The Ultimate Super Ayr Thread

I agree wrt Aumedia. The half time character assassination of Tomi in the Raith game on boxing day was beyond the pale. Despite him having scored as well. You expect better of your in-house media team. I have always muted it and made the mistake of unmuting it for that game. Back to mute they go, the next time I have to stream a home game. On Bryden, I thought he contributed reasonably well. He put himself about and ran himself into the ground. He certainly contributed more than McKenzie and Maxwell (both of whom seem to be ever presents). I doubt he'd start Fraser on Friday, is Big Sam not back for that one? More likely we revert to 451 with Ashford up front and Tomi on the bench. That's what I expect Bullen to do. I'd prefer to line up as we did against Raith and play Sam & Tomi but I'm not sure Bullen has the cojonas for that. -

That's alright then. I'll fight anyone suggesting we get rid of Tomi. I love the guy. -

In that case, I assume you want rid of the entire starting 11 as well? Tomi & Moffat were the only positives today and both came off the bench. At this level, strikers with 10+ league goals are hard to come by. There are only 4 players with 10+ goals in the league so far: I suspect Arbroath, Partick and Killie won't be looking to offload McKenna, Graham & Shaw respectively. We should be building a team around Tomi not aiming for better imo. -

Speaking of next season, I am more convinced than ever that we need a whole new defence. They are rancid, we are far too easy to score against. -

Aye, I heard a couple of our fans moaning that he didn't jump for a high ball today. He shut them right up when he scored though. -

Tomi wasn't even fully fit and scored and hit an absolute peach that Hamilton saved. If fit, Tomi should be the first name on the team sheet. If we are only playing one striker it should be Adeloye. Personally I'd prefer to see Adeloye and Ashford playing together for the rest of the season. We need to be more positive. -
Greenock Morton v Ayr United

I'll take a draw, we were grim for fucking ages. Until Tomi & Moffat came on. I don't recall us other playing so narrow. Does Bullen have an aversion to wide players? Even Houston and Reading stop going forward when they near the half way line. It's fucking brutal, there's space out wide but there is never anyone there. -

Just home. I love Tomi Adeloye. Most of that game was brutal but I'll take a point. -

I'm here now. That team selection is so Bullen. No Moffat or O'Connor? Hmmm... let's see how we go. -

I've decided to go, if this is a disaster I'm playing Angus with his inspiring call to get behind the team! -

Madwullie Cup 1/3 Final Result Dearyme defeats the defending Champion Eindhovendee by resignation in 27 moves. Not sure it's enough to get me a bye to the final? @Curmudgeon @Aim Here A weird game, as 960 chess often is. I had definitely erred and Eindhovendee had me toiling. However, a mistake in his move order let me off the hook so instead of being a piece down (and potentially even a Rook) I ended up a piece up. I'll take it. Thanks for the game mate. -

I'm not a big fan of blind faith tbh. The team need to excite me to persuade me to go to away games. They did that in the game away to Raith where we actually played Adeloye & Ashford, and I was there to enjoy all the goals. I'm still 50/50. The prospect of McKenzie or Bryden leading the line on their own is terrifying. To counter that, our away record is pretty decent and I'm hoping Bullen is playing mind games with players available. If I don't go I will buy a stream. The only time I have actually boycotted was when Roberts got a new contract. I was fucking seething. Season ticket wasn't renewed and I didn't go to a game until he was gone. -

Division A Result Dearyme defeats AH13STU by resignation. An interesting game, it was pretty much a closed position (other than a couple of semi open files). I attacked on the b file and managed to win AH13STU's a&b pawns by virtue of STU missing a tactic. It was pretty hard to hold the position thereafter as I had a monster passed a pawn. This was the critical moment. Thanks for the game. I think I'm finished all my league games. I need to double check. Although I've got a horrible feeling I need to play Eindhovendee again, who continues to be my kryptonite. -

Tbf to Kerr, anyone who followed McCall was going to have it tough. He clearly had a style he wanted to play and I thought he recruited reasonably well in the summer. His crap January window finished him off as we had nothing up front. I expect he would have done better in our current setup with Mathie & Glendinning. He's certainly a better manager than Duffy and Hopkin and they've managed to forge careers. All the best to Kerr, it didn't work out for him here but I wish him well. -

Queens Park certainly seem to be chucking money at it. I'd imagine Coyle and Stewart were on a decent wedge in India. -

Bullen loves runners tbf. The stat tweets from the clubs twitter feed all but confirm that. It's always about metres run and sprints. Never pass completion, interceptions and tackles made. -
