The whole Transnistria thing reminds me of early in the conflict when there were reports Belarus was about to enter the fight. Then f**k all happened. In my completely ignorant opinion, I doubt much will happen there until Russia figures out to get their troops there either via air or land bridge - which seems a ways away yet.

It’s been a very poor performance from Scotland. England have taken the game to us and we’ve not had any sort of response. Not looked after the ball at all during our very brief forays into the England half.

My heartfelt thanks from this Raith Rovers fan abroad. You guys especially deserved much better considering the time, effort and sacrifice you put into the RaithTV streaming service. It really was top notch and you should be very proud. I looked forward to it every other Saturday morning.

Not sure what I expected really. I guess I had hoped there’d be a thin sliver of moral decency left at the club and they’d admit this was a horrendous f**k up. I was wrong. We’re morally bankrupt. Sickening.

Think i’m still in the denial stage of the grieving process. I keeping thinking “nah, there has to be some mistake.. they surely never paid actual MONEY to sign David Goodwillie?? Rovers wouldn’t do that, that’s mental!” If McGlynn pushed to sign him in the first place then I don’t see how he can also continue at the club. A colossal error in judgement.

I feel like i’ve stumbled into the fucking twilight zone, like this is a somehow all a really shitty joke or something.. I’m just bewildered that the club thought this was okay. There’s just some players you don’t go near with a 10ft barge pole. Ever. DG is one of those. No matter how good a player he still is, how much time has passed or how many of his former teammates say he’s a “good lad”. I don’t give a f**k if he’s going to end up our all time top goalscorer. Any success that comes our way with Goodwillie in the side would leave a very bad taste in my mouth. It’s about basic fucking decency towards victims of rape and sexual assault in our society. Something many are failing (deliberately or otherwise) to grasp. The message this sends from a supposed family friendly and community football club is shameful. Beyond gutted with the club, chairman and manager with this signing. Just as things were starting to go well on and off the park. A cataclysmic disaster.

Lucky to escape that with a point in tough conditions. Second half was one way traffic and Morton will feel hard done by with the chances they created and the fairly obvious handball by Bene. Strapp MOTM overall for me, with MacDonald and Stanton the best of our lot.
