  1. I'm not a fan of the TV show but listen to most of their podcasts and it gets mentioned a lot on there, which is of course entirely deserved. It's actually an area I do have a degree of sympathy for Farrell as well as presumably you'd want lovely, fast, attacking football and instead you're playing on Flanders fields. That's not absolving him of all blame in regards to team selection and tactics etc but it can't be something he's happy about either. It's also not cynical to criticise it or the plans for the plastic pitch as I feel I've made this point on plenty of occasions before, but where is there any shred of evidence that this will be delivered. We've had countless claims of things that are going to happen but won't in the past and there's very little to make me think this would be any different. It was a problem last year and the year before as well and yet here we are.
  2. Based on Stranraer I'm inclined to give this one a miss
  3. Cheer louder, support the lads etc But aye we're in a position where the manager, chairman and owner all need binned. So win the lottery would be my guess right now?
  4. It's pretty telling that if you'd offered me 5-0 at half time I'd have gladly accepted it. That was absolutely woeful stuff, Annan away levels of bad. Stranraer deserve the credit for just ripping as apart making that look far too easy
  5. Death, taxes and Farrell still being Dumbarton manager are the certainties of life
  6. Some of them aren't losers... They're just coming back from really serious injuries and may never be the same again. So there's that to look forward to.
  7. Durnan being available again is a massive boost although it'll be a few games before he's back up to speed again
  8. It's a very nice looking day here so I can't see what the issue would be.. is what I would say if we had any other pitch. But aye there's no problems here
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if we pulled a West Dunbartonshire Council stunt when they stopped cutting grass to "protect the natural ecosystem" for the level of pitch maintenance
  10. I can only echo the points above that if needs to step away for other reasons then so be it and glad he's done that rather than just be unavailable but pick up a wage for the next few months. However this squad is definitely weaker without him generally and we've got Ruth as our only actual striker option. This season has went full Faz.
  11. Fairly sure it was a fan in said group saying that after he waved to them or done a q&a or something like that
  12. Considering we've played Stenny, East Fife, Clyde, Forfar & Spartans (and Rangers which I'll exclude) for a team with promotion ambitions it's just not good enough, it's as simple as that. We've obviously got no divine right to win games but if you're talking about being a top 4 side you need to be winning these types of games. It's going from us not winning big games, to not winning any at this stage. As for the second point if you've got a redaction still due from the club statement then you could go for the club’s chairman and board have a ”currently stated position of acquiescence on matters of mediocrity”
  13. Just noticed it's been 3 months since our last home win
  14. Defending Farrell... You feeling alright?
  15. It's alarming how bad we actually are after new year and this is now the third year of it. If we'd had our form from January onwards last season across the whole season we'd have finished on 44 points. A much smaller sample size but this season we're less than a point a game since the new year.
