Fwiw the money that Jimmy Lindsay spent was from the sale of the land that the social club sat on, not from Adamslie itself. That was a separate deal completely.

Ah ok-hopefully there is then plenty still locked away but I imagine with a decade of running costs and very little income if any that money will have been getting eaten away?

If rob roy put all that money into the new ground it has to be theirs surely.

Absolutely-surely they only put capital into the new stadium development once an agreement had been signed about ownership/control/use etc?It would be beyond belief if they just threw in the Adamslie cash without knowing what they were getting in return.

The likes of bsc can be serial ' flitters' and play out of alloa ,clyde and  then dumbarton and such like in their past but rob roy can't get the opportunity to play out of a new ground in their home town.

Anyone else think the baws burst?

The whole thing looks like a complete disaster.

But selling Adamslie with no relocation plan in place created this situation.

Haha , aye nae bother m8 … if you don’t win it it’ll be because you’ve shit the bed … you have 4 games in hand , Beith are favourites.

With this league being as competitive as it has ever been I think that points already won are more valuable than any games in hand. And Clydebank keep winning so I think they are favourites at the moment no matter how much that is downplayed.

Who’ll be first to be sacked maxi or Murdi.

maxi will be under huge pressure now while trigger happy Cumnock won’t accept just one win from their 3rd manager in 5 months

Maxi isn’t under any huge pressure. He has overhauled a whole team and the fans are just looking to see something better than last season come the end of this one

No Beith thread but they've applied for planning permission for floodlights (only 200lux with one at each corner but enough for entry level), so if everything else has been sorted in the meantime it could mean a licence in the spring.

Ground ownership issue not actually sorted as no more information can be found about the trust that was wound up, but seems like they can go ahead anyway.

Good stuff-but how are they going to be able to get permission from the owners of the ground to do the work on the ground as tenants?

Not sure but I was at it last year and believe it was open to all season ticket holders. Which is fair in my opinion.

Not sure if that means that all members are season ticket holders and vice versa at Darvel and so attend AGMs which are called per the club constitution.Or if the club is set up entirely differently did Mr Gall host what could be loosely termed an AGM voluntarily as an open meeting for fans?

That would be a body blow but we just need to keep ekeing out results. I agree that Talbot are not out of any mix despite the start but any of top 8 or 9 will have a say in the league

It’s going to be tight -Clydebank were pretty consistent last season and I think are even more so in the league this season.I would like to think we would be up there as we can be very very good sometimes but on other days let ourselves down

Problem with getting a run at it in West Premier is that there are a glut of teams that can cause each other real problems. Top 8 or 9 are well capable of taking points from each other.

    It’s absolutely right Bill.

There are a load of teams who are dangerous opponents so it’s an incredibly tough and competitive league. Its all about who keeps consistency and at the moment Clydebank are definitely the team doing that.Games in hand in a league this tough don’t count for much but points already won absolutely do

This will only last so long.  Backers get board, we’ve seen that at ours first hand this season.

I heard that last nights game was very little crowd, pollock being one of the best supported clubs, st cadocs had next to none.  I know st cadocs have a big youth set up which giving the area it is in I’m sure will charge an arm and a leg which is obviously part funding it.

for me teams without their own grounds shouldn’t be allowed at this level.  I know we had to ground share for a bit with Hurlford however that was purely down to pitch renovations.

A few hundred last night and when St Cadocs scored there was total silence in the crowd  so I’m not sure they had a single supporter there.

Pollok canny win when it counts. Tuckers got us back oan track and Talbot wul finish above them.
Maxwell is a politician but big geme track record is no gid enuf.
When the last time Pollok finished above the Bot?

Lok are inconsistent and blow hot and cold-that’s been an issue for quite a while and that’s why we fail to win things-and the current manager doesn’t seem to be able to fix that at the moment either.
