  1. Back to on the pitch chat... 4 games left for the first quarter, where are the points coming from?
  2. I agree that they need to investigate the incident with the fan. I have to say though I struggle to envisage a scenario where the stewards are justified in their actions with that one. The fact they've managed to knock over a disabled fan who sits on the club's junior board will hopefully avoid the "he said she said" which would otherwise ensue. That's entirely seperate to the policy of having sniffer dogs on the SRE terraces. That needs binned now. I think its an outrageous way to treat our fans and requires a significant response from the fanbase. I can't think of any other scenario in my life where I have been subjected to that. I've had it when entering stadiums before but never inside the stadium. I don't even know what justifies that, if it's Pablo Escobar or drugs related that is a police matter. They should be there not outsourcing the responsibility to a private company.
  3. I don't need to hear any other side, the club should not have stewards and sniffer dogs patrolling the terraces on the SRE. It is that simple. I know the wall on Somerset Road makes it look like some sort of Home Office immigration detention centre but it isn't.
  4. Nah mate, sniffer dogs in the stand. Said stewards doing this as well...
  5. You clearly can't read because I didn't actually cancel my AU500 fund payment. I expect you knew that though and were just going for hyperbole instead. Do better.
  6. Football is weird and football fans are even weirder. Why do some of our fans try and attack our own fans when the club errs? It was the same with the instalment season tickets there were comments like "stop moaning", "you don't even need your season ticket". There is a staggering lack of empathy from some in our support. Is it a tribal thing? My club can do no wrong? It's utterly bizarre behaviour.
  7. On the policing? I can't remember the last time I saw a police officer at Somerset. Where are they? Hiding in the conservatory?
  8. Wearing a yellow vest doesn't allow you to do what you want and get away with it in a football stadium. Football supporters are much maligned but your average steward is either the equivalent of a cave man or utterly disinterested. There is no middle ground.
  9. That is utterly grim Malky. I'm sorry to read that. You showed remarkable restraint.
  10. I haven't cancelled it yet and will only do so if the club do nothing. It's not something I take any glee in but the threat is necessary to get the club to budge. In your scenario I would re-instate it. I cancelled it once before and reinstated it without missing an installment. It was during Duffy's ill-fated reign when the club wasn't engaging at all. Then we appointed Mathie and he did a Q&A and I was enthused (the irony isn't lost on me).
  11. For me if the club don't apologise for the sniffer dogs and the treatment of the young fan I'll be cancelling it. We have to take a stand and as a season ticket holder staying away doesn't influence the club financially. It is the only leverage I have. The only thing a guy like Mathie understands is money. That's a penny that only just dropped with me when watching the first two Q&As.
  12. Thanks mate. I'm not so bothered with them acknowledging my complaint directly. A face to face apology for the young fan and a statement to the wider support recognising the error should be sufficient. If they don't do so I'm cancelling my standing order to the AU500 club and would encourage other club members to do the same. All supporters should put a complaint in. We cannot allow this to go unchallenged.
  13. Could someone share the club email addresses? I have the slo one, is that enough? I've written a complaint about that incident with the hired goons and want to ensure its received.
  14. Given the significant numbers who left when the third went in I'm not sure. I boosted with about 1 minute of stoppage time left and the final whistle went as I reached the car. The collective Boo was inspired given the numbers left. Dunno how long it went on for.
  15. I'd honestly play Amarety at the top end. He's direct, strong and likes to run at players. Most centre halves at this level are strong and steady (Like McGinty/Aero) they don't like players running at them. Dowds & Amartey for me with Chalmers and Murphy out wide. I dunno what we do at the back though. We are going to struggle to win games with the defence and lack of cohesion in midfield. The second goal last night was typical, no-one challenged the guy as he just ran towards goal and shot from the edge of the box (that's how it looked from the SRE).
  16. Aye, Adeloye was always going to score against our defence. I was in the SRE and was laughing as he got booed on. It was a stick on that he would score against that lot. We are in tremendous trouble. The denial from the hierarchy and the sticking to the plan is a nonsense. If the plan is bad you change it: I mean that both in terms of how the team is setup and the recruitment. Bullen has no plan B and never has. He relied on an exceptional player in Dipo. That is now unarguable. He cannot influence a game either by changing tactics or by introducing players from the bench. Bryden for Rose? With Amartey rotting away because he doesn't run hard enough. Recruitment has been a shambles. These English jobbers aren't as cheap as some of our support think they are. We've spunked significant budget on signing these guys and puting them up in accommodation. Some of them don't even have a handful of senior appearances. We've not fixed the full back areas. If I hear one more time that McAllister gives his all I will implode. He's not good enough for this level. He epitomises Bullen's ethos "run around a lot and chuck yourself at everthing". Then we come to the utter contempt the fans are being treated by the hierarchy. We get three Q&As which are like the never ending fucking story. Telling us next to f**k all. After we've been shafted to pay more for games, subjected to a shambles of an instalment season ticket plans, terrible fucking highlights, now a rent a goon and sniffer dogs in the SRE. Enough is enough. This is our club and I am sick of being treated with contempt. If the club don't issue some sort of acknowledgement and apology for those goons I am cancelling my AU500 contribution. It is a disgrace to treat any fans like that.
  17. I dunno if I'm going to any more games at the minute... Bullen needs to go, he has no idea. Amartey consigned to the bench, obviously not running hard enough. Bryden brought on for Rose? That was the game over. Defence making the same mistakes over and over again. I've had enough. I hope he does the decent thing and steps down. Otherwise this will get messy.
  18. On the upside, for the first time in my life I bet against Ayr United... it hasn't really dulled the pain. I think I maybe jumped on this too late...
  19. Tick tock... who's got the not good enough bed sheet? It's an improvement on the Falkirk game but with McAllister at right back we'll not be winning many games!
  20. Good to see Moffat in the hub pre match. A reminder of happier times. Was going to ask him if he fancied a go in the dugout!
