Surely it’s in everyone’s interests if Bollan sits down with Swann and sorts this out. A stand off like this helps nobody and hurts Swann the most but also the club. Work out together how to help Swann regain a place in the team. Get him in love with playing again if that’s faded, it can’t be that hard nurture a lad who can play a bit. If there’s been any issues between them then fresh slate and start again. Spell out what is expected of him and work together to get him playing again. Hes good enough to play for us, and we have given him a chance in football over a period of time now so he owes to knuckle down if nobody else signs him and Bollan owes him a fresh start.

Different from stewart, who has no pace and needs movement around him to show his vision. against packed defence it’s vital to have some pace as that creates the space, the fact you can run in behind at speed means defenders have to think differently how they defend and position.

When did they play as a front 2? Dont recall in latter part of season when Wilson saying he was getting fitter.

Wilson is ideal to play upfront with a bigger partner. He will provide the movement, pacy runs and the bits of skill, the things Cosgrove can’t do basically. ( unsure what Mains game is yet)

A midfielder and attacker of quality are absolutely pivotal to the outcome of this season. The squad is still fairly average and could easily come anywhere from 3rd to 6th as things stand.

Wilson would give the team pace and the unpredictability of someone who can make things happen. It’s worth taking a chance on a player like this, there are too many players in the game who are basically just athletes. Now without GMS, the team could do with an injection of pace and the lad has talent. If you try to play with a fear or a lack of confidence, you’re beat before you start and I felt that was a big part of Wilson’s problem . Whether that’s down to past injuries making him scared I don’t know, but if you get him right mentally he could do really well.

Surely if you are going to 9/10 games a season and don’t want to buy a whole season book, you just pay in at the turnstile when you can make it? is that not how it works? theres no logic in this conversation.
