  1. There’s nothing wrong with ‘ battling’, it’s called being competitive. There was plenty wrong with several of the challenges from your team, mainly defensive minded players. Big difference. As I said you reminded me of a junior team of cloggers.
  2. I have no problem with you disagreeing. Apart from today you are at different games to me usually. From the games I have seen so far, there is very little between the teams apart from Cove who in midfield and attack are far superior to the rest, but even they are nothing special defensively. Cowden are very difficult to beat at home without being especially pleasing on the eye but have a few decent players. I can assure you today’s match was an eye opener for me. Very physical, dirty and cynical challenges from your team, the kind you expect in the juniors to be honest. Also you didn’t create a single chance against 10 men for almost 40 minutes. In the past I always felt you were the team of amateurs who played some decent football and yesterday was a big contrast which surprised me. All the best anyway
  3. Well done on the vote , if that’s what you all wanted. Presume when the professional contracts come in to play it will be a large turnover of players at first. I’m not fishing, your team had several cloggers in it. I usually find your team plays a fair bit of football on the deck but your current side doesn’t have the ability to do that (based on today, I don’t go to Hampden for the games).
  4. Maybe if they had lost 3-0 away to Celtic they could be proud, but shouldn’t be proud of a 3-0 defeat in most circumstances. It’s only a 10 team league and all are part time.
  5. He lost the plot. Davy the dodgem is a walking time bomb when he’s in the wrong mood.
  6. Cowden battled away very well once down to 10 men. Cox can’t hide behind his publicised mental health problems though. His actions are unacceptable for a professional team, simple as that. Queens Park didn’t create a a chance with the extra man. There was no creativity from them and a lot of wild, physical and late challenges. Looked more like a bunch of junior hatchet men than amateurs going professionals. Their 15 was my favourite. He was having an absolute howler in possession, missing the ball, over hitting passes etc before his wild off the ball swipe kick at Smith which deservedly got him a straight red to complete a dreadful day for him. In the end Cowden should really have scored a second to kill it off but well done. Some strike for the QP free kick from well out that hit the bar but that was all they had 2nd half. Not the usual style of play I associate with the amateurs, more like a gang plucked from the boozers of weegieland.
  7. Great day, great away support. Always felt comfortable, the 2 games v County have proved there is a gulf between the 2 teams. Thought Greg Leigh was good again, but no failures in the team. Hope Bryson didn’t get a tweak of the injury again, he seemed to sneak off very early in 2nd half.
  8. Plenty have heard of this, away end sold out I believe. My first ever visit to this ground, then only 3 more left to visit in Scotland.
  9. Not totally right there bud. Scott Wright was getting a fair bit of game time before his injury and sure Gleeson would have played recently if not injured. Ojo due back January I think.
  10. Interesting angle. The area around the Pittodrie is okay but not prime, and property prices in Aberdeen have decreased quite a lot in the last four years or so. It’s been earmarked for housing by the planning, but how likely is the housing market to increase enough in the near future to get a better value for the land? Is this new stadium ever going to materialise? I’m not sure it is.
  11. Good feet and tenacity although the shot was possibly drifting wide of post before headed away.
  12. Didn’t make the game but watched on Alba the whole 90 yesterday at 6. Not quite getting all the praise for Main, didn’t think he was up to much although he took his goal really well.
  13. Since I said it 30 odd minutes ago, I apologise for any distress caused. Not my finest moment tbf. Ok mate, let you off. We all make mistakes!
  14. That boy should definitely wait until the Sunday to write a report, maybe his heart rate will have dropped below 180bpm by then.
  15. Totally get how frustrating it must be for a fan who goes week in , week out and can’t get a ticket for a semi final or final. However these fixtures are played at a neutral venue and therefore the split of tickets should also be neutral/ equal as far as possible. Lets be honest, it’s not really a competition in the first place. Multiple times bigger budget than the competitors, playing to huge home crowds every other week, ‘generous referees’, sign your competitors best players to weaken them (and half the time hardly playing them) etc. It’s hardly a level playing field. You have to concede something surely?
  16. As I said earlier, far too greedy. Was almost like he had his own ball and nobody else was getting to play with it. A lot to learn to make the grade full time.
  17. Cove the better team in midfield and attack, too many options and too much movement for Cowden. Glass has obviously got a fair bit of ability, but the young lad is far too greedy . It’s a team game of 11 players and you need to involve your team mates. Fair few arrogant boys in the Cove team, and to be honest lacking in class. Its their league to lose though as they have spent a fair bit of cash for this level. ps that ref is an absolute joke
  18. Made a rip roaring c**t of yourself, then back for more. Belter of the week award to you Goat boy.
