    Tell me ?

How many boys have played for the Foundation or Falkirk in the Community as was and actually kicked a ball for the first team. I’m struggling to think of one. Not talking about Academy here.

The Foundation and Falkirk in the Community as was were a cash cow.
I bought tickets once online to a Falkirk v Hibs pre season match and the card payment went to Falkirk Foundation I wonder the reasoning for that ?

Another one not actually reading about the work of the Foundation. Sigh.

Swinney has been far better than the clown Campbell that's for sure and he is an employer not a board member.  Wright wasnt much involved that night and isn't exactly a main man on the current board either.  The board and Swinney are doing a tremendous job just now. Revenue at new record levels team the best it's been for a while long may it continue.

But you're fine with them attacking a charity that has consistently preformed well not just this season? How very weird.

The current bod has absolutely feck all to do with what happened with crawf and Sarah or the Denis canavan stuff. It's got feck all to do with the inchyra shambles too. That's history and to try and connect it to the guys running the club just now is just nonsense. As a matter of interest how many Falkirk players have come through the foundation in recent years?

Go and watch the Inchyra video. Gordon Wright and Jamie Swinney are literally sat there. They all agreed to come out swinging at their own fans that night and now they're swinging punches at a charity. How professional. They must make you feel proud.

I seem to remember that the person who destroyed the clubs academy came from the foundation should we blame everyone in position now at the foundation for his almighty cockup.

Oh, it was just that person was it? Is that what your mates on the Board have told you? Lol

Over the years numerous from the lee millers and mark kerrs to the boys we have now.  I always thought the foundation was always about getting kids playing football it was you that said they were producing Falkirk players of the future which is why I asked that question.

That Academy died when it became a clique and when the Board in that era made another crap decision to scrap it. The Foundation is about many things which includes getting kids playing football, getting them off the streets and allowing them to make friends and have experiences they might never have. Clearly this upsets the Board. Clowns.

I see you didn't actually bother to read my post. You also have no clue what the Foundation exists to achieve. How many have come through the Academy whose job it literally is by the way?

  7. Wow, so many 'experts' on the Foundation on here.  I jest of course.  I've never read so much pish in all my life.  Perhaps you've forgotten the mistakes the club made previously when they were scrambling around for cash?  Canavan quits top job with Bairns' charity (falkirkherald.co.uk)

You seem to have forgotten how they treated Sarah and the Junior Bairns for well over a decade too.

Perhaps start questioning why the Board would attack a charity that exists to essentially recruit the next generations of Bairns players and supporters.  Numerous Board members have made ridiculous errors in judgement in the last few years.  That's a statement not a question.

You're lashing out at the wrong people.  The failings are elsewhere, even if they are your mates.  It's a pity the FSS are so very quiet about this seeing as they're meant to be the voice of the fans on the Board. 🐑 Baaaa.

  8. 'The pursuit of happyness' - utter garbage!

Had they somehow included the part about the blokes early years where his father beat him and his mother, his mother killed his father after years of abuse and his uncle raped him as a child perhaps you'd have been a tad more understanding whilst watching said movie ;)

  9. What a day I had yesterday!

Got up and we decided we needed a new sofa for our new house, so we were going to go to Aberdeen to Land of Leather, DFS etc for a look. About to get into Ryan's car and I said, we should take my car, I've got a full tank of petrol. So we get in my car, and the heating wasn't working properly, which was a bit strange. I fiddled about with it a bit and eventually it seemed to work ok. So we're driving along the road, and about 20 miles from Aberdeen this awful rattle starts up, and the boy behind me flashed his lights. I pulled off into a wee lane off the road and look under the car and there's something hanging off that must have been dragging along the ground and causing sparks. So, thinking it was my exhaust, I phoned the RAC and they came out. Turns out it was just the heat shield, which the guy pulled off and chucked into my boot and said it wouldn't affect the car. Fine. So we start off again, everything's going fine, 5 miles along the road I notice my temperature gauge is high as it gets. So I pull over to the side of the dual carriageway and pop the bonnet and there's steam everywhere! Then the police pull up behind me with flashing blue lights and I'm thinking, I hope Grandad doesn't drive past and see me with the police! Anyway, I told them what had happened and they said they were off to do a job but if I was still there when they get back, they'd give me a hand (what was wrong with giving me a hand there and then?). Anyway, I always carry a bottle of water in the boot, so I opened up the radiator and put the water into it. I let the engine cool down and started it up again. It seemed to be ok, but as soon as I started revving it up, the temperature shot up again. :( So for the second time in an hour, I phone the RAC. The boy came out and decided I need a new radiator, filled it up with more water and put some radweld into it to fill up wherever the water was leaking from, and the temperature managed to stay fairly regular for half an hour, so he told us to go home, take it easy and once we got home, drain the radiator, because there's no anti-freeze in it and the last thing I need is a frozen engine on top of a new radiator! We got home eventually, mucho pissed off, and we've still got no sofa!

So now trying to get a hold of a new radiator, but it's turning into a nightmare, because Dingbro can't decide what one it is, despite having the chassis number etc. GRRR!

Ah well, if you didnae laugh, you'd greet.

The moral of the story is don't go attempting to waste money on Sofas you don't need just because you're off work and bored! ;):P

  10. Drumchapel neds and teenage sons. <_<

Two drugged-up crazies on the station platform last night threatening some couple with a screwdriver for being 'grasses'. I put Mrs Kilt on the train, thinking they had gone, but they jumped on at the last minute. I contact the passenger assistance line and they say they'll call the polis. Mrs Kilt phones me 10 minutes later to say she's OK but they mugged some guy, nicked his wallet and legged it off the train at Westerton. Had me feckin worried about her safety for a while though! :(

Then I get a phone call later on from Mrs Kilt saying our teenage son hasn't come back to her house. Turns out he's stopped off at her new flat and wants to stay the night there, states he can't get back to Mrs Kilt's house because he hasn't got the bus fare but if his sister drops his uniform off at school on Monday, he'll get changed there! :o Cue Mrs kilt's frantic phone call to me to sort it out, who then has to trail off to Whiteinch to collar the young reprobate and haul him off to his mother's gaff in Parkhead. Finally got back at 11:30 last night and overslept this morning, being 2 hours late for work! <_<

    Not happy!<_<:(

    I'm sure they coped :P
