  1. When did that open? I've been to the one in Covent Garden and the food was excellent. Also, it was very reasonably priced given that he's a well known chef and the restaurant is in Central London. 45 across the UK.
  2. My favourite chain is probably Yo Sushi although it can be a bit pricey depending on your appetite. A really good selection of sushi, noodle and rice dishes and the service is brilliant - just pick what you want off the conveyor or ask them to make one fresh if it's not there. I also like nandos and think the reason it splits opinion is because it's borderline between restaurant and fast food. I view as more of a fast food place as I've never waited more than 15 minutes for my main and normally get houmus as a warm up. For me, the worst is probably Frankie and Bennys. The food isn't bad but it's so overpriced for what it is. For what you would pay there, you could get a much better quality of meal elsewhere.
  3. I have a few Arsenal 'fans' like that on my Facebook. Gloryhunters that forgot about the glory. Also, those love hearts really annoy me. Sure fire sign of a Facebook mongo. "I can't actually use words to express how I'm feeling so I'll post a name with a love heart next to it."
  4. We should be aiming for maximum points from the 3 home games and of the away games, the only tricky ties look to be Livi and Morton. Anything can happen though. Here are County's fixtures for the same period: Partick (H) QoS (A) Morton (H) Livi (H) Raith (A) Ayr (H) Dundee (A) QoS (H) Hamilton (A) Pretty similar to ours. We both play Partick, Ayr and QoS at home and Hamilton and Raith away. We play Ayr twice whereas they play QoS twice and they have a game in hand which, for the purpose of comparison, is against Dundee.
  5. To be fair, from what I remember of her at school, the fact she managed to bake a potato is a minor miracle in itself.
  6. I can't stand people who post pictures of food they've cooked as if it's some sort of achievement. A girl on mine just posted a picture of a baked potato and salad. Aye, well done hen
  7. I've never understood "we are the people". What people are you? Aren't we all people??
  8. I remember seeing them in Rosies in Falkirk for a work Xmas night out a few years back. I'm sure there were four of them playing back to back and they had some live instruments. A brilliant night all round. They had a regular slot at City for awhile but it never really took off. Do they still do Stereofunk in Strathclyde Park? Always fancied going along but never had the chance. Brilliant tune. I've been to the Arches on Boxing day the last two years but wasn't that arsed about it this year. I like Dash Berlin but he's not someone I get that excited about. I would probably have enjoyed it if I was there. Can't believe that was your first time at the Arches!
  9. I find the tear-stained posts on my FB highly amusing. Of the OF fans I have, about 90% are Rangers - just the area I grew up in, not a conspiracy, honest! - so for that reason alone, a Celtic win is always quite enjoyable. I've had loads of posts about the disallowed goal but my favourite is this: 1) You deleted people because you can't take the stick but are quite happy to dish it out when "ra people" win. 2) If they're no longer in your news feed, they won't be able to see this status 3) Sobbing uncontrollably ^^^^^^
  10. FIFA 12 and a bottle of sailor jerry from my sister. Pleasing. Mainly money, vouchers, books and DVD's from the rest of my family. And a yearly tradition from my mum and dad. Beano annual
  11. I slept in so I've only really opened my stocking. Just the usual stuff in it like toiletries, socks, boxers and little gadgets. Does anyone else still get a stocking? I'm 23 and my mum still does them for all of us.
  12. Has anyone ordered from Toffs before? I ordered a top on the 18th and it still hasn't arrived. The status for it is currently, "Back ordered, no shipment set".
  13. I had Radio 1on the other day and they were doing some sort of competition to see who could get the most famous RT.
  14. I go to the Arches fairly regularly and have seen many of these in my time. That's first good description I've heard for it.
  15. In the song "Feed the World" I always used to have a chuckle at the line "there won't be snow Africa this Christmas". Turns out it does actually snow in certain parts of Africa and I was just being ignorant. Link.
  16. Some classics on that list. Was that Stevie Lennon of Stereofunk fame?
  17. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Swedish version) I watched this the other week and despite not having read the book, I could tell there were a few things missing from the storyline. Although I suppose that's to be expected when a book is condensed into a film. That aside, the storyline was intriguing, if a little dark at times. It'll be interesting to see how they've done the new version with Daniel Craig. And in particular, to see if they include the rape scenes which are pretty graphic in the original. (And was slightly awkward as I was watching it with my girlfriends parents and she had already gone to bed.) 8/10
  18. I've been drinking green tea for a few years now. I didn't like it a first but really got into the green tea with lemon and now I'll happily drink either. One to avoid is Tetleys green tea with honey. It's rank.
  19. I've not seen A&B in a couple of years so I'm considering going along. The thing that's putting me off slightly is the venue. If it was the Arches I'd be there in a heartbeat but I've never been to the Barrowlands before and I'm not really sure what to expect. I'm looking forward to Sander van Doorn and Gareth Emery in February much more. Colours Birthday.
  20. I heard Dubfire play this live at TITP last year. Belter of a tune.
  21. I'm already getting the New Year resolution posts in my news feed and one of the lads has already hit back with this belter of a post: Telt!
  22. It's like that bit in the Inbetweeners at the roller coaster. You shouldn't laugh but you can't help yourself.
