbf it’s not just me that’s laughing at him today, it’s the entirety of Scottish football with the exception of Rangers fans which by judging by the videos clearly aren’t laughing.

Why do you continually come out with stuff like this as if I don’t criticise Butland? I literally slated him for Kyogo’s goal at the time.

Must have missed that reading back the thread. You seemed to be much more upset by Beaton booking Jefte as if that was the biggest thing impacting your performance. However it’s a first for you, must have stung a little too

  5. I still play over 35’s and over 40’s. The standard is probably better than you expect it to be however somewhat more challenging this season since they disbanded the premier league so teams like EKYM who have Davie and Robbie Winters playing won our division at a canter

Butland had a purple patch when he signed, he looked very decent in qualifiers etc whilst Joe looked shaky up untill new year. After that Butland looked as average as his career has suggested but still fine for either team tbh. Joe had a great 2024 for us but I think we all knew we were getting an upgrade in Schmeicel, especially in terms of distribution.

The volume of howlers he has amassed since the turn of the year is absolutely laughable as is the volume of shots that go through him, how poor he is at his near post and how questionable his positioning can be. Joe Hart is in the past, retired with a CV Butland could only ever dream of, in the here and now Butland is what he has always been, a pretty average keeper. Having a striker pass a ball past you from almost 30 yards is unforgivable but where he is just now is his level.

On the game itself Rangers came out really aggressive which made me think we could be in for a game but after 5 mins once we started to play through the press pretty easily and started looking for the runners in behind it was as comfortable as I’ve felt in a derby game since the 3-0 midweek game post covid when Hatate scored 2. We could have easily have had 5 or 6 today and it wouldn’t have flattered us, the front 3 I thought were brilliant. A lot of people would have been looking at Bernardo today and I thought he too done really well bar that one mistake.

You really took my criticisms of Joe Hart personally, eh.

Nothing to do with Joe Hart, told you repeatedly the lad is bang average and that’s another big mistake in a big game but yet you continually look past them just like you did with Tavernier for years who also f**ked another one today.

Really questioning your eye for a player tbh

It’s going to take some time to accept the image of him in a Celtic top. Having said that, a model pro who gave everything for us and his application cannot be faulted.
Wish Luke all the best and happy for him to realize his dream of playing for Celtic even if it is a bit raw this morning!

With how well he seems to be regarded by the Dundee fanbase reassures me we have a good one and I’m sure he will make an impact, he seems to be that type of guy who will grab the opportunity with both hands or that left peg

They've had, what, three months to get the players in that they want, and they're scrambling about on the last day to sign players vital to their season. Small club mentality.

    I agree to a point.

Whilst we are certainly upping the spending we take a while to get business done and trying to negotiate transfers after ever club in Europe knows we have just pocketed 25 million leaves us open to teams pushing up their price and with little time to pivot if alternatives need to be found.

I'm pretty sure the bigot brothers have their own forum for this pish so the rest of us don't need to see it, pair of c***s!

There is but any thread posted in there you all just follow anyway because you just can’t help yourselves.

I mean you couldn’t even stay off this thread despite your claims of not wanting to see it.
