  1. If true, that is absolutely astonishing. All these QP fans will have you believing that this is the start of some enterprising Southside Central community good-doing powerhouse, but instead we're seeing 125k splashed on a single player as they stumble along in *checks notes* fourth place in *checks notes* "cinch League One". Laughable fair all round.
  2. If only Clydebank could "absolutely stroll" every week against the glorified social clubs in the joke of a league they currently occupy, maybe historic days like playing Clyde would come around more often. As it is, they have little to no chance of promotion, and you have to seriously question the professionalism of their players. The squad is obviously more than good enough to compete three levels above, so it's a disgrace that they're some way off the pace Auchinleck and Pollok are setting.
  3. That's where the frustration bites so hard. Look at what he's managing to eke out of this lot. Just imagine where he could take us with better squad building. Well done to the lads again today, for all Falkirk are absolutely hopeless they've given us a couple of doings so far this season and we were missing some big players. Fair play as well to big Rob Jones who seems to have turned a bit of a corner recently. Hopefully Goodwillie's absence is just a one-off.

Behave, ladies. Though I would say that you can't really expect to get good rewards at all from Rank 3, which is attainable by losing more games than you win. I've had about 30 red picks this year, finished Rank 1 the vast majority of weekends and only this week did I get a pick which was either properly useable or over 86 rated - Bernardo Silva, who doesn't fit my team at all. The best rating I've had from ultimate packs in rewards is a fodder 86 as well, Skriniar I believe. Don't even have a Roberto Carlos to console myself with either
  5. Big win, that. Sounds as though we rode our luck a bit at times but well done to the lads and the fans who travelled through. The writing must be on the wall for Ferguson now surely? Given the chasmic disparity in quality between the two squads, it's absolutely shocking that he's amassed the same amount of points as Clyde. Lennon has almost certainly earned himself January with this result, so let's just hope and pray for a complete reversal of our last two years of recruitment.
  6. The good news is that Danny has signed a nice, deep, competitive squad and we can now see what *checks notes* our third choice left-back, Deveney, can bring
  7. Are we really going to give this guy January as well? He's got to go now, so we can give whoever is next some time to assess where we are most urgently in need of some non-jobbers. Don't think there's a single Clyde fan who has a modicum of remaining trust that he will make a good signing at any point.
  8. QP fans - who couldn't be arsed going to the game today - all over Twitter calling for their manager's head, despite their team being right in the mix for promotion. Deary me.
  9. Cunningham single-handedly sending the Mob from Methil back where they belong. Pleasing.
  10. I thought Quitongo was popular among QP fans?
  11. Dumbarton - jobbers. Clyde - even worse jobbers. Draw probably the fair result, given Dumbarton couldn't score from open play against that utter shanner of a team we've got. Would be surprised if both weren't jouking it out at the bottom as the season wears on, to be honest. Stormed to the pisser en route out after Dumbarton's goal and typically missed the equaliser, to cap off a dreadful afternoon's action.

If you wait a few weeks until Black Friday there should be a huge market crash which will affect Kimpembe quite a lot, I imagine he'll come down by at least half. Even at his current price he's great value though and will be in my team for a while I reckon, especially as he's first owner untradeable. I'd steer clear of the Dante card as Marquinhos is just as good, has better links and is tradeable. Instead of Fofana, which'll set you back a good amount, I'd have a look at that Ripart card as a CM (with the right chem style, a very good budget option vs Fofana who's a bit overpriced). Having used both in draft, Amavi and Traore are really good for their respective prices. I'd recommend upgrading Pereira to Ripart, that's probably the most influential swap you can make at the moment and it's within budget. Seasons milestone rewards will be dished out when this season ends, which is next Thursday.

I would punt him and get Tchouameni’s in-form, personally. He's not quite on the same level defensively but his size compensates for that quite well and he's less than 10% of the price. You may well curse not selling Kante as he trickles down to fodder value over the coming months.
  14. Let's be realistic here, we'd probably need Watson to phone him.

