  1. All of the above absolute nonsense. One of the first names on the team sheet for a team really pushing to go up to the EPL. He’s so composed for a young player and his range of passing is getting better and better each week. He was absolutely outstanding tonight and set up a couple of the goals.
  2. When did Musonda last actually play for us? Struggling to remember just how long ago it was.
  3. 2nd Vs 3rd in the championship tonight. Sheff Utd realistically only need a draw to confirm promotion. Even losing isn’t a disaster for them, but definitely would cause a bit of panic.
  4. Hard not to be classed as flat track bullies when the entire country bar 2 teams are inferior to them.
  5. Dave Smith has lived rent free in your head ever since telling you to f**k off a while ago. It’s glorious viewing.
  6. Missed it at the time, what happened to Hogg with the HIA? Didn’t even see him take a hit and ran off looking fine so was surprised when he didn’t come back.
  7. Remember when Townsend tried to drop Russell entirely? That was a good laugh.
  8. I think vast majority will have followed them closely at the start, or at least the main ones. Once vaccines were available and it became clear that the main threat was severely reduced, but over the top restrictions remained, you still had people like Welshbairn criticising the people who were openly critical of the rules. Well, until It affected his travel plans, then the rules were fair game to critique.
  9. There was absolutely loads of this, including on here in the Covid thread, and it was fucking infuriating. Pensioners and people who are happy with their lives exactly as pars described telling everyone that we must stick to the rules and that they were no hardship, precisely because they didn’t affect them. Welshy was a prime example of this. As soon as the rules affected him and his travel plans, suddenly that’s when they were a problem. Lockdown was great at highlighting the selfishness of the population. I remember an older family member at the time saying if they were in charge they would permanently keep the curfew rule of nobody allowed out after 9pm because “I’m never out after then, it’s only people causing trouble”. Difficult not to scream in their face. Interesting you’re now saying this after your scathing criticism at the time of the people on here in that age bracket who openly criticised the rules.
  10. Might be an unpopular opinion, but I absolutely despise the Waste Management Open and it’s attempt to turn golf into a farce of a sport with pissed up nutters making up the majority of the crowd. People celebrating and loving videos today of streakers running all over the greens and shagging the flag etc. I fucking hate the Americanisation, loud screaming, drunken arsehole behaviour version of golf.
  11. It’ll be for Robert the Bruce, not Ailsa. Still good value though!
  12. What is the consensus on here regarding international selection of players who play club rugby outside of their domestic league? Have seen a bit of debate around it and the All Blacks’ refusal to change tact on it and being happy to give up on players who’ve moved abroad. Seems mental to me to potentially exclude your best players, but I guess they can get away with it due to their depth more than most. I hadn’t thought about it much as SRU allow it, but I’d be a seething mess if Russell for example was blacklisted because he’d gone onto a higher level.
  13. The pros: Work went significantly less stressful for a fairly lengthy period Commute was utterly glorious with no traffic at all, managed to drive to work a few times without seeing a single other car in the early days which is mental really A lot of “working” from home The first few weeks of doing absolutely nothing at weekends but ordering a takeaway, having a few beers and doing the odd quiz Getting back into actively enjoying walking in the glorious weather at the time Cons: Not being able to travel between fucking counties and then even when allowed to, not being able to go inside or stay overnight etc so not visiting family for huge amount of time. Missed a fairly significant period of my niece growing which hurt The extreme boredom after the initial few weeks of doing endless quizzes and no proper socialising Not being able to go out and eat in a restaurant/drink in a pub for what felt like a year Masks everywhere was a pain in the arse Probably more cons I’ve forgotten about, but definitely wasn’t all bad for me. I do remember after the second lockdown and the seemingly never ending doom and gloom with a lot of people (in positions of authority) pushing the ‘life will never be the same’ argument starting to get worryingly angry/frustrated/sad about the whole thing. Especially when it became clear that the rules were huge overkill and no longer necessary but were being kept on anyway for no apparent reason.
  14. Coulson has just signed an extension to his Boro contract until 2025. I’m fairly surprised by that as he looked nowhere near the required standard, and I thought he wasn’t highly thought of at Aberdeen. Or am I wrong?
  15. That Partick fan who’s the most miserable guy in the world hasn’t been seen much recently on here…
  16. Glorious. Utterly fucking glorious.
  17. Is Price out of form for club or something? Seems bizarre not to even be in the squad.
  18. Was excited when Boro signed him in the summer, but unfortunately looks very raw and was miles off the pace for English Championship level in the short cameo appearances he got. Hopefully does well and gets a solid run of games as there is definitely potential there.
  19. As he should, it’s been scandalous the way he seems to just be sitting hoping it goes away.
  20. Anyone know of any foursomes open competitions this year? Love playing the format but don’t get too many opens using it.
