  1. "We will not pay a claim if your illness is directly or indirectly linked to acts of Stevie Farrell"
  2. I work in insurance and there's no probably about it. Footballers typically tend to be in the highest risk categories even just for life insurance, nevermind injuries etc.
  3. I was thinking he'd probably be quite useful in the Lowland League assuming he could stay fit. Which means he'll somehow end up signing for someone in league 1...
  4. Shiels leaving I understand as he wants a full time opportunity, shame to lose him but can't really stand in anyone's way if the clause was there. Byrne leaving also makes sense, started last season well and then it was just injuries all the time. I'm hoping someone does come in now as we've got Ruth as the only actual striker now short of wingers getting shoved in. Probably can get away with it for a game but not the rest of the season if Ruth is out for any length of time.
  5. I thought the police might have intervened when there were fireworks flying across the pitch. Eventually a couple of officers wandered over and stood near that corner of the ground and done nothing else as far as I could see. I don't think there was any trouble at the game at all that I could see outside of smoke bombs which seemed to be immediately chucked and basically just blocked the view for about 30 seconds
  6. Doesn't say on the website or signing announcement so I took that to be a 1 year deal but there's nothing definitive
  7. If you can make what's happening there's some highlights there. Broun doesn't cover himself in glory for the 4th to put it mildly
  8. That last part seems to sum up his time at Dumbarton as well. Started well and looked genuinely promising, then it seemed to just be completely diminishing returns as time went on before he ended up on loan to Open Goal Broomhill and out the door.
  9. It's cool we've got Ryan Blair!... Aye a left back is definitely needed
  10. Yeah it was definitely a clear sons majority in the home end was good.
  11. I'm just happy it didn't turn into the performance and result against Rangers B. We seemed to put an absolute shift in and as wasteful as Rangers were they were always going to get goals just through the number of chances. Overall it's a payday and we didn't make a complete arse of it. Hopefully Orsi is fine for league duty again as well
  12. Who is the sponsor and is it just for the game today out of interest?
  13. Yeah I'll be there and probably not be on speaking terms with the Mrs after
  14. Yeah the closer we've got to the game the more I've started to hate that we got this draw. I tried to read a certain Rangers forum just to get a sense of what team they might play etc. There's less weapons in Coulport. Get the game played, no injuries or suspensions and I'll be happy with that and then move on with our lives.
  15. MacLean seemingly taking a break from football. Just never really saw it consistently from him and fair enough if he wants to put work first I'd say.
  16. Farrell seems to have suggested we have one of the lowest budgets but I don't really buy that based on the players we've signed. I doubt we're the biggest spenders either for what it's worth. For your second point I agree completely, Long shouldn't really be at us for example, I always thought Tony Wallace would've had more options than us but he is the type of player that Faz has spoken about, a guy who just "gets it" at this level. We always seem to be able to attract players that seem like good additions to the squad but then after that is where the problems seem to happen. It's clear to me Farrell's day job definitely has it's uses in football, he seems to be able to bring good, or at least decent players to the club. He also managed to talk the board into not firing him but also giving him a new deal (says more about the board inability in my opinion but there's still a case there). I'm predicting he will be here at the end of the season but we can't keep going in this cycle of a good start, then collapse year after year. Unfortunately, I struggle to have faith that the board will take the action necessary.
  17. I was just expecting to see an injury time winner for Bonnyrigg to be honest to complete that disappointing feeling
  18. I had read your post before seeing the video and I was still surprised at how bad that was.
  19. Nah I had thought the same, we've either had a massive influx of season ticket holders or something else is going on. I can only assume the extra hospitality is also in the home end?
  20. Same one who got us relegated out of league 1 AND bottled it last season
  21. I was reminded of this after that result. "Nothing has been bottled on castle road since the last game where we did"
  22. If he mentions something about "good shape" I might genuinely lose it
  23. Clearly Newbury must be the answer, he goes off and we concede 3...
  24. Another signing is imminent, centre half please
