Did not expect Leeds to stick three past Leicester.

Anything could happen, we could score 3 away from home or concede 4 in the 1st half, must be a nightmare for the lads setting the odds.

Before lockdown kicked in, Leeds were on a run of 5 wins on the bounce heading into the final 9 games of the season. They won the league by 10 points and were automatically promoted by 12.
To say that they wouldn't have achieved this without the lockdown break is just lazy journalism based on previous assertions that Bielsa's teams tire out. They simply didn't look like doing so before lockdown.

They'd won five out of six by that stage the season before though, so it's not much of an indication that they wouldn't collapse.

We're kind of going down the if "my Aunt had b*lls she'd be my Uncle" route here.

If your logic prevails there wouldn't be much point in playing future seasons games, we should just accept what ever happened in the previous season will happen again the following season.

LUFC's form was great pre lockdown & great post lockdown.

Not sure if you watched the games on the run into the lockdown but they weren't showing signs of flagging / fatigue, on the contrary I felt they were on fire imo (played, 5, won 5, conceded 0). For me the games couldn't come fast enough & I'd say the pretty universally feeling was let's crack on while the going is good amongst the Leeds fans I know.

They're coming across as pretty thin-skinned, crying their eyes out every time someone says anything that is less than adulatory.

I have some sympathy with that comment,  maybe it's a generational thing but I just don't see the need for the club to get involved in a public twitter row.  I'm not on twitter myself but have seen a few posts from the club which I think shouldn't have been made.  I'd suggest that who ever is in charge of the social media account needs taking to task but I'm aware others would view me as a digital dinosaur.

Leeds have long been on the receiving end when it comes to negative comments, some warranted, some unwarranted,  if anybody involved with the club isn't able to tolerate the inevitable slings and arrows that will be incoming then Leeds isn't the club for them

See when your central midfielder has the ball deep, and the fans can see he is getting ever more raging that theres no runner anywhere for him.... That never happens to this Leeds team does it

I've been watching Leeds since the 80's, I'd have to think very hard to try and come up with  Leeds sides that are more pleasing on the eye.

No booking for Mings for pulling Bamford up by the shirt then shoving him away. Nonsense

I realise this makes me a football dinasaur but I'd say a case of something and nothing.

Bamford's 3rd there looked pretty decent so he seems to have recovered ok.

Okay, make it simple for me. Re your comment below which leagues do you feel are important and  what criteria do you use to determine they are?

If that question demonstrates I'm having a "woosh" episode feel free to explain why, don't be frightened you'll embarrass me, I've got a pretty thick skin.

It has been a competitve, entertaining league.

What criteria applies for leagues to be considered important in your opinion?

Is it the case that this league is unimportant to you for no other reason than you have no affiliation to any of the teams that play in it?

Case report is actually shocking.  The EFL was writing out to clubs telling them that Birmingham City were being told to sell players in the January window (which depressed the price) - at the same time as they were telling Wednesday to backdate a ground sale so they would not fail.

    It's the epitome of bias.

Their credability with me evaporated the moment they elected to give Shaun Harvey the top job.

    Bielsa is the difference maker.

Wish he was given a chance at a truly big club tbh!

I don't think he wanted too, tbh.

I'm pretty sure @RandomGuy has hit the nail on the head here,  I really don't think he'd see success at Real Madrid, Juventus, Barcelona etc as a worthy enterprise, I doubt  he sees winning something with those clubs as a real achievment.

As othesr have said here he isn't renowned for long spells in club management and we should just enjoy him whilst he's here. I do question how practical it is for him to sustain the level of work he puts in long term,  inevitably he'll move on and we''ll beome Bielsa widows

Scrappy second half from Leeds, thought Barnsley played pretty well and were unlucky not to take something from the game.

I think it’s safe to say they’re back now. Would like to see Brentford go up with them.

We didn't take a point from the final 4 fixtures last season, Leeds are capable of anything.

Agree with your comment DrewDon re Kiko.

Am I missing some joke, are they seriously running to the stands holding their hands to there ears or is it some wizard jape. Just when you think pro footballers can't get any more cringeworthy.

I've seen enough of Alioski to be confident that he isn't the full shilling.

👏Kings of the cardboard cut outs. I want mine to be removed to the bar on 38th minute.

Even then you're in danger of not getting a pint before the 2nd half starts. I watched the videos of Spurs new stadium and bars with envy, to be fair populating our own bars with staff familiar with UK currency would be a step forward at least.

Watching the last episode of the Prime documentary and I can't get over how infuriating that Aston Villa incident is. Leeds under no obligation to stop a promising attack, the boy clearly isn't injured and John Terry has the most smackable face going.

The maddest thing I've ever witnessed at a match, I suspect Amazon edited the footage but at the game itself  the whole episode seemed to go on for ages.

Roberts made a half hearted attempt at kicking the ball into touch but it was picked up by Klich, you can see him thinking "it could be 20 yards or 30 yards"  just before chaos ensued.

The game was a dead rubber for Leeds.

It would probably be a minibus full. Yeah I might do that - managed to get out a Millwall away end once, Charlton should be a piece of piss. :unsure2:

If Leeds make it town will be a good night out that's for sure, all the best with the tickets & enjoy the weekend in Leeds.

Looks like a weekend in Leeds with no games then. Was going to re-arrange dates but there's no way would get the number of tickets required.

    Thanks though @repeat_offender

    How many do you need?

How do you feel about sitting in the away end? If that seems ok for you why not get in touch with Charlton and see if you can buy tickets through them.

  16. 13 minutes ago, Dele said:

    Evening, chaps.

When are the play off set for dates wise? I can only find the date for the final.

Failing that, what do you reckon the chances are of getting tickets for final game of the season - Charlton - at home are

Not sure if you are a member or not?  I'd suggest it's certain that tickets for this game won't go on general sale & I doubt they would get past ticket sales to gold members.

Might be some corporate tickets for the game but that won't be cheap.
