The St. Mirren FC 2023/24 thread

Ayunga is the only striker we have that I think is good enough for this league. No arguement from me about our keeper and hope we can keep him for an other season. -

Guy called Ali Adams playing for Arbroath today certainly looked like a real striker. Wonder if Saints would have any interest in him -

Well done to all and pleasing to see us play more like we did early in the season. More of the same on Tuesday please. -

Excellent stuff and more like how we played early in the season. Oh, and the best ref i have seen all season for not giving fouls when somebody breathe on your back. -

We are certainly coping with the weather better than the Dons. Hoping the wind changes direction at h/t as well. Be a sore 1 if we don't go on to win. -

Fair due but not much better or worst than what we have. Shame we couldn't have dodged a few more bullet with what we have. -

I just wish we had 1 striker that was half decent at heading the ball in the penalty area. Wonder how Fletcher doing at Wrexham -

Crowd was given as 7937 which would say all tickets were sold. -
Happen often at this junction. Last week a lorry went straight across to Glebe St instead of turning right. Plenty of horns were blown with the driver looking unaware he was to blame.

Would that have been the game Goodwin handed the ball in the box and the pen wasn't given ? If so, i can remember a picture of Goodwin with 10 x on his arm in a spot the ball competition being on the forum. All money raised was to go to Derek Adams SPFL fine appeal fund. Sure someone will still have it. -

Just show what can happen when playing Small (who i thought played well considering his lack of playing time) in his normal position instead of trying to shoehorn players like McMenamin into the team. Reckon we also seen who are our best 2 players to play together up front. Rookie Ref was poor but that was no surprise. -

Has Mandron goals not been mainly against lower league clubs in the cup ? I still feel Ayunga is a far better player all round, but would be happy to be proved wrong by the other strikers, starting tomorrow night. -

Ayunga is far better than all our other strikers, and he is looking better with every game he had played since he came back. Just need to find the best partner to play with him up front. -

With Celtic ladies beating the Dons ladies 13-0 today with Rangers only beating them 5-1 the last time they played, maybe Boyd is right -

I feel you need to applause the Rangers defenders for never ever committing any fouls in the pen box at any stage of most league games. I honestly didn't know they were so good -
Surely being manager of Rangers or Celtic would be great for an non bigot supporter of a diddy team. The chance to sign real diddy players of the wrong religion for large amount of money on long contracts. Set the teams up so they get humped every week. In other words, cost the club as much as you can and make every game a nightmare for the fans. All knowing yourself is going to walk away with a large payoff, what not to like

Far to many, as usual.
