  1. He had a disaster against Alloa Athletic on Saturday but he looks like a solid-enough signing. Well done to the lads on the Supporters Trust for helping with the transfer.
  2. That Cedric Alexander-Cien Almas match was fantastic. Both boys looked a million dollars in it. Alexander's got tonnes of charisma. Loved it!
  3. Stone Cold Steve Austin CM Punk Kevin Nash Steve "The Lethal Weapon" Blackman Daniel Bryan Will probably have to have a long, hard think about the rest.
  4. I was watching an old WCW PPV recently - I think it might have been Slamboree 2000 - and they had a triple-cage match. I can't remember what the rules were but I think they had to climb to the top of this three-tiered pyramid to get the belt. Chris Kanyon took a massive bump from the top, I think.
  5. Cage matches these days tend to be pretty crappy. Allowing one of the wrestlers to win via the door is candy-ass as heck. The worst cage match of all time was probably John Cena -vs Bray Wyatt back in 2014 (I think) where a wee lad in a sheep mask scared Big Match John into losing. Terrible!
  6. A frustrating show, all in. Other than the Cruiserweight match there wasn't a lot to shout about (and the way the Cruiserweights were introduced reminded me a lot of the botched Divas Revolution from last year - here's a bunch of people you might have heard of, cheer for them!) The multi-man face/heel tag-team match was daft, it's pretty annoying when people come out one by one and drop 20-second promos like that. Bayley taking the L in the women's tag match was weird. I look forward to the seventh match between Sheamus and Cesaro. The weirdest part of the show was Seth Rollins making the save for Roman Reigns. Why on earth would that happen?
  7. Weird episode tonight - more complaints about the bin collections and Les showing untrammelled emotion after a month of ashen-faced grimacing. So heavy-handed was the writing that when Pam was speaking to the woman in the courtroom toilet, it was quite obvious she'd be the mother of Simon (the worst bad guy in EastEnders since Gavin Sullivan).
  8. Here's another quiz, but this time try to list every player who worked under Davie Irons! Some toppers in here! CLICK
  9. I'm bored as heck tonight so I've made a Sporcle quiz to separate the men from the boys. Try and name every player to have featured in a competitive match for Stenhousemuir while Scott Booth was the manager - CLICK.
  10. Interesting stuff on the Stenhousemuir website - CLICK. I'm pleased to see Bomber's sticking around for the long term - he's a smashing guy and I'm glad he's in charge of my football team. Hopefully he sorts out our latest defensive crisis and turns this side into something a little more competitive.
  11. lol @ Fide, what a sweating VL he is, on this thread or anywhere else on the forum.
  12. Last night's episode wasn't much better. All I remember about it was Linda moaning about the darts team's lack of practice. Who cares.
  13. How do brers like Frank the Clown and the Brock Lesnar Guy afford to travel to so many shows? (Unless they're plants, of course.)
  14. It's surely time to give James Howarth, or whoever our reserve goalie is, a shot because Colin McCabe seems to be costing us a goal a game. He should have done miles better with Albion Rovers' first goal at the the weekend but he contrived to allow a tame-looking shot to spill from his grasp and into the path of their striker for a tap-in. After Jamie Barclay I didn't think things could get much worse for us but we're really no better off. Barclay was probably cheaper too.
  15. Caught the highlights from the weekend's 7-1 win over Stenhousemuir - what's wrong with your stadium announcer? He sounds deranged, screaming like that after every goal. Someone have a word with him.
  16. My Sky+ recording packed in after 44 minutes so I was treated to a pretty neat show. Fair play to big Roman Reigns still lurking about at the top of the card, though. It's a great idea to have him in a match to beat the champion in order to get into a match where he takes on the champion.
  17. It's unsurprising seeing "Randy Giles" have another nightmare in the wrestling subsection of Pie and Bovril.
  18. Last night's show sounds really interesting. I'm over the moon to see Kevin Owens win the championship it but (and I've only read the results) could it have been done without Triple H helping him? Is this going to see a return of The Authority? Do we really need another Authority-driven angle in 2016?
  19. My word, that's a heck of a promo. Great stuff from The Miz, he's been one of the most consistently entertaining characters for the past 18 months. Daniel Bryan was the boy who got me back into the wrestling at the start of 2014 but he's been a dork since he's come back as General Manager. Good to see The Miz telling us what everyone knows already.
  20. Really enjoyable show, but then you don't really expect anything else from an NXT PPV these days. Bobby Roode really looked the part and his entrance and theme music are excellent (although his finisher is shit, it's just a daft pump-handle slam!), Ember Moon should add some credibility to the challenge for the women's title, and the tag-team match was fantastic. Keeping the belts on The Revival was the right thing to do, they're a nasty pair of bastards and their work on Johnny Gargano's knee at the end was just plain mean. Love them. Shinsuke Nakamura, dearie me. Might be one of the sexiest wrestlers I've ever seen. Some boy.
  21. Slater was class, and fair play to him. Brock Lesnar was excellent in that segment too, the "I don't give a shit about your kids" line was a cracker. But aye, not a great show all in.
  22. Weird show with a lot of things that didn't seem to make a lot of sense. It's probably been written loads of times but why is Rusev the bad guy in this feud with Roman Reigns? He's stuck up for his wife, he's made several very fair points about the United States Championship being Raw's top title (for now, at least) and why Reigns doesn't deserve a shot at it, while his opponent comes down to the ring smirking and making dreadful jokes (Lana as a mail-order bride? Hilrious!) and gets what he wants all the time. So the two fight at the end of the show for Lana's honour - what does that even mean? And Reigns wins, clean as a whistle, in the middle of the ring. What's the point in watching them fight at SummerSlam? That was probably the worst part of the show but chuck in stuff like Anderson and Gallows firing stuff into a microwave, the terrible crowd, Mick Foley, Titus O'Neil turning heel (the guy's probably one of the purest babyfaces on the whole show!) and giving away the Demon King (which sounds far too similar to the Demon Kane) and it was juts a mess. Hard to believe we're already at this stage after such an excellent show three weeks ago.
  23. I thought the picture of him holding the fish was pretty self-explanatory, but yes, that David Sinclair.
  24. Needs must, but I always thought we were well stocked in central midfield. Keen to see how he does against Rangers' kids team tomorrow night.
