  1. I can't stand people who post pictures of food they've cooked as if it's some sort of achievement. A girl on mine just posted a picture of a baked potato and salad. Aye, well done hen
  2. I've never understood "we are the people". What people are you? Aren't we all people??
  3. I remember seeing them in Rosies in Falkirk for a work Xmas night out a few years back. I'm sure there were four of them playing back to back and they had some live instruments. A brilliant night all round. They had a regular slot at City for awhile but it never really took off. Do they still do Stereofunk in Strathclyde Park? Always fancied going along but never had the chance. Brilliant tune. I've been to the Arches on Boxing day the last two years but wasn't that arsed about it this year. I like Dash Berlin but he's not someone I get that excited about. I would probably have enjoyed it if I was there. Can't believe that was your first time at the Arches!
  4. I find the tear-stained posts on my FB highly amusing. Of the OF fans I have, about 90% are Rangers - just the area I grew up in, not a conspiracy, honest! - so for that reason alone, a Celtic win is always quite enjoyable. I've had loads of posts about the disallowed goal but my favourite is this: 1) You deleted people because you can't take the stick but are quite happy to dish it out when "ra people" win. 2) If they're no longer in your news feed, they won't be able to see this status 3) Sobbing uncontrollably ^^^^^^
  5. FIFA 12 and a bottle of sailor jerry from my sister. Pleasing. Mainly money, vouchers, books and DVD's from the rest of my family. And a yearly tradition from my mum and dad. Beano annual
  6. I slept in so I've only really opened my stocking. Just the usual stuff in it like toiletries, socks, boxers and little gadgets. Does anyone else still get a stocking? I'm 23 and my mum still does them for all of us.
  7. Has anyone ordered from Toffs before? I ordered a top on the 18th and it still hasn't arrived. The status for it is currently, "Back ordered, no shipment set".
  8. I had Radio 1on the other day and they were doing some sort of competition to see who could get the most famous RT.
  9. I go to the Arches fairly regularly and have seen many of these in my time. That's first good description I've heard for it.
  10. In the song "Feed the World" I always used to have a chuckle at the line "there won't be snow Africa this Christmas". Turns out it does actually snow in certain parts of Africa and I was just being ignorant. Link.
  11. Some classics on that list. Was that Stevie Lennon of Stereofunk fame?
  12. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Swedish version) I watched this the other week and despite not having read the book, I could tell there were a few things missing from the storyline. Although I suppose that's to be expected when a book is condensed into a film. That aside, the storyline was intriguing, if a little dark at times. It'll be interesting to see how they've done the new version with Daniel Craig. And in particular, to see if they include the rape scenes which are pretty graphic in the original. (And was slightly awkward as I was watching it with my girlfriends parents and she had already gone to bed.) 8/10
  13. I've been drinking green tea for a few years now. I didn't like it a first but really got into the green tea with lemon and now I'll happily drink either. One to avoid is Tetleys green tea with honey. It's rank.
  14. I've not seen A&B in a couple of years so I'm considering going along. The thing that's putting me off slightly is the venue. If it was the Arches I'd be there in a heartbeat but I've never been to the Barrowlands before and I'm not really sure what to expect. I'm looking forward to Sander van Doorn and Gareth Emery in February much more. Colours Birthday.
  15. I heard Dubfire play this live at TITP last year. Belter of a tune.
  16. I'm already getting the New Year resolution posts in my news feed and one of the lads has already hit back with this belter of a post: Telt!
  17. It's like that bit in the Inbetweeners at the roller coaster. You shouldn't laugh but you can't help yourself.
  18. To all the unselfish mums out there who traded sleep for dark circles, salon haircuts for a ponytail, long baths for quick showers, late nights for early mornings, and designer bags for nappy bags and who wouldn't change a thing. Let's see how many mums post this who don't care what they gave up and instead, LOVE what they got in return Post if you LOVE being a MUM ♥ Ellie Mummy ♥'s You
  19. That guy reminds me of Cousin It from the Adams Family.
  20. 1. I'm 23 and have never voted. I didn't used to find politics that interesting and I'm not really sure how to choose a party. 2. I've recently developed an obsession with cooking and cookery programmes. Can't get enough of Saturday Kitchen, River Cottage and Jamie's Great Britain. 3. I cried at the 1997 Scottish Cup Final. I was only 9 at the time and I'm not ashamed about it. 4. I've got a degree in Maths but my mental arithmetic isn't that great. I've developed a lazy habit of reaching for the calculator or using Excel. 5. I've never met anyone particularly famous. Although I have seen Michelle Moan, Glenn Hoddle, Jeremy Beedle and the Chelsea squad in various airports.
  21. He lasted over an hour with the pig. Great performance.
  22. Just deleted a lad for posting about 6 Ed Sheeran songs in a row along with cringey comments like "so inspirational" and "every song has a meaning, not like the usual chart shite".
