  1. Wind turned that into a bit of a lottery. Not a great spectacle but the 3 points is all that matters. Hope the photographer that fell down the stairs in the railway stand is ok. Oh, and I bloody love Ross Matthews.
  2. What I least look forward to about games against Ayr is the horrific “Err, err, super Err” chant, inevitably followed by the “Ayr, Ayr, f**k yer Ayr” retort. Terrible.
  3. f**k off with this negative pish man. Playoffs if we’re lucky? It’s mathematically impossible for us to finish outside the top four. Dunfermline in 5th can’t catch us, but due to having a game in hand Morton in 6th can. But for them to overtake us they need to win all their games. They play Airdrie on Saturday and if Morton beat them (which they need to do to finish above us) Airdrie can no longer catch us. Which means we’ll be fourth as a minimum. We may not win the league but get behind the boys so we can be in a positive mood and good form going into the playoffs.
  4. I don’t think anybody has tried to claim the bottle throwing was justified and I don’t even think anyone has complained about the United players celebrating in front of us. We know we dish it out so we’ve got to suck it up.
  5. It’s clearly not United- without the wins against them we’d be well off the pace. I’m not even mad about the Airdrie games, at least they’re a decent side who have worked out how to play us. It’s the two implosions against Arbroath that may have torpedoed our title challenge. If we held on and won both of those games 2-0 we’d be level on points with a game in hand right now. That’s where the damage was done. I’ve been having a look at what we can expect from us and United over the rest of the season. United have 5 games left. Their best run over 5 games this season is 4 wins and a draw. We have 6 games left. Our best run over 6 games this season is 5 wins and a draw. That suggests that unless one of us hits our best form of the season right now, there will be more points dropped by both teams. United definitely favourites but it’s not over yet.
  6. Football fans are hilarious. “I’ve seen the slow-motion video evidence which contradicts my memory of the incident but I’m going to ignore that in favour of my own recollection of seeing it once in real-time from 100 yards away”. And how you can say there should be a foul to United at the Moult booking is beyond me. No complaints with the result though, and maybe United did me a favour by making it impossible to get a ticket. Baffling midfield team selection from Murray and Goodwin got the game plan spot on. United now heavy favourites to win the league if they play the rest of the season with that sort of desire and intensity. Important for us to pick ourselves up and get on a good run of form to take advantage of any slip ups by United, or at least go into the playoffs full of confidence.
  7. I must be the 1% then 'cos I'm bricking it. All three games so far have been tight, no reason to think this will be any different. Just hoping we continue to get the fine margins.
  8. If that was better then I dread to think how bad the previous one was. Spence mumbled his way through a load of half sentences that he couldn’t be bothered to finish. None of them could remember the score in the game at Tannadice without looking it up and they had an argument about who’s hands the title was in before settling on the fact that it’s in Raiths hands, not Uniteds, completely overlooking the fact that at the moment it is still in the hands of both teams as if either win all their games they’ll win the league. They also mentioned several times about Barrowman putting out cheeky tweets when we all know it’s the clubs Social media, not the personal account of a director. 1/10, would not recommend.
  9. £80 isn't too bad for a 3 course meal plus a few drinks chucked in these days is it?
  10. Do we have to go through this AGAIN? I'm paraphrasing the statement from Barrowman a bit (which came out before your Chairman spouted his corporate bullshit bingo to the press), but it essentially said "United have given us a bullshit excuse, they can spout that if they want to". Why should the onus be on Raith to tell everyone Dundee United's reasoning?
  11. Missed opportunity there- we could have take the 600 seats up to Tannadice…..
  12. Because the shit housing we’ve done is a bit of winding up on social media. I expect when Barrowman stated we need to be willing to take it back he meant winding us up on social media also (like Livi did after they knocked us out the cup). Locking out fans who want to see the game while not releasing a transparent reason for it doesn’t feel like appropriate tit-for-tat for a video of a slide tackle.
  13. It’s been said many times before but if the reason is that the police requested it, why did United not just come out and say that instead of the ‘operational reasons’ bollocks? Would have saved a hell of a lot of hassle.
  14. Yeah I think you’ll find the reason none of us had a clue who you were on about is because he’s not had a go at anyone other than United for their petty ticket allocation. I don’t pretend to know who is responsible for what but our new board (of which Barrowman is a member) have done a fantastic job since coming in 9months ago.
  15. Thats a good point. A lot of the time it is easier to chase than to try to hold on to something. Rovers so far have performed better when chasing than when we’ve been top.
  16. I was in there at the last game and thought I was the only Rovers fan in there
  17. I hope that’s not an attempt to intimate that the Police limited the total amount of tickets United could sell. Because that sounds ludicrous. If the police are happy with 3400 tickets going to Falkirk fans at Montrose I can’t think of any logical reason they are the ones telling United to knock 600 off the allocation they safely hosted 3 months ago.
  18. I think the timing is the issue this season. Would have been better waiting until you knew what league you were going to be in next year. If you’re in the Premier then freezing at the same rate as Premier tickets from 2 seasons ago is pretty good. If you’re in the Championship then freezing at the same rate as Premier tickets from 2 years ago isn’t so great. To be fair your tickets prices aren’t too bad, even for the Championship but it just seems like the board aren’t very good at marketing by putting them out right now and not being able to put any sort of positive spin on keeping the prices the same. Also, do other clubs put next seasons tickets on sale in March!? It seems awful early!
  19. That seems like far more than two years ago. And John Frederiksen was here just a year ago. We shouldn’t forget how far we’ve come recently.
  20. You are right to be fair, there isn’t really a seaside league anymore. League one only has two sea-side-ish teams. This was a proper seaside league with all four Angus clubs, us, East Fife, Stranraer and Dumbarton all being sea-sidey
  21. My memories of Ayr winning it are not so great….. Winning the Seaside league is great, playing in it for the other 35 matches of the season is not so great.
  22. Anyone else keep going online in the vague hope that there will be an announcement saying we’re getting more tickets? Probably more chance of us signing Tony Watt but I keep checking just in case….
