  1. Please stop ribbing the opposition and concentrate on our game at the weekend.... oh wait..... Actually the Ayr v. Falkirk game could be an absolute cracker or a complete damp squib. In paper Falkirk could conceivably be happy with a draw however, after their performance in the penalty shootout, I very much doubt it. Also a Draw would be unlikely to be enough to get into the highest runners up section. Ayr will go for it; I don't think theirs any question about it. They will feel unlucky to have lost out on Tuesday night in the last few minutes, at home in front of their home crowd... As for the other match I believe the local accident and emergency services have been put on high alert. There probably wont be much quarter given.
  2. Actually he's a St. Johnstone fan but more importantly only Heart; Sevco and Celtic seem to travel in numbers now. Hibs and Aberdeen don't travel in anywhere the numbers they used to 15 years ago. Last season it seemed St Mirren travelled in greater number than Hibs.
  3. Actually he's correct in saying that's not a red card - whether it should have been a red card is another question. If Devlin had rolled around on the ground screaming, AKA Andy Ryan, then it might have been a different story.
  4. Actually want his injury picked up in the first leg playoff game against Partick Thistle? Ended up out of the game for over six months I think.
  5. Just seen an update from Callum Carson: Shocked... but maybe not surprised.
  6. I suppose so; actually I don't think they looked better than Falkirk in the first half but definitely seemed significantly better in the second. Don't know what was said in the dressing room but it might be the reason the team decided to come out five minutes early. Hairdryer anyone?
  7. Thing is a red card can also punish both sides in such a small "league" for want of a better description. If the offender was one of the key Ayr players and they had him missing for the following game, i.e. the Falkirk one, that would actually benefit Falkirk more than Livingston. Currently Falkirk are second in the "league" with 4 points; wins against Ayr and Berwick will put them on 10. Ideally from a Livi perspective we'd prefer a draw with Ayr winning on penalties. Historically our games at Stranraer havent always been comfortable affairs.
  8. That's almost witty - have a green one
  9. And we dealt with it - some of the offender were identified and received a lifetime ban; I believe another receive a caution by the police. Every club has a few idiots; some clubs however do nothing about them claiming its all to do with rivalry.
  10. Think so - we were all feeling a bit left out with the other arguments going on. And whilst we're about it don't your management ever arrange to clean all the seagull sh#t off the seats? Sorry is this a five minute argument or the full half hour?
  11. Not sure - for the first half it was Pepe on the left and Lithgow on the right. Still next week with Savane in the side we could be a lot stronger playing three at the back and two wing-backs.
  12. As a matter of interest was there was another game in Group G last night?
  13. I think the we hate Dundee song is the most pointless - particularly when we're playing Motherwell for example.
  14. Seemed to be quite happy in having two new French speakers in the team. Described them as the "French connection" of Livingston. I'd imagine he was a very strong part of the squad going forward unless of course we were offered silly money.
  15. Getting back to the football I was a bit disappointed in both Devlin and Crawford. A week ago they were great against Alloa but last night they seemed very off the pace. Devlin seemed to wander aimlessly around leaving a huge gap on the right wing although, in his defence, he really seemed to knuckle down for the last 15. Crawford seemed to be great one moment and totally distracted the next; in contrast he was running everything down in the Alloa game and I think he troubled every blade of (plastic) grass. Least ways I suppose the Betred cup does at least give teams a chance to settle before the real games start.
  16. Section A1 is way too small for 300 people - but, as I say, away supporters should be put in the East stand; anything else is a bit disrespectful. We did it with Brechin a couple of seasons back but they only brought 20 and a dug (and that was when they went the entire season without a win) but even so.
  17. Was interesting to see the two teams emerge at the start of the second half; Ayr were out early and keen to get on with it. Livingston by contrast came out like they'd had one almighty b0ll0cking in the dressing room and just wanted to get it over with. Unfortunately it looked the same on Saturday against Falkirk. Anyway lots of positives to take from the game; Ayr will certainly be in the playoffs (as a minimum) if they can maintain that form throughout the season.
  18. Ignoring the crowd w@nk for a moment; as a matter of interest where did all the Ayr supporters end up? I was informed that they'd been assigned section A1 which only holds 122. Were they moved into section A2 which holds 332? The problem being quite a few people had already bought tickets there ( wanting the same seat as their season ticket) and I know some people can get quite precious about it. Personally I believe all away supporters should be afforded space in the East stand so that some rivalry can be created - with everyone in the West Stand the atmosphere is frankly quite sh1te.
  19. Actually I'm pretty sure Ayr will be in the play-off this year as a minimum. I know the only other Championship side we've played recently was Alloa and that was friendly (10 changes each) but they were really light years ahead of that standard. For Ayr I think it will be another question of whether they can keep up that for for the entire season.
  20. Made heavy weather of it to be honest. Ayr were a significantly better side than Falkirk but Willie Collum did his best to spoil an otherwise entertaining game.
  21. Strangely Savane has been given shirt number 29. Shirt number 3 is still available.....
  22. I was impressed with him at the Alloa game. Didnt have any problem on their pitch; big; strong and fast. Also don't think he missed out on one tackle - I know it was only a makeshift Alloa side (with the greatest of respect to Alloa) and people were finding their place but he seemed to fit straight in. Rarely has a trialist impressed me so much on one game and am looking forward to seeing him as a regular at left back/wing back. Unfortunately another time I was impressed by a trialist was the midfielder (Patrick Noubissie?) who appeared as a trialist for us and did really well before signing for Hibs and being loaned back to us. When he came back he was god awful - he already had a two year contract with Hibs so evidently felt he didn't need to try.... So what do I know????
  23. Stadium Car park for a fiver or take the chance on Lidl's car park for free. As far as I am aware they only check for daytime matches. The third option is St. Margaret's academy car park EH54 6AT) (- a little further away but there's a handy bridge taking you to the East side of the stadium. EDIT - forgot to mention the shopping centre is free after 6pm but is a little further away
