  1. Ok, cheers. If true, he’s not helping himself either then.
  2. What did it say about his reason(s) for not wanting to sign with Cowden?
  3. While I agree with you Shinnie was a big player, I think Aberdeen will have a stronger squad and a better midfield than last season.
  4. To say Renton didn’t have a decent game last night is very unfair. He worked really hard, won headers, closed down centre half’s and got the ball back a few times, used the ball keeping possession regularly and brought others into play. He is playing against 1 of the biggest clubs in the country with international players. We are under the cosh at times and hardly dictating play so I have no idea what else is expected of him.
  5. Team did well, battling hard and played alright especially 2nd half. Good workout for the fitness and no shame to lose 2-0 to a top 6 premier team. the keeper, Barr, Thomas and Renton were excellent although everyone had decent performances and contributed. Best I have seen big Renton. only disappointment for me is only giving the 2 subs a few minutes. Would have given them a longer run out, especially Allan. While Cox and Renton battled away, neither has any pace and we were crying out for a change upfront earlier. Same as Saturday, we badly need a left back although again Mullen has a good game but it’s not his fault we don’t get his overlapping or general attacking play when he’s stuck on the left.
  6. Love the strip, really good effort. What next? The radge multi triangles strip from early 90s? (Had racewall as sponsor)
  7. Let’s be honest, nobody really knows of this Funzo guy is even any good. May not even end up being a starter.
  8. He’s like the porridge oats man, just standing there with his chest puffed out swatting away the feeble East Fife attack’s, occasionally shouting ‘Mango’s’ in a voice Russell Crowe is envious of before calmly bringing the ball down on his chest and distributing to whichever team mate he decides is worthy.
  9. If he’s as good as johno we have hit the jackpot there.
  10. Yeah mate Barr is a rock and could be a brilliant signing. Which 1 is Taylor?
  11. Keeper looked decent today, happy with him. First 11 today obvious weaknesses are lack of pace in attack, and the full back situation. Mullen did alright considering he’s a right sided player put in at left back but we are not going to get much going forward from the 2 full backs areas with that team. Great result though. East Fife have some useful players.
  12. 2 good goals and a shame Jordyn didn’t convert the penalty he won. There’s a bit more football in the midfield this season which is pleasing to see. Still some issues with the team but they worked hard and defended well. Whoever was criticising the keeper on here after his first game, think you jumped the gun. Had a solid and decent game, especially for a young guy.
  13. Would maybe have been humorous if he was signing for Dundee.
  14. Haha We are ok with mid table league 2 for now. Could have been a lot further down quite easily!
  15. Of course you are correct, but the progression has to start somewhere so hopefully some good results ahead.
  16. He’s tiny and tackling not a strength. Has pace which helps right enough.
  17. No probs. it pisses me off when good young Scottish players go down to England lured by cash. half of them vanish and return not as a good a player, some succeed. i would like them to stay in scotland and a better league with more games in Europe would help. positivity can make a difference, to some anyway .......
  18. Good luck with your wishes, you will have to take on UEFA with that 1. Wrong St Nic, amazingly must be more than 1.
  19. Doesn’t appear to be. A few people jumping the gun.
  20. You don’t want better players in Scotland and a higher level of play helped by success of Scottish clubs in Europe. You're certainly not any St Nicholas anyway.
