The writing was on the wall after we all saw the team selection before kick off, but doubt many of us thought it would be that bad. Even putting aside Musonda and Matthews’ injuries, the slow collapse from the team has been concerning, starting with the draw at home to Arbroath. Overall though, the season has been a success, and it’s not over quite yet. On current form and past playoff records I don’t even see making it past the Pars. After getting promoted, finishing third should feel pretty good but right now it disnae.

In true Scotland tradition we’re handing Ireland the game with our indiscipline. Our try was Wales level lucky as well.

This is true, however they’ve also been very clinical and taken their chances. I’d like to see their tries scored vs time spent in the opponents 22 compared to the other sides.

Nah. Alloa worked hard and defended well until we got our goal, then it all fell apart for them. We made life difficult for ourselves with poor touches and final balls, but dominated possession especially in the second half. Armstrong in particular being particularly guilty of a lovely bit of skill/turning his man and winning the free kick, but then immediately putting the ball straight out of play.. Rovers stuck to the task and dug out the result though which given recent form is encouraging to see.
