Saint Mirren v Queen of the South
tam the bud replied to Bluenortherner's topic in Domestic Cup Football
When i saw Ambrose was playing in the middle of Queens defence, my 1st thought was ya dancer. 90 mins later, i ask what was the point is the club spending 30K, 40K 50K ? in a winter week in Spain and come back to play like that today. Money wasted in Spain would have been better spent on a decent striker. 2 things today for me, McMenamin is just not good enough and thankfully Gogic is a Saint. -

Did we even try to resign him or was it just the papers guessing again ? -

Maybe help if some home teams would allow away fans to be behind the goals. Thinking of Ross C putting small amount to the side, Killie and sometimes Motherwell putting them in the top tier out of the sight of the cameras. All helps to makes the ground looked more empty more than it is. -

I can remember an away game in midweek at Falkirk that saints won, and also a win against Motherwell away on a Sat with Dorman scoring. Can't recall final scores or what channel was showing the games. My guess at least 12 yrs ago those games were played. -
Aberdeen v St Mirren, farewell to 2023.

I agree with you. I also have a 45 yrs grudge against him, not for working his ticket to get the sack so he could join the Dons, but for having the nerve to sue the club for unfair dismissal. Plenty of times he took a Man U team to Aberdeen for different reasons, but not once did he bring a Man U team to Love St even when we were skint. I actually had an invite to meet him when he came to Paisley to award Tony Fitzpatrick an investing in people award, when he was running Total Soccer around 20 yrs ago. Decided he wasn't worth me wasting a holiday to take a day of work -

Ayunga is the only striker we have that I think is good enough for this league. No arguement from me about our keeper and hope we can keep him for an other season. -

Guy called Ali Adams playing for Arbroath today certainly looked like a real striker. Wonder if Saints would have any interest in him -

Excellent stuff and more like how we played early in the season. Oh, and the best ref i have seen all season for not giving fouls when somebody breathe on your back. -

We are certainly coping with the weather better than the Dons. Hoping the wind changes direction at h/t as well. Be a sore 1 if we don't go on to win. -

Fair due but not much better or worst than what we have. Shame we couldn't have dodged a few more bullet with what we have. -

I just wish we had 1 striker that was half decent at heading the ball in the penalty area. Wonder how Fletcher doing at Wrexham -

Crowd was given as 7937 which would say all tickets were sold.
