I'm not expecting much out of the last few games. Injuries, tiredness and nothing to play for will play a big part. Got a squad we can build on, with a few tweeks can really set us up for a good season next year. A right back is a must, goal keeper situation is up for debate, i thought the young boy came on leaps and bounds since start of season. Also like to see a striker with a real killer instinct. Shame we didnt get the lad Diver last year, fair play to Beith jumping in with a better offer before he put pen to paper, he's proved to be a goid signing for them.

I think a few of us were slow with Diver-Lok should have been right on it bearing the big  connection with his Dad but we seemed to have been asleep at the wheel!

  2. Newlandsfield is a fantastic ground in a great location which generates a great atmosphere. If Lok had access to the funds that Gartcairn /St Cadocs/JB had then it could be upgraded a bit to something really special. But they don’t and the money to do these things has to come from fans.

I have, and it’s complete bull. Moves from Newlandsfield have been considered numerous times since the 80s, but theres nothing on the cards just now. Not even close. Interesting ‘Fulton One Nil’ chooses to post his tinpot theories on here and not on the Pollok Forum!

Spot on.Not sure what the hidden agenda is here!

On loan but only a gentlemen’s agreement that he couldn’t play.

No actual rule that he couldn’t play.

Ok -heard the clubs had a formal agreement he couldn’t play against the parent club but maybe that isn’t the case

Best team easily for the first 55 mins, then a hang on but Pollok were poor.

Yep we never got going and didn’t deserve anything.

Seemed a soft penalty to go behind in 15 minutes and that put us on the back foot but the second goal right at the start of the second half killed it.

    Well done to Darvel-deserved winners.

Totally agree it's a shocker having all finals up there . Couldn't think of many worse venues.

A top junior ground is more than ample for the west of Scotland cup final in particular  .

Agree-soulless place with the horrible surface and terrible to get to.Complete waste of time holding finals there especially the West which could easily have been at Meadow Park or Dunterlie etc

Can't really grumble about the outcome because Pollok kept going with ten men when the game was starting to look unassailable.

Talbot were playing into the wind in the second half so maybe the players were drained by that but it was like someone flicked a switch after the red card and from a position of complete control and playing smartly for the conditions, we stopped playing.

I didn't see the incident with the Pollok player going down in the first half but Talbot fans in earshot all thought we'd got off with one there.

I fucking detest penalty shootouts. When a player misses and a retake is ordered you just know he's going to miss it again. 😀

Good luck to Pollok in the final, I'd prefer you won it to Darvel ( no harm to SBA but it's going to be them isn't it).

    Appreciated.

It was a game of twists and turns and plenty of entertainment -and when we went behind at 2-1 with a man then off I feared a repeat of many games in the past when we would go on to lose 3 or 4 but this time we really showed grit and spirit which was very pleasing.

True. Can't really remember us having a dud between the sticks.

Andy was raw when he came into the side at first and had his critics but ended up the best of them all (for me).

Big Andy was just incredibly difficult to beat-many’s the time he kept us out with a combination of his physique and agility.Great keeper for Auchinleck

Talbot v Beith tomorrow,  big game could have a bearing on the league winner

Beezer of a game in store.

Very hard to call but Auchinleck are an incredibly hard side to face when on form so I think with their momentum they might just edge it.But who knows ….

My moneys on Talbot just to pip Beith.

Some run they have put together.

Incredible form in a very competitive league. Now that Auchinleck have built up momentum they will be hard to stop and it will require big performances from all the title challengers against them
