  1. Not a single Celtic fan on here has complained about financial differences nor is anyone using it as an excuse. Everyone else seems to be obsessed by it though. They are a top drawer team and just simply better than us
  2. He is full of shite, that team are a direct reflection of his attitude, pure vanilla. Now we also may get rinsed tomorrow night especially now with CCV out but what you will get is energy and endeavour at the very least. This guy must be boiling Rangers fans piss, it’s superb
  3. I see wee Gio is talking about budgets again, no really doing himself any favours is he?
  4. Never heard Ange mention anything about financial disparity in Europe. Everything has been about where we should be better and all things that are within our control. However the fact your priority here isn’t to make things better for other clubs but to “de-legitimise” any Celtic or Rangers achievements is utterly pathetic and fuelled by self interested bitterness. You are to be pitied more than anything else, it’s all a bit sad really.
  5. Not everyone as the pundits also seemed to think it was a pen nor did Martindale raise it as an issue. And the law does support it as it’s not just about how close your arms are to your body but where they are in relation to your body movement and no one naturally has their hands in that position which does make his body bigger or the ball wouldn’t have hit it. Let’s not be disingenuous though Joey, you are calling for that if the shoe is on the other foot especially if potentially saves you from a riding like yesterday. Like I said it’s harsh on the player but understand completely why it’s given based on how the law currently works As for the game it’s just good to come away Livi unscathed hopefully that’s the curse well and truly broken
  6. By letter of the current law it’s a pen, that isn’t a natural position for your hands to be unless you’re a T-Rex whether it should be and laws requires changing (again) is a whole different debate. In saying that it is harsh on the player
  7. But not a conversation about finances, co-efficients or hypotheticals just solely about level of achievement Hopefully I don’t see you being too critical of Celtic going out at this stage since if we apply your logic it must be a better achievement than going through And maybe PSV would have beaten Celtic and then again maybe not as let’s not forget who PSV fell foul of and what we did to them
  8. Mate I’m struggling to get past the suggestion that playing group stage football isn’t better than getting papped out in the qualifiers. My mind is genuinely blow and I think I make a safe assumption most CEO’s of major football clubs would have real difficulty accepting that assessment. Christ I could imagine DD’s face when the next potential Celtic manager offers that explanation in his interview “DD it’s all good, the plan is to go out of Europe in August and not play any group stage football whatsoever, it’s a better achievement “ You were kind enough to answer my questions so I’ll do the same 1. Yes because those 3 European competitions kept you in European football beyond Xmas and they didn’t end in August. 2. No because no matter if you win 1 game or 0 games the likelihood is your are out so the question then becomes simply would you rather play Europe League group games or Champions League group games and to that there is only 1 answer.
  9. Indulge me by answering 2 questions. 1. Is qualifying to play Europa League group stage football in your 1st season better than going out in the qualifying stage? 2. Is qualifying and playing in the Champions League group stage by way of winning the domestic league better than not winning the league and being reinstated into the Europa League after already being knocked out?
  10. So I wasn’t being overly critical after all, glad we cleared that up And Ange is just faster and simpler to type than Postecoglou, simple logic and not in anyway a suggestion that we are on first name terms
  11. In what way do you feel I’m being overly critical of Neil Lennon? Do you believe failing to qualify for any group stage in his 1st season or being knocked out by Sion in his 2nd not be a bit of a disaster? That’s quite a take for someone who has been quite critical of a manager currently competing in the highest tier of European Competition after just a season in charge I’m also not suggesting it hasn’t been poor, I haven’t even come close to alluding to such a thing however what I have pointed out, which is factually accurate and not an irrational take, is he is ahead of where Neil Lennon was at the same stage. And if you feel me suggesting it’s a bit stupid to enter a debate without adequate knowledge of the subject you are debating to be insulting then you are possibly too sensitive to enter the conversation in the first place…….just my opinion
  12. Bud go and read my post on this page where I clearly said I enjoyed Lennon’s 1st tenure in charge and secondly where am I actually being critical of Neil Lennon here? By suggesting his 1st 2 forays into Europe were a bit disastrous? That’s just fact ffs it would be a stretch to suggest it wasn’t. The 3rd season was brilliant And why are you talking about co-efficient? Lennon didn’t fail to qualify for the Champions League due to co-efficient but due to the fact he won the league in his 2nd season and not his 1st If your going to come here and debate at least get your shit together and know these things mate or you just look stupid
  13. Then you will be well aware and in the interest of drawing fair comparison that Neil Lennon didn’t really start to get it right in Europe until his 3rd season in charge. The first 2 seasons were a bit of a disaster tbh. His 1st season we went out at the first hurdle getting battered by Utrecht and the 2nd was the season we got put out by Sion and then reinstated to then go out again in the group stages and i also remember the chat about Lennon after our exit and the sentiment from folks like yourself was very far from Neil Lennon is a Champions League level manager…..in fact it was probably about as far from that as you could imagine Small details Kennie but they matter and in this case Ange done significantly better in his 1st season in Europe than Lennon did and also managed to reach the Champions League a season earlier than him also so it seems you have chosen to forget quite a lot about Lennon’s early ventures with Celtic in Europe.
  14. Have i said otherwise? I am just very surprised considering Kennie thinks he is considering his normal anti-everything Celtic opinion. Comes as a surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed Lennys 1st tenure, his 2nd I was very vocal about him not being the right person to follow Rodgers and sadly proven right. He’s still a Celtic legend in my eyes though I haven’t suggested anything, my reaction is to you actually having anything positive to say about a Celtic manager and especially one as polarising as Neil Lennon, I really didn’t see that one coming at all Again you are trying to read between the lines and not actually reading what I have written, so yeah just a bit of a wild take from you which is not that shocking at all
