Coverage pissed me off this evening. I'm off work for a while so I watched the whole afternoon session between Trump and Advani. I thought about watching the evening sessions live on Eurosport but thought "sod it I'll watch a film then watch the highlights later". Watched the highlights... all they showed was the Trump match again, no coverage whatsoever of the two evening games. I understand not everybody is off work and might have wanted to watch it, but surely they could've at least have shown brief highlights of the other games? I've nothing against Trump, but it's annoying how the BBC seem to think (like they did when that p***k O'Sullivan played) that nobody could possibly be interested in any matches not involving him.

Bugger. Was half-hoping Da Bears would go for him, admittedly it seemed unlikely.

If Anderson could hit doubles more often, he'd win the World title at least once and always be among the best five players. His scoring is as good as anybody's. Maybe he should work with a sports psychologist?

I don't know how to post YouTube links via my phone but if you just search "American Football made simple" or "Anerican Football explained" or something like that. Plenty of links come up. Haven't tried them cos too lazy but maybe pick one with lots of "likes" then that should help you. Still better to watch with a mate though so you can ask as you go along. So long as you understand the downs, you'll be able to pick the rest up easily enough.

If you have Sky they quite often (well once a season or so) do an NFL for dummies type day where they talk you through the rules. I bet there is similar stuff online, hang on I'll have a look...

Scotland started excellently then made hard work of it. They'll still go through easily enough then lose to England with Anderson missing 17 match-winning doubles. Felt a bit sorry for the Finish bloke who was clearly put off by the crowd. Then again it's part of the game these days you have to be able to deal with it.
