  1. It applies to all immigrants entering the country without the proper documentation, as highlighted by my post above (quoting the then home secretary Theresa May). So not only "illegals". So again, what you are saying is incorrect.
  2. No need to be abusive, here was me thinking we could be friendly. Apparently not [emoji26]
  3. And yet takes the "Kincmiesters" word as gospel, well until it's proven to be the usual batshit comments. Delusional indeed.
  4. Or refugee's fleeing from warn torn countries, who perhaps didn't have time to pack their passports etc. You decide.
  5. Let's have a look at who created these"stupid phrases" In 2012, then Home Secretary Theresa May announced a policy strategy aimed at combatting 'illegal immigration' by making life so unbearable for undocumented migrants that they would voluntarily choose to leave. In May's own words: "The aim is to create, here in Britain, a really hostile environment for illegal immigrants". Whilst the concept of a ‘hostile environment’ had first been introduced in 2007 by then New Labour Immigration Minister Liam Byrne, 2012 saw the first systemic implementation of this strategy. Most basically, the policies aimed toward the 'Hostile Environment' intended to cut off undocumented migrants from access to any public services, including healthcare services. In addition, the government pushed to make working or renting a safe place to live impossible for migrants without adequate paperwork.
  6. Good list of fixtures tonight.
  7. It's calling out the hypocrisy that I have described as a joy. Labour and the Tories calling for a wage rise in Scotland many times over what they have given in jurisdictions they control. Not batting away calls for wage rises, as you describe. In Labours case, doubling the demand on child payments after what they originally requested was matched. This needs to be called out.
  8. Or a defensive line, as shown by the running stats for the Vikings in the first half
  9. Ok, last attempt. Britishness is not a force for good. Prove me wrong.
  10. I've not stated one way or the other whether Britishness is a force for good or not. It was you who made the statement. When challenged, you have refused/unable to reply. I'm merely trying to figure out if you're genuine,or a troll which I can then add to my ever expanding ignore list.
  11. Your original post. " Dare to suggest Britishness can be a force for good" I think when challenged, it is usual to give examples of this " force for good" Unless of course, as ST states, you can't.
  12. Kate Forbes raising this absolute hypocrisy, and that of Liz Smith with her comment about asking for the child payment grant to be raised, was a joy.
  13. Of all the councils in Scotland, BBC Scotland pick the Aberdeen city council leader for comments on the budget. Coincidence?
  14. Handy that he had to defend himself just outside his friends house and that it happened to have an an automatic weapon stored there. He's a lucky lad.
  15. Are you suggesting that someone who travelled 20 miles, with an automatic assault weapon only had it "just in case he had to defend himself" He went there for one reason, and defending himself wasn't it.
  16. If I remember correctly, have my doubts, a slip road (where the old one to the ice rink used to be) would be reinstated. The access road from behind the ice rink (where the crematorium is to be situated)would be upgraded. This would then make it a one way system, in from the Kingsway and out via Cupar Angus Rd. Not 100% sure if that was approved though, but fairly certain I seen drawings of this.
  17. One of my friends just had solar fitted (4kw) no storage batteries, cost him about £3k. The app that tracks it shows it produces about £ 3-5 per day, in summer, it's down to about £1-1.50 per day just now. ps watch the panels don't go over your tv ariel cable(if you have one). Causes chaos to the tv signal.
  18. I had hoped to get ground/air source to replace the ancient oil system that was in my house. When surveyed it was deemed that it would not be adequate, my house is an old stone type. I ended up getting biomass instead. This also gives me the RHI payment over 7 years. I was looking to do solar with storage batteries at the same time, but the added cost of the biomass boiler put the brakes on that.
  19. Not in the UK apparently https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/oct/30/shell-and-bp-paid-zero-tax-on-north-sea-gas-and-oil-for-three-years
  20. There's a reason for it. It buys privilege, simple as. https://www.statista.com/chart/18492/uk-top-jobs-dominated-by-privately-educated/
  21. Not saying it shouldn't be, but I've seen similar, if not worse, carried out by a running back. Just need a bit of consistency in face mask and illegal hands to the face penalties.
  22. If they're going to call that a face mask penalty, every "straight arm" by a running back will have to be called.