Against my better judgement I piled back in for more WL torture this weekend, but it was actually a pretty straightforward and very quick one. Controlled every single game and only a few vintage incidences of BS denied me a perfect record; only lost two games before I reached Rank 1, then was given a win and gave one to someone else. Piss poor rewards again but it's all #MoneyInTheBank I suppose. Anyone who likes to play on the front foot, I'd strongly recommend trying out the narrow diamond formation with high depth. Kind of depends on the personnel you have available but I couldn't say no to Fekir and am playing him as an attacking centre mid, a role in which he's registered 13G and 5A from 26 games (all WL/Elite division). Elsewhere, my long-term investment in Theo Hernandez's IF has taken a total bodying in the last week so I'm thinking about just cashing out and replacing him with that new Jordan Amavi card, which is very similar and less than a fifth of the price.
  16. They've had three months now to "fix" the catalogue of glaring tactics, selection and personnel-based sins that were evident to many Clyde fans as soon as we were allowed back in a stadium. There's been little evidence of much changing and Danny's post-match comments are extremely familiar and foreboding; he's all out of ideas, because he's tied his own hands behind his back with utterly risible recruitment. This is, indeed, true, but this is not an isolated tough patch and is quite clearly the culmination and continuation of a two-and-a-half-year decline which commenced with the dire signings ahead of our League One campaign, all of whom barely featured and were emptied after varying degrees and durations of participation. David Mitchell was, of course, the exception to this, but his signing was handled by Chris Fahey and not Lennon himself. Supporting Danny evidently isn't going to make things any better as, with the goodwill and trust of Clyde fans, he's managed to get us into this position. A change now is a risk, but it is also a massive risk to bank on a guy who has overseen such sustained regression. A new face with new ideas, and who can actually spot/sign a player, might represent a better chance at stirring the club from its current sleepwalk to relegation. We all know how hard it was to get out of it the first time, and it's only getting harder. This, also, is very interesting. Nobody among us will deny that Lennon did an absolutely outstanding job in his first year and a half at the club, and for that - alongside his personal character - he will always be someone held in the utmost respect by Clyde fans. He galvanised the club when it was in an extremely toxic condition and teetering on the edge, and I personally will never forget the pleasure that it was to behold the transformation in the second half of that first season. The recruitment was youthful and exciting, he transformed players who were already at the club and forged both new and existing players into a system which brought the apex of playing style that PT Scottish teams can hope for. He followed this up with his first real mixed bag of signings when it mattered, albeit he did to his credit bring in Rankin and retain the majority of those who were so impressive in 17/18. We all know what happened the next season and despite initial struggles, which largely stemmed from shoehorning Nicoll into the team at times and not trusting Grant/McStay as a pair, it was a brilliant season which resulted in a thoroughly merited promotion. Then the problems started. The recruitment of Johnston, Wallace and Smith - the former in particular - actually looked alright, but it became clear pretty evident early on that the latter pair were brought in without any discernible plan around how to fit them in. I think he was a bit unlucky with Johnston who was the most exciting of the three, but all in hindsight were very much Cameron Jerome type players who shone at the lower level and couldn't make the step up (in Smith's case, it was probably just a bit late for him). Grant and McStay grew into things, as we all knew they would, and the big regret is that we've never been able to carry out similar recruitment since. Every possible effort should've been made to retain both of them and make them the heart of our team for as long as possible. Decent loan signings in January fixed papered over massive holes that existed in the squad as a result of poor and sentimental recruitment, and we picked up a bit before Covid after a bit of a disappointing first half of the campaign. Despite this slight upturn we then assembled another squad which was a downgrade on the one before it, filled out with masses of kids on loan throughout the season (a few of which finally came good or good-ish and helped us to safety). I don't think anyone could complain too much had we been relegated last season though, because much of the fair was garbage and we were second best in most games. Optimism was then renewed ahead of this season, with hopes that last year's awful recruitment was indeed Covid-related (even though many suspected it really wasn't). It soon became evident that it wasn't. As a result, we've been left with an absolutely hopeless squad which absolutely nobody could achieve well at this level with. As I've sort of touched on above, you won't find anyone arguing with that. He's the kind of guy who, if he either departs honourably or somehow turns this around and leaves further down the line, would be welcomed back to the club with the warmest of receptions any time he visited. The problem is that this pattern of incompetence, primarily in the non-coaching side of management, has eroded the implicit trust that many fans had in him completely. This is, of course, complete nonsense and utterly desperate stuff. Cowdenbeath were relegated because Lennon had worked miracles there, inevitably moved on and then had the better players in their squad emptied, being left with the lowest budget in the second-tier and having to replace probably their best-ever manager. They were massive favourites to struggle. In the case of St. Mirren, it was their decision to replace Lennon with Tommy Craig (a manager about whom Saints fans have almost nothing positive to say) that paid for them. Interestingly, you fail to mention his stint at Alloa which is basically exactly what has happened here but in a fraction of the timespan; massive initial improvement, better football, development of existing players and then horrific recruitment leading to a gargantuan struggle. It genuinely hurts to say it, but this story is going to have to end the same way if we're to have any chance of maintaining our League One status from here.

Should've seen my Elite division red pick. 81 rated Philadelphia Union keeper.
  18. That was tear gas to behold but to complain too much about it would be ridiculous - you only have to look at the fact that Denmark, a significantly better side than us, could only manage a breakthrough very late on to realise that the Faroes are very good at frustrating teams, particularly at home. They're also not the complete minnows they were back in 2002 etc, either.

Finished with 17 wins and in the top rank, but dear lord those rewards were absolutely dire. Bunch of fodder red picks and then a host of useless 84s and 83s from the ultimate pack. It's good to be back! At least I didn't have to wait until Thursday to be disappointed, right enough.

I'm 10-1 myself, a couple of tight games today but plenty of really early rage quits and I'd say over the piece my record is about spot on. Surprised to have started so well, and even the one I did lose I was simply out-teamed in against Mbappe, Kante etc (one of the few guys I've played so far who's done such cards any justice). Connection has been a touch better for me in the second lot of games I've played this evening and hopefully I'll be in a fit enough state to convert this strong start into a Rank II finish come Sunday. I do quite like the new format overall, had it still been a straight 30 at the weekend I'd probably not have bothered whatsoever but I might find myself entering a few WLs when time/boredom permits this year. The rewards are pretty decent, and combined with the play-off ones represent a pretty big upgrade. I'm still not sure what the script is with red picks, though (can anyone explain?) - not that I expect to ever get anyone remotely decent.

Champs servers clearly a bit of a mess again, would hope it's just the result of hype around the first WL and the fact it's a Friday night but the gameplay is so unresponsive at the moment. Off to a 5-0 flier but it's going to be a slog getting through more if it keeps up like this.

Aye, maybe worth double-checking elsewhere but I'm pretty certain you could play the PS4 standard edition simultaneously by undertaking the same steps I outlined above. Not missing out on a great deal anyway - it's pretty much just aesthetics, and definitely not ones worth almost double the price.

If you buy it digitally then yes - you couldn't do it with a physical copy as you'd need a disc to launch the game and resultantly only one of you could play at any given time. To concurrently play the same version of a digital game, you'll have to create a new user and set the 'foreign' PSN account which the game was bought from as the primary account on the other console, which will then allow other users on said console to play digital games from the primary account's library (ie. FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition). The entire thing is a mess, tbh. If you go ahead with splashing out 90 sheets then I'd recommend at least buying a wallet top-up to shave some cash off that (click).
