  1. I'm not for putting a positive spin on being in League 1 next season, Anybody who thinks it's better where we are is kidding themselves on. That being said, we are where we are. Dust ourselves down, go again and try our utmost to win it outright this coming season.
  2. It is what it is. Absolutely no point in greeting about it.
  3. I'd have have been happy with McShane signing for the pars, always looked tasty when I've seen him play.
  4. You've either got people backing this young team to the brim saying how great they are or the complete opposite you've got people panning them at every opportunity, slating them as shitebags not fit to wear the shirt. As is the case with most things in life, the reality is in the middle. They got to the youth cup final last year and were pretty narrowly beaten by a Celtic team with far more resources than us, also gave Sevco a good game on the last day of the league season. Another point is that in an ideal world you would be brooding youngsters alongside professionals with a little bit more about them than our senior pro's (the majority of whom are about 22,23 themselves). We've not got that luxury, unfortunately. That being said, they aren't exempt from criticism and this league seems like it can be a pretty steep learning curve. JJ doesn't get this transfer window right and it could be curtains as far as a title challenge goes.
  5. saw them in dundee tonight, fucking brilliant. best gig i've been too
  6. Be plying his trade at Humbug park next season, oor Pat is a hoor to fife.
  7. would take paterson and buchanan. would tell greg to shove her majesty's postal service up her hoop
  8. Am not for us going and signing the Moff if he is gonna skin us 700 sheets a week. good player that he is, this is exactly the way we end up going down another financial rocky road.
  9. That's the thing though Burty, after 2 seasons of being in the play offs in the spin and getting cuffed in each of them, where do you get the confidence that next season would be any different?
  10. Out of them all I'd like to keep the keeper, williamson, grainger (not happening), morris (not happening), page 9maybbe happening), Byrne (although he has been garbage recently), El Bak, Wllace and the rest can do what they like.
  11. got a ticket for dundee. really decent band, each album has got worse though as they've went along. pretty hard to beat the debut album though, was a topper.
  12. Cowden or Alloa will get cuffed by Forfar/Stenny/Stanraer/Ayr in the other semi.
  13. David Hay and nobody even comes close. Stephen Kenny and, to a lesser extent, Jimmy Mac had their moments but nobody has came close to that w**k. Took the best Dunfermline team in my lifetime and turned them to utter shite and was gone in less than a year. Kenny is a bit of an odd one for me. Gave us that great Scottish cup run, wins over Hibs, Dundee Utd, Motherwell & St Mirren in the league were also highlights in 06/07, the motherwell one especially. Performance in the cup final itself was brilliant as well. Fine margins like De Vries dropping the freekick over the line up at caley thistle and Hamill not tracking his man/defence switching off for Doumbe's goal in the cup final cost him dear. As for 07/08, the team that went down had rakes of talent (an astronomical combined wage I'll add too) which should have been enough to see us bounce straight back up. Think the first two games away at Accies and home to Morton showed that they weren't up for the fight. Kenny has been on record as saying that his instinct was to dismantle the aforementioned clique in the dressing room and start almost from scratch. Fine margins mate, fine margins.
  14. So many holes in what Easdale said this afternoon I don't even know where to begin.
  15. I'd rather play for the pars than india chicken farmers
  16. Wallace signed a new deal, Morris patched the offer we made him. Think he wants to see whats happening at the end of the season.
  17. Going to Newcastle Swansea on Saturday. Going down for the weekend for my mates 21st (massive newcastle fan, father is a geordie). Fucking raging though, Pards and the boys clearly popped off on their summer holidays weeks ago! Ah well, St James Park is a beautiful stadium and the atmosphere is usually decent. Howay the lads.
  18. Read that Faissal has been offered a new contract, hoping he puts pen to paper and that's coming from somebody who was well and truly off the El Bakhtaoui hype train at the start but i've been very impressed with him.
