    Had this conversation with many people at the time, which I get to an extent.The problem is that if everybody goes with the attitude of "I'm going to buy in bulk because f**k getting caught out when everybody else is doing it" you get the same result. Its selfishness in its purest form.

    I've seldom been as angry as I was regarding the panic buying back in March, pathetic.

    I get what you're saying but you cant throw millions onto the scrapheap as entire industries shut down through no fault of anyones (so to speak, I'd be here all day if I started about Westminster and Holyrood's handling of the pandemic).

    Surely it will be some sort of furlough extension for those industries unable to open in a covid secure manner rather than a scheme which will enable facilities to close down which are currently open. Covering employees wages is only half the battle.

    It shouldn't be. Immediate threat to life outweighs social distancing and would be the same in an office, airport or supermarket.

    In the same boat, largely, as anybody else. Maybe an argument to be had that we shouldn't have signed the players we have with all this uncertainty around. I do genuinely think with the new investors we'll be in a better footing than others but I guess only time will tell.

    Regarding home deliveries from supermarkets, it is a costly operation on the whole but it's a way of keeping custom within that supermarket. Click and Collect is the same.

    Every person I've spoken to today regarding the restrictions feels that the trade off isnt worth it. It may be a selfish view but it's one that I'm now judging to be widely held. I think the percentage compliance will be a fraction of what it was in March and April.

    that's the point though IDB. It's a "hideous global pandemic" which has taken hold for at least 6 months across all parts of the globe. What this means is that we're now in a position to draw comparisons with other parts of the world in their handling of said pandemic. From that, it's clear to see that the politicians in this country (UK and Holyrood) have made a right c**t of it.

    In fairness, that rule only came in last Monday (7 days ago) so we're not at a stage just yet to see if that will have the desired effect with case numbers (I most definitely have ny doubts though).
