    The fee we got for him in the summer was quite a bit less than was offered in January. I understand why people are sceptical of how high the add ons could equate to but it really was imperative in making the deal happen.

    I've of course consigned the Raith Rovers cup game to the part of the brain which blocks traumatic memories. It probably depends on what Hearts team turns up as to how this game goes.

    Certainly from what I've seen of him, Mcmanus is best with a partner. For Hearts, I'd be very tempted to bench both Dow and Thomas. Neither have been at it for weeks. Gives others an opportunity to start (fraser murray, o'hara, banks) and hopefully gives Dow and Thomas a rocket up the jacksie.
